The History of the United States: History 8 for Young Catholics

Rate this book
This entirely new Catholic textbook covers the Historical period from the Discovery of America to the 2008 election. The text is a major revision over the previous edition for two reasons. First, unlike the earlier work, The History of the United States contains hundreds of color pictures, maps and graphs. Second, it reads like an exciting adventure story. The book is interesting, challenging, and easy to read. It is written especially for 8th graders but most 7th graders will enjoy the book as well. There are review questions throughout the 32 chapters and end of chapter questions to help the students focus on the important content. These answers can be answered orally or on a separate sheet of paper. The answers for the end of chapter questions are contained in an answer key in the back of the book. 5 1/2 x 8 inches. Full color. 676 pages.
