Hero could not be more stupid if he tried. He never loved his now dead wife but keeps all her clothes intact in the closet because NOW he wants to make it up to her. Dude, she's dead. She can't hear you or wear her clothes. Do I have to say "duh".
Meanwhile the ex-whore (she said it not me) keeps her clothes in suitcases and bags because....cringe...the closets are full. The h gets a bigger clue when she overhears him say bad stuff about her unworthiness and the son once agains points out the Dad what a loser he is.
Are we done yet? The only character with a lick of sense is the H's son.

Lisa, the heroine was the characters I enjoyed in this tale. Round, former VP of Grim Bastard was a jerk throughout the story but finally with the help of his son, Smoke he shook off his stupidity, woke up and claimed Lisa as his old lady!

Life lesson number one…you better appreciate what you have before you lose it. Would this be something that Round found out the hard way? Even with his son, Smoke, warning him of Rocky’s return from prison to the Bastard’s Clubhouse and with Rocky wanting Lisa as his own old lady six years earlier that warning pissed Round off. Words were flying from Round’s mouth before he realized what he was actually saying. The words that Round ranted found Lisa’s ear as she was passing through the clubhouse and made her think she was no better than her whore of a mother. Lisa didn’t want to turn to Rocky because she actually did love Round and had always hoped that Round felt the same about her and would make her his old lady. Well, according to what Round had just said that was never going to happen and that cut Lisa deep. Maybe it was time for her to move on and realize that Round would never replace his dead wife with the woman he just publicly had said he would never claim. Did Round really feel this way about the woman who he had be living with and sleeping with exclusively or did Lisa finally realize that maybe all she was to Round was his whore?
This is another book in the Grim Bastard’s series and they just keep getting better and better. I have been pulled in to the stories of the Grim Bastards and they always having me looking forward to what brother the ladies are going to be writing about next. I can’t wait…keep them coming because I can’t get enough of them!!

This series has been a guilty pleasure of mine and it keeps on getting better. The plot synopsis of it I mean, how could you not be curious as to how a romance like this would pan out? I'm used to outside heroines in distress getting said hot alpha biker man's attention and this one happens to be one of the club sluts.
I've been following author Emily Minton's MC reads for a while, but her and Shelley Springfield combined are both a lovely and deadly combo. Defnitely double the twists and double the seduction and trouble!!

Can a story be cute and filthy? If so, this book is it. Round is Smoke's father as well as former VP and Lisa is a former club whore (we meet her in Dirty Bastard). Every knows how Round and Lisa feel about each other, but can Round let go over his past guilt to lay claim to Lisa. Lisa is tough woman, but how much heartbreak can she take before it's time to cut her losses?

This was a quick bite of angst. I really liked Lisa. She'd finally had enough of not being first place in Round's life, and he finally got his butt in gear to prove that he was ready to make her so.

Guilty Bastard is a great novella belonging to the Grim Bastard's MC series by the amazing Shelley Springfield and Emily Minton. It is Round and Lisa's story.
What do you get when a club whore falls for a brother? One heck of a good read! When Lisa first started hanging around the Grim Bastard's clubhouse, she was happy to be shared by all of the brothers. However, that all changed when she fell for Round. She only wanted him and was no longer willing to be a "bed warmer". The problem was that Round already had an old lady. Yes, his relationship with Lauren was a train wreck, and while neither of them really loved one another like they should, Round refused to break it off because of his children. After Lauren is killed in a car accident, Round moves Lisa into his home. Can he get past all the hurt and betrayal that plagued his relationship with Lauren and see that Lisa is the perfect woman for him? Will he ever officially claim Lisa?
If you are a fan of this MC series like I am, I promise you will love this novella! It is a quick read with lots of hot and steamy scenes thrown in for good measure! I swear when Shelley and Emily come together, the result is perfection! I can't wait to read Nasty Bastard, Smoke and Gidget's story, which is set to be released later this summer!

I enjoyed this one as well...I always like when the club girl falls for an officer and he feels the same but resists for some reason or another...just to have the girl show him the error of his ways.
Round had suffered tragedy but Lisa was always there for him and it takes a lot of trials and mistakes to get these two on the same page.
I liked how it ended and all the love and tears it took to get there.

