Nike, the fourth princess of the Rain Dukedom and one who holds the power to call forth the rain, travels to the Sun Kingdom to marry Sun King Livius for her country, despite her own reluctance. She soon discovers that the King, who conquered the world in only three years after his ascendance to the throne, is still a child!! Furthermore, for trivial reasons, he has demanded that Nike call forth the rain…!?
Shiina won the 34th Hakusensha Athena rookie debut grand prize in 2009 for her work "Maria-kun of wonder." and is currently working on the series "The world is still beautiful"(in 2013).
Me esta gustando cada vez mas la historia... Este Rey tiene mucho carácter y me encanto ese lado oscuro pero me vuelvo loca al acordarme que es un niño... :(
In this volume Nike has to prove she can bring the light back to the sun kingdom by going through a religious ceremony. We are getting to know the Sun Kingdom a bit more here. I really enjoy the art work and the story.
This arc is my favorite, and this isn't only nostagia talking I just loved the medival theme before mangas and animes got saturated like it is now. I just wanted them to spent time at the castle and lean on the political aspect of it for a bit longer, alongside the princess training thing. (I am obviously writing these reviews after reading all 25 volumes but lets pretend for now) I loved how she could bring so much freshness to their society.
