Logan Mills hasn't always had it easy, and is just simply trying to get through life. With an absentee mother and alcoholic father Logan has the weight of the world on her shoulders. All Logan can really count on are her crazy ass friends Margo, April and her secret crush Ameer Sanchez to keep her sane.
Ameer Sanchez is a young rich, and in demand. With a small circle that consists of his best friends Jacob and Daniel, he doesn’t need much else to hold him down, well except for that special someone. He's fine as hell and on his way to living out his dreams. He also has everything he wants and can have any girl he wants but ever since he laid eyes on Logan he knew that he had to have her.
Unfortunately, for this bunch, life isn’t always as simple as it should be. Ameer is struggling to keep his head right, and do right by Logan but life keeps getting in the way. Keeping his past in the past is not working out as simple as he thought it would be.
Friendships and relationships are challenged, and some may not survive. Not to mention that the streets are invading their circle with a vengeance.
Roman is the plug that Jacob and Daniel work for and he has an offer that they can’t refuse, even if they should be running from it. With Roman about to step down will the guys step up and take his place or will unforeseen circumstances make it impossible.
Will Ameer be able to handle a relationship and running the streets? Will Logan be understanding of his constant demanding schedule? Will outside forces as well as, the ones closest to them try to tear them apart? And ultimately, is being Addicted to the Hustle really worth it?
Really enjoyed this book and loved the friendship between the young ladies and men and how loyal they were to each other. Liked the start of this series and how well developed the story was written. The story had a somewhat steady pace and flowed nicely. Had enough twist and turns for me to be waiting for more from these young characters whom I'm loving. Can't wait to see what unfolds in PT.2 after that Ending.....Good Read
This is my first and sure won't be my last read by this author. What a great story line. The way the characters jelled and the flow of the story AMAZING. Part 2 here I come
This was a very well developed story. These aren't just high school kids in puppy love but they have so many real issues you wouldn't believe. You have your top rated athletes who may seem as though they have it all but with life comes the grind. Good thug is they are the tops dogs in that game too but Ameer. Ameer has a different road to travel, after loosing something so special that brought a hole to his heart he finds away to mend it. Logn is firecracker but after some convincing she takes a chance on the poppular guy, but that chance comes with having to beat the breaks off his ex. The Author brought a lot twist and turns to story, April for instance lives a double life sending her near her death. Margo has to be a my fav tho, she has no filter and is definitely always in character. Her love life takes a jaw dropping turn that I'm still laughing about..you gotta read to understand. This first time Author has a nice piece of work here and with that ending...maaann..Uggghhhh..that's messed me up. I'll be looking out for part 2.
First off, what did the title have to do with the actual book? There were so many different scenarios in the book that I was jumping. The beginning seemed like it was going to be on point but then it was just pointless. Some of the scenes were good, but it just was too many. I didn't know what the main plot was. 16/17 year olds just out wilding like they're totally grown. I still don't know if Danny girlfriend went to school or how old she was. I think April is going to be margo's sister from Cuba.
Congratulations on landing your first hit! This was a great read and I really enjoyed the storyline. It was original, realistic and interesting. It touched on situations that you rarely read about- human trafficking, immigration among other things. The characters complimented each other and held my interest from beginning to end. But that ending thou...was not expected! A must read! Great job!
This book had me addicted from the very first page. These young people went through a lot in their young lies. I love how the storyline touched on some of the issues that are happening today, but are often not talked about. I loved the loyalty that they had to one another and always had each others back, no matter what. That ending really threw me for a loop. I can't wait until part 2.
Liked the storyline it touched on young love, human trafficking, and immigration. Things that happen in everyday life. Sad the Daniel Briggs didn't make it. Poor Daja and DJ. I hope everything will be good for Logan and Ameer. Jacob and April things need to work out. Jerrell and Margo, she needs to find a new man that's for her and only for her. Waiting for book 3
The author has done a great job, with a well written story, great characters, a steady flow and some very interesting twist. It is nice to read a story that doesn't concentrate on just the negativity of life. to see strong characters that are trying to better themselves and not looking for someone to do it for them. You will love the story and not want to put it down until the end. Definitely an author to keep up with. Can't wait for Part 2.
It was a great read by this new author. I loved the educational piece on sex trafficking. Margo's storyline was good, but didn't seem to fit in with the crew. I think it there was a lesson that was being taught to the readers (how maybe the dude was bullied as a child), I would have connected with it more. Overall, great read!
I love this storyline out freaking standing the characters on lovable or hateable that's how you know that you have a good game going on there the book is action packed full of drama and the characters I love my love my love can't wait for the next part make sure you tag me
This was a good read I liked how the story was unfolding especially in April's story who would've guessed she had all that going on. Same goes for Logan, her father was something else. Who would've thought that Margo ghetto fabulous self would be the same one out the crew. I hope that ending was dream can't wait for part two.
So disappointed in this book. Seeing the KC Mills stamp of approval....I expected so much more. These are high school seniors in grown ppl situations....I can't relate. So many things I see wrong in this book...please go back to the drawing board.
Ameer is bae. He's so good to Logan. But he better hurry up and put Katrina in her place. She is crazy. And must like getting her butt beat. Jacob and April are so cute. She needed him. I hope he makes Rolo and Celine suffer for the way he hurt Apryl. Margo is nutter than a fruit cake. Jarrell is simply Nasty. I can't believe you killed Daniel.
This was a pretty good book..... You don't often come across books where most are in high school so when you do you know its going to be interesting... Some parts where slow for me while some wasn't the end def. Catch my attention so I'm def. Looking for pt 2
I love this book but I'm going to need Daniel to comeback to life nih! Don't take him away from DJ,Daja, and his family...I don't like Rolo get rid of him!
Yasssss!!! I love it!!!! This is definitely a page turner.... I love the storyline from the beginning all the way to the end... I can't wait to read part 2!!!
This group of friends each have stuff going on in their life that they are going through now one of them is killed, how will everyone take the loss, have to read part 2
