At eight years old, Hailey’s life took a turn for the better when her mom married Darnell, despite the fact she had to put up with his asshole son for a stepbrother. Eight years later — the day after her stepbrother graduated high school — Darnell and his son moved out, and the divorce was final six weeks later. She hasn’t seen either of them since.

Ghost works at the gun store, but one evening the MC is shorthanded and he’s sent to help watch over their stable of working girls. He walks in and smells Hailey, his ex-stepsister, and shortly thereafter drags her out and carries her home.

Brothers and sisters fight. It’s what they do. But when the worst happens, they’re there for each other. They haven’t seen each other in six years, but some things never change.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Candace Blevins writes urban fantasy, paranormal romance, epic fantasy contemporary BDSM romance, and two kick-ass motorcycle club series. She’s published more than fifty books. Candace lives with her husband of twenty-four years and their two teenaged daughters. The family’s beloved, goofy, retired racing greyhounds are usually at her side as she writes, quietly keeping her company. Or sometimes not so quietly.

Her urban fantasy series, Only Human, gives us a world where weredragons, werewolves, werelions, three different species of vampires, and a variety of other mythological beings exist.

Candace's various paranormal romance series are all sister series to the Only Human series, and give some secondary characters their happily ever after.

Her Dark(ish) Faerie Tale series gives us a close-up and personal look at Queen Mab, and her Dark Underbelly series is, as you’d expect, dark and (if you’re a little twisted) oh-so-yummy.

Her contemporary Safeword series gives us characters who happen to have some extreme kinks. Relationships can be difficult enough without throwing power exchange into the mix, and her books show characters who care enough about each other to fight to make the relationship work. Each couple in the Safeword series gives the reader a different take on the lifestyle.

Ghost was a whirlwind of a book I kept reading into the wee hours of the morning until I finally forced myself to put down my iPad and try to catch some sleep. At times it felt like there was a lot of telling instead of showing, but there was so much happening on the pages for once this didn’t bother me. We get a huge dose of both the MC and the vampires in this one and when everything gets turned upside down even the Concilio turns up for more than their usual cameo.

Ghost has been around for awhile. Quiet would be how I would describe him, always in the background doing what needed to be done. Known for being able to fade into the shadows and not be seen, his skillset has been well appreciated by his MC brothers. One day he walks into the club owned cat house and smells his ex-stepsister and from that moment on his world went crazy.

The good thing was he got his former step-sister back in his life and she was all grown up now. Once a gifted musician, an accident took away her ability to play music, so she changed course. I can’t say I completely understood her reasoning for becoming a prostitute, but I also get that she had a plan and for her this was the best way to implement it. I was impressed with how well Ghost dealt with the fact that Hailey was a hooker when he found her. He didn’t sweep it under the rug, but he didn’t dwell either. It was a struggle for him, but he finally got to the “who am I to judge” point and went on with the important stuff, living life with his woman.

As their relationship slowly went from being ex-step-siblings to a being a couple, they rekindled the strong bond they had when they were young and it became even tighter, just in a different way. Their chemistry was hot, their sexcapades even hotter. Faced with unbelievable pushback from several places, including their families, they worked hard to keep a united front.

A well-meaning attempt to help Hailey ended up starting a chain of events that completely changed both of their lives. The foreshadowing was obvious and had me wondering what the cost would be, and in the end, the results could be considered either a blessing or a curse. I can’t get into too many details or I’d give it all away but let’s just say Ghost wanted to give Hailey her life back, and she ended up getting more than anyone ever could have imagined which upset a whole bunch of apple carts.

A war started brewing between some area gangs and the MC got caught up in it and the cost was dear. My heart hurt for a few of the characters I’m quite fond of. Through all this, the brotherhood held firm, stretching itself thin to be there in whatever way they could for every member who was affected, especially for Ghost and Hailey. As things kept getting crazier and crazier, and even when the Concilio got involved the MC stood firmly behind Ghost, no matter what the potential cost.

