In all my gawking, I forgot I was seated at a window and that he could see me practically drooling over him. My fears were confirmed when he raised a perfect eyebrow and a smug grin played on his beautiful, full lips. I instantly dropped my blue eyes to my coffee and prayed he kept walking. I couldn't have been any more disrespectful! I had openly examined every visible inch of this man when I knew he held one of the two highest ranks possible. I should have instantly bowed my head in submission, but I was careless enough to let my mind get carried away.
The fist time I read I absolutely loved it. I reread it this year and I still love it but I have a few comments on it.
When reading werewolf books i think you need to keep in mind that its going to be a very "traditional" if you will (i hate that word but, that's a story for another time), relationship between the main characters. There is gonna be the over protective alpha male who will shred any person, particularly any man who even look at his woman the wrong way and then there is gonna be the self-respecting 'don't you dare get all dominant and possessive on my ass' main chick whose strong dominant character clashes with the alpha male;s possessive nature. The alpha male then soon realizes that he cant control his woman like he control his packs and learns to treat her as his equal.
What I have just described here in the basis of EVERY werewolf book.
another thing, werewolf books revolve around the whole 'finding a mate' plot line so when reading books as such you need to always keep in mind that these books will always be more fast forward when regarding relationship development and sexual relations because the mates are supposedly supposed to CLICK like love at first sight.
And this is exactly what happens in this book also.
