4. Stars. The twelve novels, all of them. Well worth it for someone coming to Miss Marple for the first time. I didn't listen to this collection, having read all the novels and short stories over the last few years and enjoyed them, but I wanted to make sure the entries are helpful. Maybe encourage more people to discover one of the best authors. The highlights are: "The Moving Finger", "A Murder is Announced", "4:50 from Paddington", and "Nemesis." But you can't go wrong with any of the Miss Marple novels. Agatha Christie's mind was so fertile when it came to writing murder mysteries. Lots of complication, clues, and confusion. Relax and listen to a BBC tape. A good idea! (March 2021)

I chose this collection to complete task #23 of the 2018 Book Riot Read Harder Challenge: A book with a female protagonist over the age of 60. It also satisfies the requirements of task #3: A classic of genre fiction (i.e. mystery, sci fi/fantasy, romance).
