Aaron is invited to a baseball game during Passover, and his mom sends him with a bag lunch of matzah and tuna. Aaron is embarrassed until his friends go off for snacks and something wonderful happens.
This is one of the best Jewish holiday books for children that I've ever read. It captures the frustration a boy feels at going to a baseball game (opening day?) and being unable to eat any of the food sold at the stadium because it's not kosher for Passover. The ending, which I won't spoil, might not be entirely realistic, but it incorporates a time-honored Jewish theme and I found it very satisfying in a bittersweet sort of way.
Remember liking this Passover story, especially the bit about Ebbets Field. Seems strange now to read baseball names that would have been contemporary when this was published.