I devoured this book and will probably do a re-read fairly soon since there were so many twists and turns. I still think there could have been a little more showing and less telling, but that’s my only real complaint. I’m not a huge fan of roller coasters but this was one ride I had fun on.

Kitty's review posted at Guilty Pleasures Book Reviews

I knew, before even opening this book, that Ghost was going to be something special. I was not prepared for everything that went on and it took me a full two days to really process everything, to come to terms with some things that happened. I wanted to take my time before writing this review because a lot happened and I knew that I really had to think about it all.

Hailey and Ghost were special. They were both head-strong. They enjoyed each other. They trusted each other. In short, they were meant to be together. Their relationship, at first, was tumultuous but, when Hailey realized that Ghost was trying to protect her and not run her life, she understood and things then became easier. They both needed to come to terms with the fact that they hadn’t stopped loving each other, even after all the years apart. Hailey had to forgive him for leaving … Ghost had to forgive her for doing what she had to in order to survive. In the end, they both realized that they had each other’s backs and would do whatever it took to make the other happy and whole.

Candace Blevins has a particular way with words and with telling a story. In Ghost, she brought out all the good about her writing. She never gave us down time and had us on our toes wondering just what she was going to throw at us next. Was this her whole plan with Ghost? I’m not sure but that’s exactly what she did. She threw some things at me that had me open-mouthed and wondering about her sanity and asking “how could she do that?”. I seriously think that I said “really!?!” twenty times during this story. I didn’t think it was possible, I really thought that I knew Candace Blevins … I was wrong. I cannot tell you when the last time was that I was surprised, shocked and sometimes left speechless while reading a story. Kudos for knocking me on my ass, Ms. Blevins.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention just how wonderfully written all the sex scenes were staged and written. Again, I expect this from Candace Blevins but she really went above and beyond again. She had just the right amount of straight sex, mixed with dominant sex, mixed with BDSM. She knows how to bring the dominant out in her male characters and how to bring her female characters to their knees. Makes me stop and wonder just what she would do with a male submissive.

But, as for the story itself, I was totally enthralled with how she brought everyone and everything together. Old friends, new friends. Old problems, new problems. Viper played such a prominent role in this story along with Bran. It was great learning more about the both of them and I truly do look forward to seeing more of them in the future.

Ghost is known for his stealthy silent ways. What his brothers do not know is how he slid so quietly and quickly from a beloved step-sister and step-mother at his father's command. Darius aka Ghost is now in Chattanooga RTMC chapter. He has a good life. He owns a nice home, works a great job and is surrounded by his brothers. There are the sweet-butts used when he needs a warm and willing hole, but other than that, life is just on cruise control. This is until he makes a stop at the RTMC's whore house to check up on things. The last thing he expects is to see his step-sister Hailey looking anorexic, trashy dyed red hair, cheap clothing and heavy whore make up. He immediately pulls her out of the whore house and to the safety of his home.

The hypocrisy the males in a motorcycle club use upon females in this world is just frustrating. Their double standards are annoying and I just want to smack them all upside the heads on this one. They may be "noble" and "loyal" but only in their specific rules to their specific male members. Screw the females... literally and figuratively. As a good friend reminded me, these males are supposed to be pigs. They are anti-heroes for a reason. It is always a nice surprise when an author can turn it around and I do not see red and want to throttle these MC thugs. Oh, sorry, MC anti-heroes. *snerk* As thugs anti-heroes go, Ghost is actually better than most. He isn't a horn dog nor is he one to treat whores poorly. I liked this about him. I also liked how logical he can be. He is protective without being overbearing. He is supportive and loving without a whole bunch of baggage. Sure his mother is incarcerated and his father is a career military man, but his experiences did not make him crazy like some of this other brothers... like Gonzo.

The conflicts in this story come in many fronts. I am a bit surprised where this story ended up going. It feels like a departure from the RTMC focus which is fine. The first half of the book takes a look into the territory wars between four different criminal factions. There are two gangs which report into a "head" guy for the cartel and then there are the RTMC. Of the lessor evils, it is clear the RTMC are the ones who come out ahead, only because they don't peddle drugs and they don't kill children. The story works well as it sets up how Ghost and Hailey become more intimate and their step-sibling relationship morphs into sexy times with spankings and anal sex! WOOHOO! ANAL ANAL ANAL!

