Broken Snow

Rate this book
Money hunters. That’s what they call them. A bunch of underground vigilantes sweeping the area for anyone out of curfew or breaking the law.

Mel Morris, a snow leopard and self-proclaimed recluse, finds herself in more trouble than she can imagine. All she was doing was heading to town for supplies ... but ... catching the eye of one of the money hunters' spotters, Mel walks into a danger that she didn't realise had been following her all along.

There’s a secret, though. These money hunters aren’t just looking for criminals … they were looking for her. A shifter caught in a race, and she is the prize.

My name is Mason Sabre. I have been writing since I was a small child and discovered I could have a million adventures at the stroke of my pencil (I wasn't allowed to use pen back then). I have written more stories than I could even publish, some of them I wouldn't ever put out, but I have had a blast writing them. I love writing, I love reading. I love to have a fictional adventure. When I am not doing that I am with my children or studying. I have a lifelong love of learning too.

I live in the North of England. It's a little chilly here and a little wet, but it is what I call home and where pretty much all of my stories are based.

GOODNESS!!!
I say this all the time, but...this story was FANTASTIC!! Mel was a heroine that was not only strong but vulnerable at the same time. And Nigel!! He had me wondering what was his story. I absolutely love these fan novellas! With each one, we are getting more glimpses into the Society world. Each can be read as a stand alone, but are very much a part of the Society Series. I'm beyond ready for the next one!! Yes, I'm greedy!!

It's punchy and warning violence that may may contain distressing material to the reader.

I really didn't like some of these characters. even after reading the whole story I still felt off about the characters. Not a reflection of the authors writing. Well ok maybe it is because some of these characters you just really think they are big douce heads who need a lesson in manners and a taste of their own medicine. And as this author in my opinion has the knack for writing like a movie running in your head as you read, from character, scene and emotional descriptions you really do feel for them when they hurt.

Was just so frustrating (again not a negative toward the authors writing ability) that these damn characters and some of the stuff they do makes you livid.

Anyone or anything that makes you feel that much while reading their story surely must be great right?

Wow, this book is amazing! It actually has my heart pounding now, and all I can think is that I want MORE!!

What an awesome story! Completely different from his other Society books, but still the same world, we get to see a little of Exile in this book. Mel is an amazing, strong, independent female character, which I love to see. Nigel is a bit mysterious, and you just don't quite know what to think about him until the end.

Every one of these stories are better than the last, and just keep you hungry for the next one. It doesn't matter how fast he writes, with stories this good, it's never fast enough! I don't even have to read the book description anymore, if it's written by Mason Sabre, it's an automatic one click for me!!

I am loving all these fan novellas, Mason has done a superb job of joining them all up to The Society Series that you would never know they are add on's, they can be read as a standalone or along with the series.
This book, as with all Mason's books are very well thought out and plotted, it is well written and grabs you from the off.
I loved Mel, she is strong, sassy and Independant, Nigel, well i wasn't to sure about him at first but he does redeem himself, and Zander well!!! you will just have to read the story for yourself.
This is definitely not to be missed.
I wonder what is in store for us next, Can't wait to find out.
Another wonderful book Mr Sabre :)

Really?

Really Mason? Really. How do you do this? You are a literary genius. The ideas that flow through your head amaze me. This book had a fascinating storyline just like the rest of your books do. I love how they all tie into the society series yet can be read as a stand alone. However you left me with cliffhangers of multiple proportions. Xander? I hated him! You worked your word magic though yet again. You have to read this....have to!

Darn that was a freaking amazing book. My heart ❤️ is pounding right now. I'm so glad Nigel and Mel got away. And my heart just broke for Xander. I just started loving him after I knew his story. Right now all I want is MORE!!!!

How is it possible for everyone of these these books being amazing. ''Tis book is completely different from the other books but still in this amazing world. Now we're getting a taste of what is means to in in Exile. Mel's character is strong, sassy and independent. I'm so loving her. Know Nigel was different, mysterious and I absolutely feel hard for him. These two two strong characters belong together. I just hope Xander is in the next book. I grew to love him. Don't remember who said it but any time I see Mason Sabre books I'm not reading descriptions I'm just reading the book.

