Other days I realize I'm not alone in this journey, and although the very action of expelling ones deepest thoughts onto paper is intensely personal, it is deeply healing. Funny how that works.
I'm a mom, an animal lover, and adore lightening storms and fireplaces. I recycle, hug trees and sit on the grass whenever possible. I'm grateful for my parents for giving me life, and for my children for making it all worthwhile. I believe in showing kindness to others...just because.
The ideas for this book, and the ones that will follow, came at a time when I was hurting, and needed a release that only writing can bring. As a romance lover, I couldn't make myself write of new love, when it is easy to be in love, easy to be mad for each other, easy to have sex every night. Instead, I found a need inside me to re-connect couples, to shine a light of inspiration into a bedroom that has grown cold.
So I will continue to write, and be a mom, sister, daughter and friend. And read books that take me away or speed up my heart.

Zoe , a physician's assistant, has worked hard to get where she is. After the death of her parents, she worked her way through school. After a long day, Zoe’s roommate Bethany takes her to Pandora, a sex club, even though she didn’t want to go. There she gets intrigued. What she doesn’t expect is to meet the new guy in town.
Dr. Zander Archer is new in town and becomes a member Pandora. He wanted no parts of being in a relationship. Without knowing who she was, Zander gives Zoe the night if her life.
I read this when it was originally part of the Club Privé Kindle Worlds. The names of people and places have been changed but the story itself is still the same. I enjoyed it when I read it back then, and it was nice to revisit Club Privé (now Pandora). If you read and enjoyed any of the Club Privé series, you will enjoy the rebranded version of a Sweet Escape. I received the rebranded version of Sweet Escape from the author in exchange for an honest review.

There was nothing about this book that I didn’t love. I loved both Zander and Zoe. I loved Bethenny, Florence and the nursing home brigade. I loved that the BDSM club activities were both romantic and accurate. I loved that there were no secrets or any trumped up conflict. I loved that even though initially Zander was wondering where things with Zoe could go...the moment she needed him he was all in. There was nothing flashy about Zander, he was solid, reliable a ride or die type of man. I loved the unpredictability of this book...the scene in the morgue...never expected who the culprit was..the only thing I disn’t Love was that I could have read 100 more pages or I would love a sequel. I believe this is my first read of this author’s, but when I went to purchase additional books by Ms. Johnson it appears I already own several....all of which I will immediately read.

“Sweet Escape” by Leslie Johnson is such a terrific book. I am literally blown away at what a wonderful book this is. From the very first page I was caught up in the love story of Zoe and Zander. I literally stayed up all night reading this book. You get amazing suspense and sizzling hot romance all in one book. Each and every part of this book had such incredible details without being “too much”. Leslie brought these characters to life in such an amazing and sexy way. I can’t begin to describe how much I loved this book. The depth of each character was terrific and so well developed. This author makes the good characters great and the wicked characters terrifically evil. This is a must read book. I did not put it down until I read the very last sentence. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Can’t wait until Leslie Johnson’s next book comes out!

I read this book cause I thought the premise was interesting and the fmcs career was unique, but it felt like I was reading a mediocre episode of Grey's Anatomy.
First off, when Gray was first looking at Avery calling her "dark"? Bro what does that even mean. Anyways I thought the whole her sister being the murderer of her parents was kind of random and wasn't well incorporated into the story. With a bg like that you'd think this book would have darker, serious elements to it, but the majority of the book was focused on other things and it felt like that stuff was just added in in an attempt of a plotline.
I think this book had the potential for a cute doctor x PA romance that had a lighter mood to it with a bit of spice, but it went a complete different direction that definitely requires a bigger page count to fully flesh out.

WOW this book is absolutely amazing. It is action-packed, suspenseful, passionate, deep, and a roller coaster of so many sad emotions … you will cry for Zoe and her family. An emotionally deep and beautiful read that is well written with a well-developed, consistent and relatable plot. The characters are strong, complex, supportive, and perfect for each other … their chemistry instant, potent, and hot. This story grabs your attention from the start and keeps it until the end. A fantastic and amazing sizziling hot quick read. Zoey had has had great tragedy thru life. Not dating in a while her friend talks her in to going to sex club Pandrora. She has a hot wonderful night. Zander new to town joins Pandora and never into a relationship has an amazing night with Zoey leaving with feelings he must keep her. Imagine their surprise when they find out he is the new chief of staff. Turning into an amazing suspense with sizziling hot romance it made for a real page turner.

Zoe meets Sir at Pandora Club. What she doesn't know is that Sir is Zander, a man who doesn't take no for an answer. Not your typical rich man and physican assistant story. They can't get the other out if their mind. Then they meet at the hospital where Zoe works and bam!!!! Here goes the story into overdrive.

Definitely worth 5+ stars. This is a terrific story that was well written. The story flowed smoothly and followed a logical sequence. The characters were strong and unique. The chemistry between Zoe and Zander absolutely leapt from the page. I’m definitely going to be on the lookout for more from this author.

This story has a twist that makes it interesting. The steam is there, however, the past makes a definite contribution to the present and the twist is not nice or sweet. This story is more of what I expect from this author. Good read.

Avery Beck works hard as a Physician Assistant. Her life leaves little room for herself. When her best friend insists she lets loose and go to a club with her, she has no idea just how much her life could change after that one night. But will her past come back and destroy her future?
I enjoyed reading this entire story. There were many twists and turns in the plot that kept me burning through the pages. I was surprised at how much depth there was to the storyline as well as the connection I could have to these characters, since it was all packed into a novella. It could have easily turned into a full novel for me.
I can't wait to read more from Leslie Johnson and Elle Dawson. They are a phenomenal duo! I love how they create suspense, combustible chemistry and a memorable storyline!

Gray is rich and sexy (what a great combo) and just moved to Manhattan. He may be new to the city but he is not new to the BDMS world that Club Prive offers. He heads to Club Prive to check it out and it's everything he thought it would be and then some! He finds Avery, who surrenders to his every desire. She's perfect for him....but he has rules and she's causing him to break them! And our story begins!!!

Sweet Escape was a fantastic, steamy, quick read. Zoe is a PA in the ICU ward at the hospital. It's been a while since she dated anyone, so her roommate, Bethany, drags her out to a club where she catches the eyes of Zander. Zander is instantly drawn the the beautiful brunette that just walked into the club. He needs to have her. Just one night...
I love the writing team of Leslie Johnson and Elle Dawson. They write fantastic books that suck you in and keep you there until the end. This book is no exception. Told in both Zoe and Zander's POV.

I loved these characters and their storyline? I wanted more. We meet Avery and Gray in this crazy story. After having gone through a traumatic experience and loss in her life Avery is ready for something different. Gray likes control in all aspects of life. They have a chance encounter in a BDSM club that leaves them each wanting more. They once again have a chance encounter at their place of work. After danger comes her way he is her knight in shining armor. Short story and has a HEA.

This is a great book. The twists and turns kept me in the edge of my seat. The romance was hot. And there were some humorous moments too. Very fun to read. I loved both Avery and Grayson.

Loved this Avery was haunted by her past, and afraid to get close to others, until she meets Sir and feels and immediate connection. Great story with lots of twists I definitely didn't expect!