The sex in here is actually rather tame. No deviant behaviours. No nasty dirty depraved orgies in detail. I'm a little put out with the lack of sexy time. The hints of what could happen for payment, now that is what has my body revving and jonesing for a hit - literally and figuratively. There is a possibility that one character must pay in blood to a vampire and not through the usual "I vant to suck your blood... mowhahahahha" way. Instead it is by being tied up and whipped to the blood and having the dripping blood licked off by said vampire. Woah, is it hot in here? Or is it just me? Because that immediately sent my heart racing and my pussy a quivering. There is no lasting damage or scarring from this. It is only twenty to thirty minutes of exquisite restraint whilst suffering through an ecstasy of sharp lines of pain. Then to be licked, nibbled and sucked clean ... can we possibly thrown in a little bit of sex here too? That would send me over the moon. Unfortunately, for those panting for this scene... it does NOT EXIST. Not sure what Ms. Blevins is trying to pull here, but she is seriously going for first place as champion cock tease. The possible kinky erotic scenes are all hints with a wink wink, nudge nudge and no follow through. Did I mention I neared got blue balls reading this story? The BDSM in here is very light with spankings and some erotic power exchange. The D/s between Ghost and Hailey is almost close to what I consider domestic discipline. Since that is one of my kinks, my voracious appetite for kink was mildly appeased.

Sex aside, this book felt more like a set up for the major show down in the other series that ties this universe together. This big show down of the supernaturals better be huge because it is being built it way high at this point. Why? Because the second half of the book really focuses on Hailey and what she becomes. It is a turn in the journey that I did not expect and I'm not sure if I like it. I mean, I like what Hailey becomes and the whole control thing doesn't go down to the level of details for Brianna in Careful what you ask for. I understand why Hailey had to go through what she did and all the threads are nicely tied back together. The focus off of Ghost to Hailey left me mixed because it felt as if Ghost became a bit marginalized. And perhaps that is what Ms. Blevins meant to do because Ghost certainly acted upon it in this manner. The past reveals and the conclusion left me a bit bereft. The planning for what happens after because of a change to one's abilities makes me a bit sad. I like this about Ms. Blevins' stories because it is rare that her characters will get their cake and eat it too. This is not to say there is not a happily ever after in this story. There is, because it is where she ended the story. This erotic paranormal romance is recommended to readers who enjoy a rich story with admirable characters even when you want to hate them. This story can be read as a standalone but it is not recommended in this manner. Read all the books in order to fully understand all the different characters and enjoy the nuances of their sometimes dysfunctional interactions.

To quote the vernacular, "I just can't EVEN!"...

Jam-packed. This book was jam-packed with a myriad twists and turns and what-ifs and 'holy s**ts', and all of that took place in a really great relationship story that evolved quite organically throughout all the mayhem and surprises.

Ghost and Hailey unfold, first as individuals within a complex relationship-slash-history, and then as a fully-realized couple, but their individuality remains a strong component of their very likeable core-selves, as well as with the characters they become. It is difficult to describe without giving details, but suffice it to say, never have two more under-my-personal-radar characters in a series, jumped to such favourites with such ongoing potential. Readers will love these two. There is a very beautiful, almost spirituality to parts of the characters and their "ways" that is a both touching, and fantastic addition to this world.

But a side benefit for me, as always in this series, are the glimpses into some of the *super* supernaturals in the story. Touches of their pasts may be coming to roost soon, and glimpses of their futures are bittersweet. This book ups the vibrancy of the world in general, exponentially.

Ghost and Bailey's experiences will take a reader many places, some of which they may not want to go, but stay the course. Its so worth the journey. And it makes whatever comes next, possibilities worth waiting for.

I always wonder with this series if I am going to get pushed too far. Stepbrother stuff is not my bag. At all. Also, I tend to think that when an author choose to write it combined with the the motorcycle club stuff, they are just looking for a pay day and not also to write a good book.

