WOW.....What an amazing story. So much happened and it took me a while to put my thoughts together to write this review.
Oh, Angelo!! What have you done?!?!?!?! I am so shocked by this book and I am so stunned......You will have to read the book because I will say no more.
The characters were remarkable. I loved how the author allowed us to know what was going on with the POV of Angelo and Bobby. I felt a real connection with these two characters and was constantly on the edge of my seat to find out what was to happen to that character next.
The story-line was phenomenal. The things that happened in this was so gut wrenching and shocking. I never knew what was going to happen next. So many twists and turns kept me turning pages to read more, and the heartbreaking ending made me cry like a baby. My heart just shattered. I can understand the title the author came up with this story. There were so many deep, dark demons revealed within the pages of this story, including Angelo. This is an incredible read and I won't be forgetting this story anytime soon. This is my favorite story so far in this series and I highly recommend it!!

This is my first time reading this author and what drew me to this one was the promise of what lie within. I love good mysteries with the offerings of such far and few between with many being suspense not mystery. This one is founded on murders with the author taking you along using the characters to tell the story breathing life into it. This is the second one with the first one happens to be on I did not read. No matter on that because you will still be drawn into this one quite nicely. Characters take their turns telling bits of the mystery in this story at a time. Opening this one will be one of the victims that will be how the two detectives get involved in this. Angelo and Bobby be given a ripe one that will later turn out to be important to one of their ladies. They do have love interests but this story is a story through and through. Reminded me from time to time of a Humphrey Bogart movie the way this plays out. You have to pay attention but she will give you one little snippet of the killer when no one can figure out with one of these boys having to go undercover. Many elements are in this with the drama unfolding brick by brick and body by body. I was in rapture with the intrigue from start to finish. The clues are there but expertly woven in that you have to be a real sherlock to know the killer too. Romance is soft in here but no matter this will not what is the focus in the reading of this. You will be left though at the end wanting more.

You will be stunned silent, and sometimes grossed out at what the men and woman of the Detroit Police Department have to witness and go through all for the sake of catching a murderer. Buckle up for one hell of a bumpy ride, as Angelo Baldoni tries to find out who done it before more people turn up dead.

Another dark and fantastic case to completely lose yourself in! I don't know what it is about this series but I just devour them! I love how you think you know exactly what is going on, and then another twist. These characters are so real and likeable. The ending tho, I'm dying. I need the next book.

This was such a good book...it kept you guessing who the killer was from the beginning...I cant wait til the next one to see if some things get figured out for a few people....

Another installment in the Baldoni Files that kept me on the edge of my seat! The author's descriptions are so in depth I had moments where I had to take a break because I could almost smell the scene. At the end I wanted to throw my Kindle, which for me means the author sent my emotions into overdrive. That alone earns 5 stars from me when I can get so emotionally involved in a character that it angers me when things start to look like they won't go the way I want. Sometimes I want a murder mystery and other times I want romance. The Baldoni Files offers a nice combination of both. There is enough gore and mayhem to keep you on the edge of your seat with just the right amount of romance to give you something to hope for. Poor Bobby, the guy can't catch a break for nothing! I love his character and hope to find out more about his story later too. I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll just say go read this book! I look forwarding to reading the next installment which centers around Nate who I can't wait to find out more about!

Loved the first book and this was better! Bobby's story is featured in this book and wow does he have a lot of problems thrown at him at once. Can't wait to keep reading the series! I received an advance reader copy for an honest review.

I have been devouring crime thrillers this month. Deep Within is written in the vein of Lyndee Walker, Carolyn Ridder Aspenson, and James Patterson just to name a few. I love the knowledge and depth Mullins poured into this book. Filled with twists, I was guessing right of till the end. And that ending! Thankfully the next book is available.

Deep within is the third book in the Baldoni series. This book isn’t focused as much on Angelo’s blossoming romance, but rather on the “who done it.”
Angelo and Bobby (his partner in the Detroit Police Department) have a new crime to solve and it it’s a big one. One body after another turns up in the gritty streets of Detroit. These are horrific crimes that the average person literally could not stomach.
Angelo feels like his only course of action is to go deep undercover. He’ll do anything for his best friend.
The author writes with such conviction. Each character comes alive with her elegant descriptions. Ms. Mullins has a fantastic imagination and writes her murder scenes as if she’s experienced it personally.
As you read, you will feel like you’re solving these crimes right along with the detectives, as the author expertly weaves her story.

So many twists and turns, you think you know who did it but then you're wrong! Heather writes with so much detail it's like you're actually there with the characters and you're solving the murders right along side Angelo. This is my favorite book that Heather has written and I can't wait to read more from her.

Oh Angelo! What did you do?
This book kept me guessing until the very end. As soon as you think you have it figured out, there is a curl ball thrown. This book was a quick read for me because I couldn't put it down! This whole series has been a quick read. I recommend it :-)
