most anticipated book FOR ME, since he has been introduced and we had everyone else's book I just wanted one thing and ONE THING only and that was Kane book.
First couple of chapters I was disappointed? why? nobody knows, then it kicked off, her feeling the unrest walking away from him, him being miserable without her, him asking Wyatt for girls advice? NAH I ATE THAT SHIT UP. my god
Prologue got me slightly confused because when the first chapter started I really thought he'd end up with the bear/grizzly, forced into it, shifter. so when the chapter started with a girl named Rowan I was confused? but fuck if I wasn't pleased.
finding out at the end of the book that Damon planned it all because of some vision? my god that was satisfying as fuck, because I starting guessing as much, it felt off that weirdly enough two of the strongest Dragon would be seated side by side, when Rowan had been forced to travel? ohhh we love a sneaky little cunt.
Kane past was truly unexpected but unfortunately not that surprising when we remember his behaviour in the previous books. I'm glad he got his happy ending.
the most unexpected part tho was Damon being there for Kane? the amount that man did for Kane? without ever asking anything back, without ever letting anyone know. he just supported him, and I loved finding this out. I know he did that because Kane and Rowan were fated but for someone that went through hell at the end of Kane's father... he is a better man than I would have been in his shoes.
Kane being scared his entire childhood of Damon, his entire adult life, without knowing that he is the reason why his dragon got calmed down after that Prologue scenes. yeah he was the one that had a hand into striping his Dragon away but he saved his life... him then protecting him again at the end of the book? making sure he wasn't killed or back to his Dragon being stripped away? nah that was cute. hopefully we'll see more of that dynamic into the series following this book.
I truly absolutely loved this, there is much more I could say but I'd just be rambling and I've done too much of that already.
