What happens when a scientist from a futuristic world reincarnates in a World of Magic and Knights?

An awesome MC — that’s what happens!

A scientist’s goal is to explore the secrets of the universe, and this is exactly what Leylin sets out to do when he is reincarnated. Dark, cold and calculating, he makes use of all his resources as he sets off on his adventures to meet his goal.

Face? Who needs that… Hmmm… that guy seems too powerful for me to take on now… I better keep a low profile for now.

You want me to help you? Sure… but what benefit can I get out of it? Nothing? Bye.

Hmmm… that guy looks like he might cause me problems in the future. Should I let him off for now and let him grow into someone that can threaten me….. Nahhh. *kill*

The rating is for my second read through. This arc is much better when you know what’s going to happen. The author absolutely sucks at writing subterfuge and action. However, he’s pretty good (especially in comparison) at writing lore about both cultivation types and different materials used in crafting. This arc drew me in enough to want to read more about the history of the ice caves and warlocks; and since I already knew what was going to happen the subterfuge wasn’t horrific. Hopefully I can maintain enough interest to get past where I previously dropped this novel in the upcoming arc.

As some others have commented, the writing isn’t outstanding. Part of this could be due to the translation. The overall story is still interesting enough (and by now I’ve invested too much time already) that I want to know the story’s ending...

better than book 1, author has an annoying habit of using simile's that don't work for the world even when writing from a perspective other than leylin