Wow!! I loved the first two books in this series and this was no different. It' a great quick read. Even though all three books are standalones I would definitely read them IN order.
This is Round's story. He's the old VP of the Grim Bastards. He stepped down when Baz's dad died and he took over. Round knew his son Smoke was the right man to sit at Baz's side to run the club the right way. Round's life definitely wasn't what he wanted. His life was his MC. He has proved it time and time again. Including when his daughter was against it. His Old Lady was everything but a proper Old Lady. Only in name. After she dies tragically he moves Lisa into his house. He's been in love with her for years now. Even though she'd be the perfect Old Lady and has been asked multiple times already. Round says he'll never take another Old Lady.
Lisa has been part of the Grim Bastards since she was seventeen. Baz's father gave her the job of over looking of the girls. When she fell in love with Round she stopped being a club girl.What his wife died and he moved her into his house she thought after six years he was going to finally make her his. But, after months of living out of a bag and with reminders of his wife all over the place. If that wasn't bad enough, Lisa hears words come out of Round's mouth that knocks the wind outta her lungs. Lisa went from feeling loved and at home, to a place that feels lonely and cold. She needs to do what's best for her before Round can open his mouth.
I absolutely loved this!! Lisa is just as awesome, strong, sexy and tough as the two previous ladies. Lisa has earned the respect from all the guys and ladies of this MC. She really looks out for the girls. But, that does not mean she can't tell when they're full of crap and call them out. And, in front of everyone! And, Round. I absolutely wanted to strangle him with my tiny hands. Multiple times! He definitely did not listen to his heart. It made me scream at times. I mean I understood his reasoning's behind his thinking. I do believe he should've acted differently. He's lucky he has Smoke. That's all I'm saying about that.
I love Emily and Shelley's co-writing. You never know who's writing what. Once I open their book it's not getting shut until it's done. That's how good they are. I'm looking forward to Smoke's story. Emily and Shelley better be writing lol

A fast paced, intense novella that is a MUST read! This series just keeps getting better and better, and this book is no exception. Round is the former VP of the Grim Bastards MC. He gave up his position to his son when the new president was voted in, knowing that the club needed to be led by younger blood. Even though he's smart about club business, his personal life is another story. Lisa started out a club whore, but after falling in love with Round she refused to give herself to any other. It didn't matter that he was married with children, she couldn't settle for less. When they finally get together, it's not what either of them expected, but that's what happens when they're both holding back. She's done being second in his life and one way or another, things are going to change.
I love the women of this series! They're strong, independent, don't take sh*t from anyone, not even their men, and not afraid to fight for what they want or believe in. They are a perfect match for these strong, loyal men with hearts of gold. Their flaws and down to earth characters make you love them and feel like you're visiting old friends when reading these books. This is a fantastic series that you don't want to miss!

Guilty Bastard is a novella that is focused on Grim Bastards member Round and ex-clubwhore Lisa. While this may be short, it's packed with a lot of pain, regrets, self-loathing, and love. Round has always seemed like a stand up guy who believes in the club, even when it meant he had to choose the club over his daughter. Lisa has earned the respect of the club and has brothers wanting to make her their old lady, but she always refused. It’s been obvious that Lisa and Round have some type of relationship. Now we get to go inside that relationship and get to know them a little better.
First off, Round is a butthead and I wanted to kick him in the balls for most of the book. Even at the end, I feel like he should have done something to show his true feelings besides what he actually did. And while I loved Lisa and my heart broke for her, I wanted to shake her until she found her self-worth. I know you can’t help who you fall in love with, but poor Lisa sacrificed so much of her time, energy, and life. But the sex was definitely worth some of the hurt, heartache, and pain.
This book made me really interested in Smoke and Hack’s extra curricular activities. I loved that Smoke cared about his father enough to try to make him see the error in some of his ways. I can’t wait for Smoke’s story!!! As a huge fan of the series, I have a feeling there will be more hotness and surprises to come.

Round and Lisa's story is to all sunshine and roses. Round certainly isn't married for the right reasons and can't forgive himself for being a better husband to her. Even if she was unfaithful. While Lisa has been with a lot of the boys in the club she stopped when she realized she was in love with Round. This story is short and I swear I wanted to kick Round where it would really hurt at times.

This is about Lisa and Round. Round is Smoke's dad. He used to be VP when Boz's dad was president. He stepped down because new blood was needed to help the Grim Bastards be what they needed to be. Lisa takes care of the clubs girls. They both want each other but Round has an old lady, albeit a uninterested one. They can't take it any longer and succumb to their desires. But Round feels guilty because even though he doesn't have an old lady anymore why should he have Lisa become his new old lady when he couldn't love like he should have? Will he realize the mistake before it's too late?
Guilty Bastard is a quick and sexy MC that I could put down. I had wanted them to have their own story and was so glad that we got it! Gives us some insight into what's to come!

