Amy

Dom’s strong hands once held me close – now they hold me captive.

A couple years ago, it would have been a huge turn-on if Dominic had overpowered me, tossed me easily over his enormous shoulder, and handcuffed me with that fierce, determined look in his eye.

Now, though, it’s not sexy or kinky. It’s just terrifying.

Ever since the bastard cheated on me with Emily, my twin sister, it hurts just to think of his name. And ever since he was named the prime suspect in her murder, it’s been worse.

And now he’s kidnapped me in broad daylight, demanding that I trust him? Yeah…I don’t think so.

Dom can flash his gorgeous hazel eyes and flex his huge, strong arms all he wants – I’m not about to go down without a fight.

Dominic

Years ago I broke her heart… Now I have to save her life.

My blood runs cold whenever I think of the last texts Emily sent me – “I think someone’s following her,” she wrote, minutes before being killed. “Dom, we might have brought our trouble home.”

She meant Amy.

Someone’s following Amy – because of me.

Amy, the beautiful woman I never stopped loving. Amy, who saw something she shouldn’t have and lost all trust and faith in me. But hey…maybe she was right to. I’m obviously dangerous to be around, and I’ll be the first to admit I’m an asshole.

Well, she might not want me around, but I have to protect the woman I love – by whatever means necessary.

Entertaining but nothing special some of the story seems dragged out then other bits seem rushed. There is an ongoing story within this series about Megan the owner of Dragon security which has seemed to get complicated in this the third installment of the series, I want to know how this plays out and if her missing fiancé is undercover cia or just a bad guy. In the meantime I'm guessing that all the guys in dragon security are going to be meeting up with the woman who they will marry.

Wow! These characters and the Steaming Hot Mysteries just get better the more I read😍
A little more of the mystery is uncovered, although the weaved web only seems to get more tangled.
Dominic & Amy lost years to a misunderstanding and finally got their HEA❤
Definitely read this series in order and definitely get ready to be drawn in and kept there until the very end!

DNF

In the summary the H says the heroine is the woman he never stopped loving. But with the way he comes off, I call bullshit. He seems to barely tolerate the heroine...

There's no angst. Even in his thoughts, there isn't any angst...this woman he loves has been out of his life for years! Years! And he doesn't seem to feel any damn thing. He doesn't seem all that concerned with her well being ( iirc, he 'kidnaps' her, barely speaks to bet, and then he says something like if you wanna leave, leave).

Also there's a sex scene way way to early in this book. It just made no sense to me, why the heroine hadn't moved on from this douche.

Now in the name of full disclosure, I should mention I didnt read book 1 or 2, and in Dominic, bk 3, we're dumped right into the action, with no build up and no backstory. Maybe if I had at least skimmed those first two books I'd be able to get further in the book, but I doubt it. The H treats the heroine almost like a stranger, giving more affection/regard towards every other female character he comes into contact with... So no, I'm not reading any more of what looks like is going to be a loong exercise in anger and frustration.

That moment when you read over reviews and realize the 5 stars went to the wrong book in a series. Such as the case with this read.

So why did it go from a 5 to a 2.

1. Dominic isn't a dark and brooding type, he's a bully.
2. IMO Amy is TSTL - harsh? Probably. But anyone who puts up with Dom's BS after everything they've been through needs a clinical assessment.
3. And this is the kicker. I'm too caught up in Hayden & Sam's will they, or won't they. Then there's the Luke, Megan & Dante quandry. It's hard to focus on the leads when the characters on the peripheral have better storylines.

Good read

This is another good book in the Dragon series, this whole series is full of intrigue and mystery. This is Dominic and Amy's story which is really interesting in itself but there is a underlying plot common to the whole series and this is getting more complex and mysterious as each book concludes. Looking forward to the next book.

Ended too soon

The story line was quick, fast paced but left you with too many questions at the end. Dante being g the biggest question, who is he really, why did he kill the assassin, etc. I had already bought the other 3 books included so that was a bummer.

Really enjoyable read with romance, suspense, and action! Ms. Sinclair knows how to spin a great story. Dominic was sexy and patient with the often annoying Amy.
