An Elegant tale and haunting Ghost Story from the author Raymond Walker, writer of "The Secret Inside", "The River Girl's Torment" and many other books, short stories and novella's.
In this case Mr Walker's gaze is drawn to the romantic ghostly tale. A writer returns to a small seaside town to fulfill a promise made at an earlier event. All goes wrong, the wicked Scottish weather intervenes, the winter season, a lack of sales, the loss of his lover, too little sleep and depression has taken hold.
This becomes the setting for the strangest ghost story that I have ever read, terrifying at times and (yes) heartwarming at others, this is a miraculous novel that defies all my thoughts on life after death and the supernatural.
The author, "Mr Walker" states that this novel is based upon true events and that he did attend a book signing at that time.
Raymond Walker Is the award winning author of Sixteen novels, many compendiums of short stories and two books of poetry (though he hates to admit to them). He is a guitar player, songwriter, father (of two cool kids), an occasional philosopher, political thinker, aesthete and imagine-er of the ethereal and unusual. An all round good guy (or so he tells me), perhaps he forgets that I have read his books.
He was born in 1962 and raised in Argyll, Scotland, before moving to Edinburgh to attend university. His love of the countryside, forests, mountains and the relics of his native Scotland are reflected deeply in his writing. His tales echo the dark past and history, the unknown places and wonders of Scotland at the point where reality dips into fantasy until nothing is quite as it seems. Married for the second time He lives in Prestwick, Ayrshire with his beautiful wife, his inflated ego and his man shed. Not one to be pigeon-holed his books range from Romances and Ghost stories to Historical fiction and fantasy. The winner of several writing competitions, his books have received critical acclaim worldwide.
"Trow", Hiding From The Light" and "Beastie" have been his most recent offering's. Soon to come will be the novels, "The Fisherman's Lament" and Baranguiel"

(not a review just a statement) This novel will not be released until September, I simply added it for pre-release purposes. It is, in style, a modern version of the Gothic ghost story that I am sure many will love. I hope you like it once out there.
