The complete series. Five standalone books. No cliffhangers! HAMMER Rachel might be beautiful, but she’s untouchable – mostly because she hates my guts. God help me, but Rachel is entirely unbearable. The suburban princess looks down on me and mine, including her own brother, and always has. She could never accept Terry for who he was – never wanted to step foot in our world. And if I have anything to say about it, she never will. There’s no place here for a nine-to-fiver who wears little flowered dresses in our bars – no matter how sexy she looks. Especially if she doesn’t look twice at me, she has no understanding of loyalty, of brotherhood, of all the things that make us Wolves a family. Because she’s so narrow-minded, she will never discover the truth about her brother’s death. But I will. That is if I can keep the gorgeous, stuck-up woman off my back. GATOR I’m a biker and an outlaw who’s been around the block a few times. So, I guess you could say I have a lot of skeletons in my closet… And, now, I got a dead body there too, and a ghost from my past investigating it. Detective J.T. Knowles and I used to be an “item” back in the day, but we haven’t seen each other in over a decade. But, now that a dead junkie turned up on her watch, and I’ve been linked to the crime, she’s back in my life, and if I play my cards right, I might be back in the game…Now, isn’t that a happy coincidence? BUTCHER My plate is pretty full. I’m a biker and a musician. I have a 9-to-5 job, many friends and associates, and a busy “home life.” The last thing I need is any more complications or unnecessary attention. But, unfortunately, that’s just what I got… Until now, I’ve managed to keep my identity and personal life a secret, but some snarky reporter recently caught wind of my music and started writing about it. And now, I’ve got fans and groupies coming at me from all angles, including one who just might get more than she’s after… HANNAH Of all the bars in L.A., he had to walk into mine… No joke. On my way home from an appointment, I stopped for a drink, and lo and behold, a tall, dark, handsome stranger walked in—looking for me. And, the reason he was looking for me was the shock of a lifetime—and so was everything else that happened from the moment I met him. Nico Simms might be a “professional” and think he knows my story, but he’s got another thing coming to him if he thinks he’s gonna be the one behind the wheel on this ride. CRETE Most men consider themselves blessed if they find one “great love” over the course of their lifetime. I, however, am not most men, and I didn’t find one great love, but two—and, even though that may sound good, trust me, it’s not. In the long run, falling for two women was more a curse than a blessing, and I should know about curses and blessings, given my experience and profession as a reverend. But I’m not just a reverend. I’m also a gang boss. I’m the leader of a biker gang called the Wolves, and it was through my affiliation with them that I came to be in a very delicate position where both of those loves were put on the line, alongside my faith in myself, my life, and the future of our entire outlaw organization.
This series is quite imaginative. But the lack of editing really shows and a lot of the story lines are so farfetched as to be beyond belief. The final book in this set 'Crete', made me want to throw my kindle against a wall.
I wasn't going to finish this boxed set, but I ended up reading to the end and feel quiet disappointed. Apart from a lack of editing I felt each book finished and left you waiting for more. Some of the stories were a little bit far fetched. I thought it had a great story line the fight against drugs. It definitely didn't flow, there was talk of previous characters but that could have been elaborated more. Don't think I would read another book by this author
I was very pleased with the plot and stories. The first three books held my attention well but then I begun to notice the typing errors and mis spelled words. The last book felt forced and imo wasn't as well written as the ones before. Between the last book and the word mistakes I can only give it a rating of three.
Such a personal and riveting tale of each of the main characters and their struggles for justice in an unjust area of the world! While each got their hea I love an ending with more of their hea.
This series was an editing nightmare horrible spelling, all rules of grammar completely out the window most third graders are more capable on the upside the characters we're well developed and the storyline was interesting. Maybe practice will help our author.
4 Star Kindle Unlimited Read I got this for the material that is different than the I individuals. Glad I did. As much as I like the books as singles the box set makes them so much better!
I normally don't rate the boxed set but there wasn't a separate book review for book 5 cretes story so I'm going to rate it as a whole. cretes story was a bit disappointing. it told us about his life and it was pretty wah wah wah. I dont like how Katy just miraculously showed up at the right time and how his feelings were with carrie before Katy even went missing. it was really disappointing to me. I would give book five 2 stars in the ratings. as far as the whole set it was disappointing that there were no epilogues. even if there was one for the entire series. a lot of newcomers were added to the gang and after their stories we didn't hear anything about them. I wasnt real impressed with this series. First time author for me. might give her another try in the future but not right now.
Riding with Wolves has some good plots but overall I was left with more questions. Each book didn't seem as if it was written by the same author because the styles were different. While I know some write to where they can say a book is a standalone read but in this case, there was nothing to complete the plot to say it was standalone yet it never rolled over into the other books. My biggest disappointment was Crete's story. So while I like the concept of the series; expect for each book to end abruptly, no answers on to what happens with any of the couples in the end, and some far fetched scenarios that even in fiction couldn't have happened. Enjoy it for what it is. A MC set.
Unfortunately I can't start a series and not finished it, so finish it I did. Throughout the who series there were editing mistakes, words spelt incorrectly, words typed together with no spacing and words missing in sentences. Whoever did the editing needs to find another job.
As far as MC/gang stories go, this was horrible. Each member had no faith or trust in each other, the author made Gator sound like an idiot which made his story the worst one. As for Crete, a man of God with no morals, trusting an alcoholic friend/minister who also he no morals. Enough time wasted on this one. Sorry by that's my honest opinion.
All the stories were "good", not great. The spelling errors, extra words in sentences or missing words from sentences really made this series difficult to read. These books really should have gone through some editing process. Hannah was my favorite book. Hammer started so slow and boring I wasn't sure I was going to finish it, but when the minister enters Sam's hospital room, the book finally got good. Long time to wait there. I like that she ended the series with Crete which was an interesting story.
The story was good. But have you ever seen one of those paragraphs that's a mix of letters and numbers. If you can read this your mind is amazing blah blah blah. Well there's so many typos in these books it almost feels lik he reading one of those paragraphs.
This is a good series some books better than others but you do need to read them all to be able to follow the whole story. There is definitely a twist in the tale that does not come out until the final book Crete's story, some of the stories end a little ambiguously and you have to draw your own conclusions to what happens next but on the whole a good series to read.
I bought the boxed set and started reading right away. I enjoyed the beginning of each book, but by the end I was left feeling unfulfilled and confused. I honestly thought that Crete's book was going to fill in the blanks for me but that was not the case. I hope that maybe there will be another book to offer closure, at least some closure for me.
On gave this book 4* because the storyline was imaginative and very interesting. That said I felt vaguely disappointed in the end. I felt an emotional let down. There was no tying up of the other couples and no direction as to where they went from that point on. I feel like the story needed at least another chapter or 2 to conclude and male some kind of sense.
These books were each thoughtfully written. Full range of human emotions. The good, the bad, and the ugly, but also the joy, happiness, and contrition. Renewal of the soul, the body, the spirit. As a full box set,bit shines!!!
Average individual tales collected to create a single novel of substance told with every thread of a story followed up on with enough substance at the end to leave you wanting more.
Storyline above average in first story, but it fell from there. It became more difficult to read as each book was started. Would have benefitted greatly from editing.
Good books, I like how the stories intertwined. The basic stories are sound although some of it all seems a little unrealistic. Needs some serious editing.
A series of storied about key members of the club that include the loves of the is lives. Their struggles and trials make stronger bonds in the end. This was a great read!