I am pleased to support someone's payday but not a bad book.

I read this despite my not loving BDSM and hate of Stepbrother romance.

And as always Blevins wrote a hell of a good book. Things get really dark with the topping but I am able to hang in there for that when it is paranormal in ways I just couldn't in contemporary romance.

The heroine is fine with where she is at as the book opens but I am really not. It is one of my reservations about the book. I get that she has lots of grief and is likely in a depression over what she is has lost (but the writer doesn't really detail this fully) but I can not believe as resourceful and self sufficient as this heroine is that she didn't create different options for herself. I never buy it and think the opening of the book isn't needed.

The rest of the book is crazy awesome sauce. The age gap and the the years apart take the eww at of the stepbrother thing and then the plot just takes off like a runaway train.

Great world building, steadfast hero, admirable heroine, sweet super hot romance, wonderful series plot arc, all sorts of surprises and action.

Just so very very good. All the little details, cast of characters, and character development add up to a wonderful tale.

This is a long lush never stop book that gives a great Happily Ever After coming out of a dark tunnel into the light.

Terrific Paranormal And MC Romance

Ok this is book nine in The Rolling Thunder Series and there are various kinds of shifters plus a few vampires in the story and there is BDSM and butt stuff. Great story and there is a very good HEA. I am really happy with this series

This book has so much going on at times I felt I needed to re-read something because I couldn't believe what I read the first time. Ghost's father had married Hailey’s mother when he was eleven and she was eight then the day after he graduated high school Darnell took his son and left Hailey and Aggie behind, that was six years ago and they just ran into one another for the first time and let me tell you was that a shock and a half for both of them. Hailey is a strong female that had to do what she had to do in order to survive, she doesn't regret her choices but at times she is embarrassed about them. Ghost (aka Dare) was always a mysterious person in the other RTMC books, he was around in the background and doing things that needed to be done but we never really got to know him until now, and WOW there is a lot going on with him. Likeable, loveable, thoughtful, considerate, kind are a few of words you wouldn't associate with a bad boy biker but that is exactly what Dare is.

I don't want to give to much away but I have to say that, just when you think the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club has all types of supernaturals as brothers and sisters of the club Candace Blevins goes and throws in a hybrid! Yep! a paranormal super-being that you have never seen before and oh boy the hoops you have to jump through to get the Concilio to allow you to go on and be a part of society, it's crazy!

The last third of the book had me wondering a lot of things, first and foremost will there be a time where we see these characters down the line when they are suppose to be old and gray but need to start over in a new place because certain paranormal species do not age and live for a very, very long time.

This was a great addition to the series and if you have read any of Candace Blevins's books you know the sex is HAWT, although it's not as plentiful in this book, the story was a good one that will keep your attention and to tell you the truth I didn't miss the overabundance of sex because the story was so engrossing I hadn't even realized it until I finished the entire book.

This one seemed a bit over the top for me. I’m not a big fan of step siblings having a romance. This one helped in that they were siblings for a few years, then hadn’t seen each other for 6 years. Sure both were attracted to each other back then, but Ghost was smart enough to not do anything. Although the whole spanking issue when they were kids seemed off to me. Another issue I had was how Hailey was working out at the whore hotel, Ghost sees her and then she is his. I get Hailey working there, she was doing what she needed to to survive. I get Ghost taking her away and helping her get her life together. Where it goes off for me is how quickly they jumped into a relationship. But maybe that is just me.

My other issue with this book is that so much happened to and around Hailey. It was more than enough for 2 or 3 characters. First we have the saving of Hailey, then trying to fix her hand, then the gang war heats up and the women are targeted, hurting and killing them, then Hailey is part vampire, part snake, has hell trying to get back to normal, then she and Ghost bond and the two of them are part vampire, part snake and part wolf, then issues with Hailey’s people causing the MC to kill a lot of people, then Hailey making music and becoming famous. So much for one couple that it almost seemed over kill, especially with the part of Hailey trying to come back from being part vampire and part snake. So much in this area that was a lot of nothing.

