This volume wraps up the first arc of Rumble. It's mainly one huge Battle Royale with all of the inventive creatures out of James Harren's head. Not quite as good as the two previous volumes. Looking forward to see what David Rubin's version of the book looks like in the new arc being published currently.

With so many great series Image comics has like Nailbiter, Descender, Saga, Lazarus, Birthright (and some others, Image comics is awesome) it's easy to overlook Rumble (I nearly did) especially since initially looks weird and silly but it's no less deserving of 5 stars than any mentioned above. Good storyline, well developed characters and great illustrations make this one of my top series right now.

And so the first arc of Rumble ends here. The unpredictable ending is done in such a way the series could be stopped here. Unpredictable because it doesn't.

This book goes boom big time, no holds barred. Explosive action, fun scenes and dialogues to release tension and even a very emotional issue between Bobby and his mother. All's there.

Arcudi steadily maintains the pace throughout and managed to surprise me more than once. My only complaint would be Timmah's new role that unconvincingly comes out of left field. But apart from that it's all good, James Harren again at peak form to design ugly monsters and super freaks!

Rumble is a very good urban fantasy series, fun, full of intense action, with cool characters and brilliantly pencilled and colored.

Don't waste more time and go get it!

Honestly, I lost track of what was going at the end and to whom and why, a little. But it was all still pretty exciting.

Final del primer arco argumental totalmente bombástico. Acción y emoción a raudales con un gran toque amargo en el desenlace.

If this isn't Dave Stewart's favourite book to colour right now, I'll be an Esu's Uncle.

A third volume of technicolour demon-slaying absurdity down, and the heartfelt joy that everyone involved with putting Rumble together must feel is evident in every panel on every page. It seems hard to find a book on Image even skirting mediocrity at the moment, and Rumble sits up there with the best of the formidable library, even if its praises haven't been sung nearly as much or as loudly as they should be. Few books can lay claim to blending limb-rending violence with such charm and aplomb but Harren's magical character design and kinetic action continue to hammer home Arcudi's wonderful mordern mythologizing and the plight of the rag-tag bunch of humans who are caught up in the maelstrom. In this volume, a previous player of note is reintroduced and they remind us exactly what we were missing while they were gone. Did I mention how magical Harren's character design was? I did? Good. It bears repetition, much like a certain pyromaniacal esu does.

Mucha, muchísima acción en este tomo de Rumble. Flujo de lectura en las escenas de acción increíble. La deformación de los personajes acompaña los movimientos de las escenas, haciéndolo todo aún más dinámico.

Y VAYA FINAL 😶

What could be a simple story is greatly enlivened and deepened by varying human characters and factions of monsters, in a series which takes time to examine its characters in between the incredible action scenes, all of which is perfectly communicated in Harren's weird, expressive, and dynamic art.

Of the writers involved with Hellboy, I have always favored John Arcudi over Mike Mignola given their other work. This seems to prove the point even more, and the Harren's demonic designs and the insane color palette keep me interested. Furthermore, this is one of the few comics where the characters actually be consistently become less and less cliche and more developed over time. The pacing is good, where one gets a nice mix of character development and action. The factions get more and more complicated and characters that seemed clearly villains in the beginning become more sympathetic as the comic continues.

Highly entertaining! I really enjoy this series, I think I've said this before but it reminds me alot of Big Trouble in Little China even though the story lines are alot different, but still fun in the same way. I'm looking forward to more.

I'm really happy there is a volume 4 after this because Dan was that a good cliffhanger...But it looks like it was almost the end of the series?! Things got crazy here and there were a lot of surprises. Most of them would be spoiler territory. Just really, this is a fun series and I'm looking forward to more.

Kudos to the author for not resolving the cliff hanger how I thought he would. This series is a surprise at every turn, and is truly unpredictable. It doesn't get any better than this.

The author invents another big batch of names to make the backstories difficult to follow, but again I'll just ignore that. The story builds up to an epic battle where pretty much every named character has a part to play. Sadly, I've lost interest in the series.

Bobby's mother seems fully recovered, but then simply says goodbye and dies. Timah, a girl Bobby is interested in and a social worker at the hospital, used magic to help Bobby's mother's soul. She is from a long line of mystics, but she doesn't have a lot of experience.

Asura first intends to destroy the body of his enemy, but the reconsiders and plans to recover the heart to become as strong as a god.

Rumble is a well drawn and somewhat well written books. It’s got visuals that are really well done and the inking is awesome.

Though the characters are meager;y developed but enough so to keep me reading, and this volume wraps the first arc.

I don’t have much to say but it’s an interesting comic about learning to adjust your expectations and that we all have to do what we don’t want to.

That makes it worth a read for me, I just wish the characters were more developed.

3 stars.

Good, but not a continued upwards trajectory from Vol. 2. Instead, Vol. 3 feels a little distracted, or a little fractured--I love the multiple-character-protagonist angle, however, it felt like so many different characters were getting a motivation spotlight that the thread of the story struggled to keep up and keep focused. Art still great, gonna miss Harren moving forward.

I enjoyed Volume three, even though it wasn't always as compelling as the first two. Didn't like the Timah-is-a-necromancer subplot. Some other weak areas as well. Nonetheless, Rumble remains a delight to read and I'll be eagerly following the next issues.

No hi sento cap mena d'empatia, no m'interessen.

Art that I couldn't dream up in a million years, even with silos of psychedelic chocolate bars. This volume is like battle of the bands, meets the Titans, meets Marley and me. You'll figure it out. Over the top and fast paced. Suggested for late night time travel.

More of the same: Excellent work! The only bummer is that now I have to wait until volume 4, which could take years.

The continuation of the great story of a god that most his body and sword and finds a group of people that help him fight the forces that took that away. Just awesome.
