The first part of the book gives you some practical examples and teaches you something about the REST API of Wordpress. I'd give it 3.5 stars.
However, somewhat around the middle of the book, the story is completely lost and it becomes an extremely dry lecture on WP REST API. Same points are repeated all over again and it takes a good deal of motivation to get through the end.Lengthy theoretical discussions and speculations about the author's take on the future of Wordpress REST API could have been a good topic for a blog post, but they are totally out of place in a technical book.
