Over-educated and underpaid, Lexi would give anything to get a decent job, except have a baby for her playboy billionaire boss.
Lexi’s life was normal until she bumped into Braden, an unrepentant playboy from her past. He’s unchanged and wants more from her than she’s willing to give. She’s desperate for a job, but not desperate enough to like Braden, her new boss. But she’s unprepared for the power he has over her body, and she’ll do anything to get as far away from him as possible. Except she didn’t plan for a baby …
Braden regrets the way he treated Lexi in the past and wants to make up for it by giving her the job she so desperately needs. But he’s not totally selfless about his offer for her to be his personal assistant; he desires her more than he’s willing to admit and will do whatever it takes to keep her close to him and in his bed, even though she’s from a totally different world than him.
This is a full-length novel with no cliffhangers and a Happily Ever After ending!
PUBLISHER'S NOTE: Bonus! For a limited time, this edition of THE BILLIONAIRE'S BABY contains two extra romance novels!
Now this book was really very good. Hero sees heroine working as a cleaning lady and says really rude and disgusting things to her as he wants her to go to bed with him. She tells him go f*ck off and die. What? Some girl dare refuse the rich dick? But why am I not hot and awesome? Therefore, He goes on the quest to change his rough and raunchy lifestyle and manipulate the heroine into falling in love with him. It's was a good book but I wanted a little more drama. I know my bad here. Nothing is wrong with the book at all. It's really perfect. It's even hot at times. Just I wanted more stuff!!! What can I say I am a total drama queen and angst whore! (Don't judge me we all have our thing!)
Totally safe: No cheating, No OM/OW drama in fact no drama of any kind, he uses condoms and is safe and she is a virgin.
Zero star. And I'm wondering why I have 4 books of this author in my kindle. The constant pushing from the heroine was annoying, stupid and boring. She was a hypocrite bitch. And one who shits where she eats. I know this is fiction, and I almost always suspend belief when I read my romances. But I refuse to do it in this book. The heroine would never find another job in the same level she had with the hero.Specially because of the way she was employed in the 1st place. Not because she wasn't good at what she did, only because things are not so easy in the film industry.Anywho, this was a short book, zero development.too many useless descriptions. Her friends are terrible at advices. The hero here is one of the weakest. The heroine always left him at mid sentence. He did why the heroine wanted in matters of waiting the right time for a relationship. For all I care, the heroine should go back to being a house cleaner. She's a dumb, hypocrite bitch.
This and the included bonus books are all pretty generic romances. All are of much the same genre, girl meets billionaire gets pregnant and struggles to get the man but everything ends happily ever after. Fairly simplistic storylines with little of interest in them. Somewhat boring.
One-liner sentence: Don't say stupid and misogynistic things to women.
The title was very misleading, and there is no mention of the baby until the last 20 pages
Braden Huntington: a Hollywood production company CEO with a Playboy reputation. In the media he is portrayed as someone with a womanising and Playboy personality, although this is true at the start of the book after meeting Lexi and offending her he starts to realise that this role that he's playing is not doing him a disservice. After that short interaction with Lexi, he decided to clean up his image. But most importantly, he wanted to track down Lexi to apologise. He saw something in her and was intrigued so much so that he tracked her whereabouts and offered her a job. He only hopes that he'll be able to make amends and ask for forgiveness. But once he spends more time around Lexi, he's not only focused about seeking for forgiveness but instead he seeks out to have Lexi.
Lexi Montgomery: A dedicated and family orientated daughter, Lexi prioritises caring for her family and ensuring that they are secure. This is why she is extremely focused on finding a job so that she can be able to support her family, especially with her dad's MS health condition and her brothers hopes of becoming a sports athlete. Right now, the only stable job that she has is cleaning for rich people, but after one uncomfortable situation at Braden Huntington's Malibu house, she quits. As a recent graduate of Screenwriting at UC Berkeley, she only hopes that she'll be able to find a quick job within the production field, but this doesn't come easy. So when she receives a job prospect from Huntington Productions she leaps at the opportunity. However, upon completing her interview, she is shocked at who she has to work alongside with.
Will Lexi be able to put up with Braden and his scheming ways? Is she willing to give up her dream job, and is he really willing to change for her?
I commend Braden for his commitment to changing and recognising that he did wrong. But I think that he should realise this earlier instead of making unwanted comments to women and people around him. That was quite a lot of character development, but once he was rejected and Lexi did some employment changes I could see old parts of his obsessive nature coming back. That was quite a disappointment.
However, I do respect him being patient with Lexi as this was her first time.
Also, Lexi did a good job of being firm with her boundaries at the start, but this obviously didn't last which was quite sad to read read. I was so excited to see her being strict with Braden, but once he started to bring down her walls one by one, I could feel her literally folding. Which is why during the first intimate scene, I was screaming at my phone telling her to stop, because GIRL, didn't you say you weren't gonna let things get to this point?
And every time after it happened, she would always run away and say this is the last time. GIRL, build a backbone, fr.
Also, the ending was rushed. I kind of expected that pregnancy revealed to happen at a hospital because the whole situation with the paramedics being there the restaurant was way too quick..
And kind of ruined the moment. Would I read this book again? I don't know what I recommend it? I still don't know.
Favourite quotes:
Braden's sister, Adrianna to Braden “I have to meet her soon, seriously,” “I’m dying to meet the young lady who’s apparently changing my big playboy brother into a relationship guy.”
"The week passed smoothly as Lexi learned more and more every day and proved how smart and creative she truly was, which in turn made me fall for her harder."