By the end of the book I was glad to be done with it, if only to give our characters a break from all the drama.

Wow i personally think that this is the BEST of the series.
I loved Bash - all 3 books and that was my favourite but this has taken it down a notch
Dare aka Ghost finds his step sister Hailey in the RTMC whore house and takes her to his house. From that moment, a love that started when they were kids blossoms into a once in a life time romance.
This has less kink than the other books, but i think it has more heart in it.
I adored these characters, their journey to love and their life together.
I dont want to give anything away, however this blows all other books out of the water.
If you have read other books by Candace, make sure this is on your to be read list! you will not regret it.

This is the latest installment in the Rolling Thunder Motorcycle Club (RTMC) which explores the story of Ghost who we have met in all the other books and Hailey who has history with Ghost but is not ready for him to stomp into her life and carry her away. At the heart of this story is love, bone deep abiding devotional love. I started this anticipating a great story but this one just became more, much more than I could have imagined. Characters from all her other series and previous books in this one make appearances or are mentioned, its like catching up with old friends. This story is an excellent addition to the RTMC series.

Not at all sure why I love this author and this series so much but I every time I think I can walk away from not buying the next book....I race off to buy the next book in the series.

This is probably the hardest review to write for this series so far. I really enjoyed where the story went, the terrible toll that having enemies can play and how different species can coexist within one human....

That said...the judgement of and use of the word "whore" was so appalling that I had a hard time with Ghost and Gen. Frankly, although Hailey is intertwined in so many ways with Ghost, I really, really don't see what she saw in him. He abandoned her once without looking back, judged her harshly when she found a way to make it on her own and then held her choices over her afterward at random times. And Gen...well, she is my least favorite character of all of them and she just never seems to redeem herself for long.

This book was long, propelled the storyline in a few different ways and was necessary but I would have liked Ghost to have been....more.... I don't know. Progressive? Enlightened? I think Hailey would have been better off with someone that was just a bit more secure with themselves and much less of a hypocrite.

I like the mix of strong women, brutal men and situations that just have to be dealt with that makes everyone stronger in different ways just makes this a great series.

Look at that cover!

The story of Hailey and Dare. I've never read a story quite like this one. No spoilers - but the supernatural twists and turns were unique.

I really liked what felt almost like a second chance romance.. without there actually being a romance the first time around as they were step-siblings. These are not perfect characters because that would be boring! The quirks and flaws make them unique and perfect for each other. The story is complex and simple at the same time. Tons of obstacles but it's simply a love story. The road to the HEA was a minefield but their love was deep and unquestionable.

Again no spoilers, but Dare's willingness to go to extremes to give Hailey her dream, changes so much, including Hailey. She lives and breathes this dream and it influences everything else, their relationship, their friends, their families. The story also explores the many different faces of prejudice. The layers and dual POVs keep me in tune with the emotions of the characters.

I also got what I expect from Candace's books, dominance and submission, some play and some kink. Characters from other books in this series and other series were a big part of this story.

Engaging, entertaining, fast-paced, well written, I could go on but read it and find out for yourself.

Definitely the best RTMC book yet. And that is definitely saying something! As usual, Candace creates complex characters with complex relationship entangling them with characters from previous RTMC and with those from some of her other series in other genres. You could read this as a stand-alone, but once you do you will want to go back and at least read the other RTMC books, as well as the “Chattanooga Supernaturals” and “Only Human” series. That’s a lot of books, but I recommend that you go for it!
As usual, you feel like these are real people, not cardboard stereotypes. Even though this has a very satisfactory HEA, I am left with a “but what happens next?” question because I want to continue to follow these characters for the rest of their lives. Of particular interest (avoiding a spoiler here!), I am curious as to how the protagonists’ children will turn out!
Certain scenes in this book are not for the faint of heart, although in context they are very appropriate. I don’t like being scared, but Candace does it so well! OK, I forgive her. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book, and considered it a privilege!

