Once they arrive, the ghosts put the Hotel Strange gang on trialwhere they learn that some rules are important, but too many can be downright silly.

This book has lots of bright colors, lighting up each page you read. the text is easy to follow along. It takes place at "The Strange Hotel" it begins with telling us winter has arrived, dust bunnies are snuggled and sound asleep. It then goes off by telling us that Mr. Snarf has been a very bad ghost because he hasn't scared anyone. This book gives the reader a sense to build up their imagination. Every scene has has an accuracy of whats going on, the text matches the pictures. When there is a text that shows some attitude the picture portrays that.
Each page has different colors and the pictures do not bleed to the same context. Each page gives its own character. The text is short and sweet, you don't feel overwhelmed with the information that is given. I would definitely recommend this children because there is so much going on, the colorful colors grasp your attention and who doesn't like a bit of imagination in a book.

This is a fun series which I find adorable. First, I just love the art and the characters; they all have a creepy-cute air about them. This story concentrates on Mr. Snarf, a ghost, being arrested by officers from his home, a cloud city. The gang takes off in an hot air balloon to rescue him only to find the ghosts live in a city where it is forbidden to do basically anything. Could incite some discussion about laws, what they are for, and when they go too far taking away freedom. Fun book, I missed #3 so I'm going to go back and read it too.

Zima... a jak zima, to sen - zimowy. Mieszkańcy HOTELU DZIWNEGO przygotowują swoje posłania, ale kogoś brakuje, kogoś nie ma tam, gdzie być powinien. Pan Snarf! Ten poczciwy duch. Co się z nim stało? A stała się rzecz straszna, bo przybyły po niego duchy policjanci, gdyż złamał szereg zasad, w tym tą, że nie wolno mu się było przyjaźnić z mieszkańcami Ziemi. Cóż... nasza dzielna ekipa musi wyruszyć na odsiecz, prost w chmury - bo to właśnie tam znajduje się Kraina Duchów.
To już niestety ostatni tom serii HOTEL DZIWNY. "Duchy w chmurach" zachwycają kreską, ilustracje są w tym tomie chyba najlepsze. Wodze fantazji poszybowały chen, wysoko wysoko i się to opłaciło. Jeśli chodzi o treść, to chyba najmniej mnie ujęła, choć przyznaję, że wiele pomysłów mi się bardzo podobało. Szkoda tylko, że bohaterowie nie są jednak bardziej pogłębieni, ale ma to być dla dzieci i ma być miłe i takie jest.
Piękne kolory! No słuchajcie, ogląda się to cudownie. Mamy sporo naprawdę dużych ilustracji i te z balonem w roli głównej rządzą. Bywa zabawnie, ale bywa też poważnie. Znajdziemy tu sprawy błahe, jak karmelki (choć one nie dla wszystkich okazują się "sprawą błahą"), ale mamy też sprawy poważne, groźbę utraty przyjaciela z powodu głupich przepisów.
Każdy tom tej serii na końcu ma przepis na smakołyk, którym zajadają się bohaterowie HOTELU DZIWNEGO. W tym tomie mamy przepis na karmelki. Ja wypróbowałam ciasto orzechowe i jest PRZEPYSZNE i banalne w przygotowaniu, ale po szczegóły odsyłam do komiksu.