"There was something hot about a man who drove stick-shift." Every time I read a book with a guy drives stick shift or manual, instant MARRY HIM
"I was falling in love with her, there was no doubt about it"
“Uh, Adrianna says she’s so sorry but she has to help her friend with something that came up suddenly, but she’ll see us tonight at my mom’s for dinner.”
"I didn’t want to end up wandering around, sleeping with different girls every night like they were playthings. More than ever, I wanted to marry Lexi Montgomery."
I feel cheated out of what was supposed to be a wonderful story! Sure, there was a HEA, and sure everything worked out, but I'm still sitting here going wtf? That's it?! That's all she wrote?! 😒 yup, disgruntled, I am!
The characters are sweet, they're charming in their own ways, and they have undeniable chemistry, but the story that was promised wasn't there, there... it just fell short of the finish line 😔
Braden Huntington is CEO of a lucrative company in the film industry, he sees Alexandra Montgomery bent over cleaning his house one day and makes a chauvinist remark or two towards her, Lexi won't stand to be treated that way and tells the playboy Billionaire off before walking out. Months later Braden seeks out Lexi with the help of a private investigator and offers her a job after realising she's trying to get into the very field he works in.
Lexi goes to work for Huntington and enjoys herself, despite the growing attraction to Braden. And on a trip to Brazil the two become intimate, when they return to the US they agree to keep things professional, even though Braden's attraction to Lexi has grown. In a moment of vulnerability Lexi ends up pregnant, does she tell him? What if he goes back to his old ways? Can they be happy together?
Anyway... like I said I feel cheated out of what was promising to be a decent story. Not going to bother with the bonus books, they'll probably all be the same 😔
This author writes like a juvenile. This is the 4th book I picked up this week by her and all her characters and plot is very juvenile! DNF'd at 1st chapter yet again!
Someone PLEASE help this writer! Publishers are you listening???
What got me to get the book was the plot. It was interesting...
but that was all there is to it.
I couldn't get into the book. Dual POV's but Braden's POV creeps me out. It's weird cause it doesn't sound like a man pointing things out, the phrases and words makes him sound like a whiny girl. Words such as "my media-best friend", "my real best friend", and "hottest actor" thing coming from Braden's POV.... ugh! It would fit a high school male hero, sure - but a successful CEO, not so much.
Also, TOO detailed writing. We could do without some words or paragraphs not significant to the plot.
Lexi and Braden met when she was working part-time as a domestic worker. Braden, a billionaire was flippant and thought he was God's gift to all women. He approached Lexi while she was cleaning his mansion with her friend and co-worker Clara. He made lewd comments and she read him the "Riot Act." Braden's mom and dad had divorced because he was a philanderer and promiscuous man. Braden wasn't really that like that deep down, but he started developing behavior like his dad. When he saw Clara working at his home he remembered how rude he had been to Lexi. He had also got a bad reputation from hanging out with the main star of his multi-million dollar production company, and the media tagged him as a playboy. A great read how he comes to his senses and how he winds up a dad.
Lexi needs a better job and Braden plans on giving her the opportunity of a lifetime. They met some time ago and he made an ass out of himself. Now all he can think about is her and he wants to show he has changed his ways. So he works up a scheme to give her a job working for him with the hopes that they can have a relationship. She gives into temptation but still tries to keep him at arms length. That is until she discovers she is pregnant. Of course there is a happy ending. This book also came with two extra bonus novels that also were good.
I don't like giving bad reviews but this book was horrible. I hated Lexi, she was a immature and frankly unforgiving woman. The entire book and I mean the entire book was of her going back in forth with how he made ONE demeaning comment and he was a womanizer and she couldn't trust him. It was ridiculous. The last 3-4 pages is the HEA. I was very disappointed with the ending. It was not a secret baby book. She got pregnant in the last two chapters of the book. I can't bring myself to even read the two bonus books by this author.
Seriously disappointed in this story. It was stilted and frankly boring. I found myself skimming it at times. Plus there was no secret baby! So not entirely sure how it can be called a secret baby romance. Brayden came off as desperate and whiny and Lexi was very 'holier than thou' and standoffish. I hate giving one star reviews but I genuinely couldn't find anything I liked in the story which I was shocked by because I've enjoyed some of Mia Carson's other books. Overall, a definite miss.

How do you go from strangers, to employees, then having sex twice, then all of a sudden they are in love, then they are apart, then becoming pregnant, and lastly a marriage proposal. The beginning took too long and so many things could have been cut out. If you are gonna make a super short story, emphasize on falling in love and their relationship, not on how they met and/or how they should be just boss/employee for more than half the book.
There are a few things to be said about this book. Where I liked the plot idea, I feel it could have been fleshed out more and not have a sudden ending.
I mean really? "I'm pregnant." "Marry me?" Have sex bam done.. That is a really crappy ending to a book.
Which is why I am not even giving this book a 1 star rating it was that crappy.

The Billionaire's Secret Baby was an interesting read. Our hero is obviously a billionaire and our heroine is an average joe so to speak. Lexi is the bread winner for her family (father and brother). She works hard and "magically" lands a job at Braden's company. There's a push pull love hate relationship between Lexi and Braden. I enjoyed the journey of Lexi and Braden falling in love.
I have to be honest . . . . . I couldn't read this. . . I pressed the button to buy this by mistake and said. . what the heck, why not....then when I started reading I said. . .well never mind what I said. . Just save your money
Not as entertaining 3 short stories that were rushed. Not enough excitement. I had to skip over pages and still knew what was going on after I skipped over them. If you want to purchase then do it if you don't mind skipping over pages.
I love when a story has a happy ending, but I also love is when a story is well written. I didn't think that I would have like this book that much but I do.
I like the story and the bonus books but every single one I wanted a epilogue to know what happen months later or years. But other than that they were good romance books.
