A boy who has trouble sleeping loves to read in bed. But then weird lights begin to flash the code for S.O.S. through his window. Who is calling for help? Could it be the spirits of garment workers that died in a fire decades earlier at a warehouse across the way? If so, why are they reaching out to him? And can he do something to help these spirits rest in peace? Or will the haunting only get worse?
I give S.O.S a solid 3.5 it was a rapid read. it had great grammar and it kept me hooked. At the end of every chapter, it would hook you and you would have to read another chapter. It did this 5 chapters in a row and then I woke up the next morning with the book in my hands. If that doesn't tell you how good this book is then I don't know what will. I enjoyed reading this book because I like horror books they just make me want to keep reading and my brain shuts off. This book was also very interesting because you would always want to know what happened next. Especially at the beginning because I wanted to know why the light in the abandoned factory was. I would recommend this book to whoever likes short reads or horror books. I didn't find many things wrong with this book because I liked it so much but there were some parts of the book that got hard to read like when he came face to face with the ghost. That part was hard to read because there was so much going on at once. There wasn't much I learned from this book but something I did learn was that this book was great there was one part that I took what not to do and that is to not go into an abandoned factory. It may sound dumb but I probably found myself with friends walking into an abandoned factory. Overall this book was great and I am going to read more books by this author because it was so amazing if you like horror books check out this gem it is one of the best books I have ever read and I a going to read it again.
I enjoyed this book very much, it was filled with action and mysteries. The book was also very thrilling and kept me reading each day and night. Here are some reasons why I love this book. One, I'm into mysteries and thrilling books, and this book checked each of those boxes. Two, the book left hints to let you figure things out yourself, and the author also tried to throw the reader off. Lastly, the book included things about problems in real life that others may relate to. This book is what kept me up all night reading. So, this is why these reasons support me in my decision to why you should read this book, I really do recommend it!
Low level, high interest spooky read for reluctant readers at the middle or high school level... This is my favorite of the Midnight series... A perfect little ghost story!
High interest lowered reading level for struggling readers. Mystery or suspense and fine for Middle or High School students. Great series for students who feel they don't like books.
midnight s.o.s by j Fallenstein this book is about an accident from a kayaking boy and his dad after crashing and getting hyperthermia and setting off a signal that says s.o.s in the arctic ocean favorite part about the book is when Tyrell the boy walked into the haunted warehouse and then a ghost girl scares him I think that this book should be 9 and up
