True Colours

Billy loves his older brother Nick. He also fancies Clara, a girl in his class at school. When Nick gets a new job, he gives Billy some cash, so that finally Billy has enough money to ask Clara out.
Only Nick's new job involves stealing cars and robbing money and when Nick messes up, it's not long before Billy is in trouble too.
Billy must choose between helping his older brother or hanging onto the girl he loves.
And sometimes, you think you know someone, you think you have them pegged and you realise you were so wrong....


The original version of this book (Dirt Tracks) won a Bisto Book merit Award and was short listed for an RAI reading award. This is it's new, cooler cousin with an even better ending.
