Ahhh Wally! This book was beyond emotional and to be honest I wasn’t prepared for all of it. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Usually with a book this deep I like to give myself some preparation. This book tore me apart and while I began to accept one tragedy another happened, every single one of these people had some kind of hardship. I loved Wally, he was such a standup guy and I wanted more than anything for him to get his HEA with Mia.


Mia is struggling and the only way to pay her bills and save money is to strip, it’s Wally who finds her, who saves her but doesn’t push. Maggie Wally’s sister is estranged from her parents, has a baby and Wally lives with her and helps out. All three of these characters are struggling with things in their lives. All three of them want to do what’s best or what they think is best.

I’m not sure what else to say without totally giving it away. I will say prepare yourself, know you are going into a book that will have you laughing, crying and sometimes wishing you didn’t read what you did. You may go back and reread just to make sure.


I loved this cover and after reading the book I loved it even more.

Wally is from a respectable family and has pretty much had his life planned out for him. But when that doesn’t work for him anymore, he leaves that life behind. Maggie, Wally’s sister is also estranged from their parents because she had a baby. Now Wally and Maggie are making a life together the best that they know how.

Mia has been on her own since she could remember. Trying to pay her bills and build a life she turns to stripping to make money. There she meets Wally and everything changes. Wally is not a fan of the job she has, but he does not push her to quit.

Wally, Mia and even Maggie go through a lot. They each have struggles they are dealing with, and they do not want anyone to help them. There are events and people that try to keep Wally and Mia apart. It’s not until a tragedy happens, that they finally stay together and realize the meaning of family.

This story will take you on a roller coaster. There will be times when you laugh, cry and even get mad. What happens when you finally have the life and family you want, but then everything changes in a blink of an eye. I don’t want to give away too much of the book. But this is a great read, just be prepared for all the emotions you are going to go through.
