About the author

Brookelyn wrote her first short story when she was a sophomore in high school. Back then she discovered how using her experience as a teen living in Brooklyn to create romantic shorts was just as exciting to her as retail shopping and going on dates. After starting her first semester of college two years later, Brookelyn’s creative writing became more of a hobby and something to do to escape the stress of midterms and finals. Now in her 30s as a freelance writer, penning short stories and novellas is her everything. While her experience with writing has evolved for the better, her undying love for creating fiction remains unchanged. Brookelyn's focus is on creating contemporary women's fiction with characters based in urban settings. Her stories chronicles the emotional journeys and erotic experiences of women today through her characters and the scenarios they're thrown into.

The motivation behind her brand of writing has a lot to do with what she discovered storytelling provided for her - an escape. Her goal with her work is to create characters and urban worlds that offer a great escape for fiction readers looking for a break from the daily grind of adulting and who prefer to relax with good books and short stories. When she’s not freelancing, doing yoga, or showing her husband and toddler lots of love, she can be found sitting at her computer desk, with her legs folded, and a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine) at arm’s reach as she types or edits her latest short or novella.

Lila's story continues in book 2 of the series. I have to say this chick is on my last nerves.

First she messed with Manny, her off limits boss, thinking he was single, but never really asking the question. Then she finds out he has a situation with this other chick, but she still wants him. What? I can't.

When she figures out that Manny and his girl like to bring other people in their bed, that should have been the last straw for her. That was not only embarrassing, but disrespectful.

Then when Lila moves on to Mello, Manny has the nerve to act hurt. Really? This book had me wanting to fight for real. I knew Mello was about that life from the time she told him about her brother. He was a business man, but no legit business man pays for everything in cash. That should have been her first clue.

I just don't know what to say about Lila. J guess that old saying is true... The heart wants what it wants.

So Manny chose Ashley over Lila and that pissed Lila off. She was not happy and said that he will be back to her. Than comes along Mello, one of her customers who hair she cuts. He has been trying for a year to take Lila out and because she was hurt by Manny, she finally said yes. Mello and Lila hit it off and ended up in a relationship. Lila seemed like she was was a little hesitant but when Manny called her and invited her over again, she went,but wasn't expecting what she saw. This made her finally commit to Mello completely. Then the unthinkable happened with Mello and I didnt see this coming. So of course she ran back to Manny. Now what will happen next is a mystery to me, but i will be reading part three to see how it all turned out!!!

I love it when a book has me fussing and stuff at it... Ok so right. Ole gurl Lila needs to sit down and quit believing everything everybody tell you. For real girl get some spine and stop all this dang jelly fishing...

At a loss for words

This one was different. Not a typical read for me, but it was definitely different and entertaining. In fact, I couldn’t grey enough of it. I hope to read what’s next to come cause I really like Lila.. Manny not so much and I was starting to really like Mello.

Ready for Part 3

Lila is naive. Manny played too many games and honestly is indecisive and greedy like Monica said. Mello is good for her.

Good continuation of the series as Manny realized his true feelings. I thought @ first Mello was a winner, but now I see he is a bit shady. Storyline held my attention as I look forward to reading Lila's choice

Good follow up to part 1

This picks right up from part 1 where Ashley confronts Manny and Lila. There's the new character of Romello who I loved. It'll be interesting to see who Lila sticks with in part 3

The Saga continues with the woman who Manny is in a relationship goes after Lia. Lia is not having it and Manny proves Angela is first. In addition, Lia finds out Angela swings booth ways. So, Lia starts going out with one of her clients who is fine, and treats her life a Queen. However, Lia still has an itch she desires Manny to scratch. However, just as Lia determines she can be in the relationship with Mello, they get arrested. What will she do now?
Still reading this drama and this a big twist...Good read..