I wasn't aware that this book was part of a series, and I haven't read any of the other motorcycle club books. Having said that, it became quickly apparent there were many other stories behind these characters. You could just feel the various threads connecting the characters...but I can tell you that this also works as a standalone.
During the first chapter, I was concerned that it wasn't going to be one of my favorites. Wasn't feeling it. Then it completely sucked me in. So if you feel the same vibe initially....keep going. No spoilers...but the depth of the story was unexpected. Possibly it was because I hadn't read any of the other RTMC books, but I totally did not expect the directions that this couple traveled.
There were a few dark moments...and I had to close my eyes and hide behind a chair while I read those....but they didn't dominate the book or last very long. And I loved and adored Ghost. Truly, everyone deserves a Ghost of their very own. But life isn't fair, and unfortunately...we just have to make do with the yummy cover and his story. Really happy with the ending which is important to me.

The latest in the RTMC series brings us Ghost and Hailey, they used to be stepsiblings but haven’t seen each other for 6 years, when their parents divorced. Ghost gets the shock of his life when he finds out she is a working girl. This is just the beginning of a number of conflicts within the lives of these two.

Throughout the story we live through so many facets of what Hailey and Ghosts will live through, there are points that made me very sad, but also some that were full of joy. The characters of Ghost and Hailey are full of passion, full of love and courage. The storyline kept me glued to the pages, so much is imparted about the paranormal world that I could not wait to find out where the author was taking the characters next.

We know Ghost is a wolf but what about Hailey, well you will just have to read the story to find out if she is anything at all, but you might just find a surprise!

well ...Ghost is ... something !!! a work of art (for sure!!) and intriguing (you will be bound to it, like a good little sub !!) and captivating the most.

this books, is about our favorite group of lone wolves that love their bikes and brothers more than anything (until they meet their soulmate, then they squeeze them in with those two at the first place). and in this story you get an unexpected addition to make things interesting.
This is Ghost and Hailey's story that starts again after being step-siblings and then separated later. Ghost took it upon himself to take care of her and to see the feelings that once were forbidden were still there. Making the spark strong again and making it work, you would think that is where the story ends. Bud Candace just makes another knot, then another, and another .... and they keep leading you to the next page. and you get more than you paid for, believe me. and it never gets boring ... cringe-worthy but never boring.

You would think, after 10+ books on this matter, it would run cold and not interesting, but Candace keeps you on hook, and she has her ways !!!! oh believe me, she does.
if you read her books, you will see the underlined stories being developed, and each couple brings their the touch to the main story -and here it seems there is a storm brewing in the background. And as a big plus, you get glances at all our favorite characters and the development of their stories (even tough I was left in the dark for some info, but I'm sure that Candace will make this up to me!!! soon!!!)

But this one will leave you in hooked even deeper (believe me, I didn't think it was possible, but I'm living proof) and you will keep coming back for more. Just to give you an example, I'm gonna need therapy (personal phobias) to recover from this but I'm 100% sure I'll re-read it and others in expectations of the next book.

Ghost & Hailey

Ghost is a quiet, sneak anywhere kind of wolf. When recon is needed he's the go to guy & he's been quiet so far in the Series. Now he walks into the whore hotel & smells his step-sister then sees her with red hair, sports bra & mini-skirt & he freaks! She's Not Staying Here! Made sure everything was straight at the Hotel & took her to his house, where he had her shower & put better clothes on & fed her. Darius aka Ghost & his wolf have been in love with Hailey since his father married her mother. It wasn't his fault that his father ripped him away from them.

To repair an injury so she can play music again brings Bran into the scene. Bran is a vampire & drinking his blood shouldn't turn her but there's always the chance. From here everything goes to Hell, but I'll let you read it.

I enjoyed this story once it got going. But then maybe it was the characters & I missed it. LOL

I was completely unprepared for the ugly crying that happened to me in this book. Not just once, but a few times, the emotions Hailey and Ghost experience are overwhelming. While they make it through those moments, but I know this book is going to stick with my psyche for a while

That being said, this wasn't a doom and gloom story, this was about your life not being what it seemed, about your dreams not ending up like you thought they were, about you adjusting, changing, and keeping those you hold close even closer. Finding the one you didn't even realize you needed so badly, and doing anything to make their world right

Hailey and Ghost change so much from the beginning of the book until the end, yet, they don't. They are completely in love with each other, and that never changes. I loved that they always stayed true to each other, no matter what happened, no matter where things ended up, they were together, and will be, for the long run!

