Underwood, Scotch, and Cry

Rate this book
Arthur has been dumped by his girlfriend and his publisher.

Now, faced with an ill-advised wager for one million dollars against his much more successful nemesis. Arthur has to come to grips with the fact that he’s completely screwed.

In this sequel to the social media satire, Underwood, Scotch, and Wry , Arthur finds that his snarky attitude isn’t going to help get him out of trouble. He needs to delve into the murky world of self-publishing to learn about the areas of the book business he has mocked relentlessly for decades.

Or he may just give up and drink.

Katarina is a successful romance author who seems immune to Arthur’s charms…mostly.

Can she save him from himself?

Give it a read because everyone enjoys a chuckle.

Book two in this two book series was just as fun and enjoyable as book one - Underwood, Scotch, and Wry. Loved the characters, loved the snarky dialogue, loved the story line. And.....it really delved into the process of writing a novel and self-publishing - if you are interested in this, save yourself a lot of money on classes and read this book for a good overview! HAHA! It is a fun, quick read.....I recommend it!

Exceptional book... very imaginative approach to writing a story. Sorta like looking at an image in two mirrors facing each other and a little offset. There's multiple images down a long hall. Great surprise ending after "The End."

Arthur Byrne

I like Arthur’s character and I like Brian Meek’s writing; hence the four stars. Admittedly, the story gets wrapped up a little too neatly in the end, but if you read the first book in the series you knew where it was heading. Keep them coming.

only a few bright spots of sarcastic banter, otherwise a boring and tedious read.

Again Mr Meeks entertains to the end. I love the changes to the cover art. This book not only entertains but educates or informs as we stagger along the journey with Arthur.