I received a copy in return for an honest review. I can't express how much I love this series, Emily and Shelley have written something special with this one. Guilty Bastard is the 3rd book in the Grim Bastards MC series and its unique. This is a dark gritty love story that is years in the making. The 2 main characters are different, the synopsis says it all. How can a love grow when guilt holds one party back and if he doesn't let go of the past, he may lose his future. Lisa knows her place, she's been around the Grim Bastards MC her whole adult life, a club girl her heart is lost to a member. Round is happy with how things are, a member of Grim Bastards, he lives and breathes for the club, unfortunately if he doesn't face his past he will lose his heart. This story just adds to an already impressive series and I can't wait to see the next in the series.

I'm seriously in love with this series and every time I read a book I'm itching to read the next. This one was a novella and I read it in a couple hours. Guilty bastard is the story of Smoke's dad Round and a club "girl" Lisa. In most MC books I read I can't stand the club whores but you can't help to love and feel bad for Lisa. With a novella it's hard to write a review without giving away the whole story(for me anyways) so what I'll say is if you've read from these two ladies before then you know what to expect. For those that haven't they give you everything you can ask for in a story love, angst, steamy love scenes, and an HEA. This one just made me that more anxious for the next book. I can't wait to get my hands on it. Job well done again ladies!!

I am in love with all of the Grim Bastards books. These authors gave us Dirty and Filthy and now they are giving us Guilty.
Round is a Guilty Bastard and that has kept him from claiming his woman, Lisa. The question is, can Round work through his guilt so that he can claim his woman and prove to her that she is more than just the club whore before it is too late.
Guilty Bastard is a novella and a very short read, but I found it just as satisfying as the full length books in the series. At the end of chapter 4 I almost teared up. I even got a good laugh when Lisa took one of the girls to be “schooled”.
If you haven’t read the other books in the series, you should. They are all available free with a Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Guilty Bastard is a novella and a very short read, but I found it just as satisfying as the full length books in the series. At the end of chapter 4 I almost teared up. I even got a good laugh when Lisa took one of the girls to be “schooled”.
If you haven’t read the other books in the series, you should. They are all available free with a Kindle Unlimited subscription.

I loved this story. Lisa has a good soft heart, yet she has a fierce side that comes out. Round, he has so many regrets from the past, with his wife/mother of his kids, that he can't fully move on with Lisa. Lisa feels she will never be more to Round than a bed warmer, and as you read the story you know it isn't true. The love these two have for each other is moving....and the way they heat up the sheets, or kitchen, without the stove on, is HOT!!!! I love this series, and it is one not to be missed. This is a shorter story, but still packed full of goodness!!! I stopped what I was doing when it showed up on my kindle....love these authors work!!!!

From the very first page, I fell into this story and kept turning the pages until I couldn't any more. This story is about a complicated relationship between two people who care for one another, but hurt one another none the less. This couple hurt my heart some on their journey to getting their happy ending. This couple takes us on an emotional ride, but in the end, they get their HEA. This was a quick, good read that I definitely enjoyed reading. I cannot wait to read more in this series!

I was engaged with these characters. Lisa, the club girl who falls in love with one of the brothers. Round, who can't let go of his dead wife even though they didn't have the best of relationships. Round is consumed with guilt, feeling he didn't feel as much love as he should for his former wife. Lisa, always giving and making excuses for Round until years later when she's had enough. Round learns he has to make it right with Lisa and he ends up really groveling to get her back. I have not read any of the other books in this series, so this book can be read as a standalone.

I enjoyed reading Guilty Bastard. It wasnt as dark as the others in the series and that's ok.
Lisa and Round were a little older but unfortunately for Round he wasn't any wiser. He took Lisa for granted and she finally had enough. Round was sweet but I wanted to bop in the head at times. Thank God his son was there to help his dad out.
They took a few years but did find their HEA in the end.

Love this series
This novella was a nice surprise. Lisa was one of my favorite side characters from the first two stories. She is a kick ass chick who deserves the best. She is loyal to the club and loves it like the members. Round is an older member of the club who we also meet in the previous stories. Their story together broke my heart a little bit, but at the end all was good!!! Can't wait for Smoke's story.

Guilty Bastard is a delicious little snack to read. It is the story of Road and Lisa. Round is feeling guilty for not loving his late wife the way he thinks she deserved. Lisa is a club whore who fell in love with a brother. Emily and Shelley again give us a wonderful story to read that makes you want more. Road and Lisa’s story is just enough to hold us over until we get the next installment of the Grim Bastards series.
