A wonderfully rich and challenging book for the seeker -- prayer as spiritual surrender, not as in "asking favors of the Great White Grandfather In The Sky" -- not a light "how-to" -- compelling, thought-provoking. It is one of those books that you pick up at a certain time and lightbulbs go on in the dark corners of your heart. If I had read this at another time, perhaps it wouldn't have had the same impact. Highly recommended if you are looking for deepening your spiritual practice.