Oh my Candance girl you did it again! Ghost another great addition to the RTMC series.
A story full of business a lot of things going on, a jumble of chaos people and O.M.G. Ms. Blevins will always be one of my go to authors, I know I can get my addiction for paranormal, sassy, sexy alphaism fed through this awesome writer.

Can’t saw I like Ghost right off, I mean yeah he was good at what he did and was a valued brother of the MC. His personality kinda made me want to choke him at first, had to keep in mind, the mindset of the MC how they viewed and separated “their” women from “club” women. So yeah moving on.. *laughs* supply and demand.

So what do you do when you pop in the MC own hooker house and get a wiff of a familiar scent. Oh yeah the struggle is real folks. Hailey and Ghost don’t see eye to eye but need to come to an understanding in the middle of trying to remember all the reasons they can’t be together.

Nothing wrong with having MC at your back, loyalty strength family…even RMTC isn’t free from harm or hurt. Emotions run high and hard when lines are crossed so much so even the Vamp council shows their face.

Great read, great characters and some heat that had me fanning my face and squirming in my chair.

Grab it, read it, enjoy it I did. **I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

I am over half way through on this one, and its not one of my favorites... I understand the author goes where her muse takes her but.. Another spanking story? I also don't like the big vampire/snake mix - I don't know if I will be able to finish it.... Starts off Hailey is his sister - then step-sister and now lovers... Ghost's dad works for Aaron and he didn't know? thought they spent time together and were getting ready for another trip together and Ghost didn't know his dad worked right there? this one just isn't flowing well enough - the Amazon write up is very misleading....the only thing I will give the series in general - for the price $6 a book there are close to 500 pages - makes the price worth it. the one book for 87 pages I won't even consider.....she got lazy on that one...

Love the RTMC

I love these guys and Candace Blevins supernat world. I like this story and the interaction between Ghost and Hailey. They go through fire after fire after fire to get where they're going.

I really hate Bran though. He's a diuche of epic proportions, in my opinion. At first, I thought he was going to be helpful, but then, the thing happened. I thought how he handled certain things was a way overstep. I mean, I understand that discipline needed to be learned, but I don't think it should've been him. I wonder if Candace can redeem him to me.

Awful. If I wanted to read a book about how to train and abuse a brand new supernatural then this would be that book. There is little to no romance. The main characters are totally together and “in love” within the first 20% of the book. The rest is just about how many men can abuse (severely whipping or caning) the heroine to force her to learn control faster over her new abilities. Never mind that everyone keeps marveling about how ahead of schedule she is and is doing so great, blah blah blah. This isn’t a romance or even an MC book, it just stunk and became repetitive and boring.

these later books are more focused on the individual couple, the bdsm elements and the place the couple takes in the supernatural world. so much happens in this book and it sets the scene for more of what is to come in this brilliant series. great writing, great characters, great stories.

this book in particular had so much happening and keeps you on the edge of your seat. some rather sadistic action though

Ghost and Hailey unfold, first as individuals within a complex relationship-slash-history, and then as a fully-realized couple, but their individuality remains a strong component of their very likable core-selves, as well as with the characters they become. Readers will love these two. There is a very beautiful addition to this world.

This one felt like condensing an entire series in one book. Can't say I enjoyed it much, though. Everything felt rushed for the action and it lacked the details to make me feel the connection between Hailey and Ghost.
I also had trouble with the suspension of belief when it comes to the fact that she became a music sensation without anyone finding out about her past.

No spoiler.

HORRIBLY LONG.

If Bash could be three installments then Ghost should have been at least two. Ghost and Hailey needed separate books.

Just so long. And too much of ALL the characters.

So much.
