Things are about to get complicated in Crystal Cove. It’s been a year since the Witches Council removed Jane’s ability to perform spells. She’s now engaged and in preparation for her wedding, Max’s family plans a visit. When one of them is murdered, and Anthony is put in charge of the case, Jane must find the killer before Anthony pins the crime on the wrong person. That is easier said than done. The Witches Council is in town monitoring her after reinstating her ability to perform spells, her mother is on her case, and a creepy new family has moved to Crystal Cove. Who is this new stranger from the Witches Council? Will she find the killer? And what secrets is this new family hiding?

I really enjoy reading about Jane and Max. I liked the addition of Ethan and how he interacted with Jane after removing the spell that hid her powers for the year.
This book will keep you reading and the pages turning. The characters are lovable and the story flows, which in the past books were slow a few places. This book didn't have any of that. Great Reading Everyone!
I've had this book for a couple weeks before I started reading it. The reason for that was the ending on the last book. I felt so bad for the main character. In this book that is resolved but now the stakes are higher. And now there could be actual witch hunters in town. I'm still not liking her dad, wondering about the new handsome witch and the end of the book is another cliff hanger. After the last book I didn't think the author could write something that affected me as much as the last one. Well, I was wrong.
This series is really great. It's a good light read for winding down which is what I'm always searching for. Sometimes it feels a bit cheesy or copy cat of other series but if you can just let the little stuff go and enjoy the story you won't be sorry you read these! I'll be waiting patiently for the next!
I have found this series of stories has been most enjoyable. I enjoy the characters, their problems and how they solve the murders. I am curious to see what happens to Jane and Max