Another amazing read from Mason Sabre! With Broken Snow I wasn’t sure what to expect... but once I started I couldn’t stop. An offshoot from the original series yet an equally vital part of the storyline. I hope to hear more from Mel and Nigel’s story. Incredible... had me gripped I couldn’t put the book down. I love this series!~Angie❤️

Amazing Broken Snow! What a fantastic read. Wow. Just Wow. Mason Sabre did it again. He kept me on the edge from first page to the last, and I loved it. I cheered for Mel and Nigel from the very beginning. Both snow leopard shifters, and two very, very interesting characters. With each installment in the series, we are getting more and more glimpses into the Society. Shifters, vampires, witches, Fae. Now this: the Blight Tale – the legend of the keeper of separated perfect souls…

Once again Mason Sabre has outdone himself with his newest edition to The Society Series, Broken Snow. Love the characters Mel and Nigel. Mel is such an independent fierce female lead and Nigel, well I’ll admit I didn’t like him too much at first, but he did win me over in the end. He really is a good guy. I can’t wait to see more of these two in the future! The drama, sexual tension and mystery of why these two were brought together had me burning through the pages on my Kindle.

Mason is able to hook you right into the story from the first page. His imagination is limitless and just so full of creativity. He makes you believe in these other worlds and their inhabitants. My nerves are frayed as I want to know how the rest of the series is going to play out with all of these wonderful characters. I look forward to the next installment of this fantastic series.

It'll keep you on the edge...
Great story between Nigel and Mel. There's so much happening with Mel...you sense a definite feeling of foreboding or tension throughout with regards to Mel. I spent much of the book feeling like she was in danger, or had some sort of disadvantage. All this just makes you want to read as fast as you can (clearly life got in my way of reading, and this was the longest read of a novella LOL). It should be a quick read.

You just need to read this to see all the happenings or situation Mel seems to get herself into, right from the start of the book. Mel is a great strong female character that stands her ground.

This is a standalone, and I seem to be reading the series all out of order by reading 1, 4, and 5..smh

Mel Morris is a snow leopard shifter who has spent the past few years of her life living in Exile. She live alone, self-sufficiently, on a mountain, earning her money as a graphic designer. When a deluge hits her mountain, it sets into motion of series of events that may cost her her life. Who can she trust, when she has taught herself to trust no one. Finally finding a possible way out of her dilemma, she needs to place her trust in a male snow leopard shifter, to whom she is very attracted, and a Fae male whom she cannot understand. What will she choose to do?

I love how the story unfolds and I love how the author portrays Mel's inner thoughts. I was left wondering at the end what comes next, but I know this is a series and hope to get my answer in future stories. Well done, Mason!

Just when I think I've found a favorite book by this author, he comes out with another that blows my mind.

Mel lives the quiet life, but due to unforeseen circumstances, she is thrust into an existence where she has to fight for her life to survive. Nigel is her keeper and trainer, but unknown to Mel, he wants to be more.

I loved this story. Poor Mel went through so much the entire story, but she never lost the fire in her soul despite being beaten mentally and physically. The book was action packed and I never saw a few things coming in regards to certain characters. The ending was heart wrenching , but the journey was well worth the torture. Five stars!

Wow, this was amazing. I have read several books in the series and so far I think this is my favorite. Mel and Nigel are amazing together, this has unexpected twists and when you think you have the characters down, they will surprise you. No spoilers here, it was a read the kept me on the seat of my chair for a while anticipating what would happen next. I am waiting for the next book to continue on the journey! This is definitely a MUST read!

Each one of these additional stories that come out with new characters leave me needing more, in a wonderful way. Nigel and Snow are no different yet still very unique. A tale that will have you feverishly turning the pages but also wanting you to savour every word and detail. This author brings a writing style that has you in the belly of the story, fighting right along with the characters. I am a one click addict when it comes to the next release.

This is truly a great book. With every new one that gets added to the Society Series I find myself more addicted to this world that Mason has created. I love how all the stories and characters tie in together and am hoping I will get to see happy endings for at least some of them if not all. I highly recommend this series. The next book can't come soon enough!

An amazing shifter romance novel about Snow Leopards, greed, violence and an old tale from the past. I really think that Mr. Sabre should make a sequel to this one. A must read for anyone who loves paranormal.

3.5 out of 5

This says it's book 5 in the series but according to the author's website it's a side story. I wish I had known that when I started, because I would have skipped it and read it later. Not a bad story at all, but it didn't feel finished to me.
