A rising R&B superstar with a supportive boyfriend, wonderful friends, and the life she's always dreamed of, Myria has it all. What else does she have? A secret that could possibly unravel the life she's worked so hard to create. Just when everything couldn't get any more perfect, an old friend boards a plane to Miami to remind Myria that it's never right to forget where you came from. Will Myria be able to face her inner demons, or will they destroy her love and happiness?
In a strange twist of fate, Janelle finds herself back in sunny Jamaica and embarking on a new journey with the handsome Donovan Copeland. With the idea of falling in love and living happily ever after becoming a bright possibility, Janelle has to face a few of her own demons. The biggest one? The secret that caused her to seek revenge on Dom. Will she be able to mend her broken heart, or will the Ice Queen, Janelle, decide that her throne is more important?
With his mental health at 100%, the King of Miami, Dom Haveras has the loving Myria by his side and Miami in the palm of his hand. Life is sweet, but it suddenly turns sour when the Ice Queen makes a snow filled return, promising to wreak havoc on him because of a common secret they share. Knowing that no love is lost between himself and Janelle, Dom finds it hard to convince a skeptical Myria when him and Janelle find themselves in an awkward situation. After proving to Myria that Janelle is nothing but a piece of the past, Dom realizes that the problem isn't whether or not he's ready to be Myria's King. It's if she's ready to be his Queen?
With secrets threatening to spill from left and right, Myria and Janelle find unsuspecting allies in one another, with each twin saving the other more times then they'll ever be able to repay. However, despite playing on the same team, each woman has her own reservations. For Janelle, it's whether or not Myria will be able to accept her for who she truly is. And what Myria wants to know is simple.
I enjoyed all of the ups and down of this book, just like the first one. I do have to say I'm happy that the twins eventually got their stuff together and became loving sisters after all the craziness at the beginning. I do have to say I'm a little thrown off by the way the book ended, regarding Janelle, because I really thought she was in-love and happy and all that so how she was talking about wrecking havoc on peoples lives is just surprising to me because I thought she changed her bad girl ways but I guess not. Overall good series.
Pretty decent read, glad that everyone had there happy ending. Even proud of the fact that Dom got his act together with keeping his hand to himself. Somewhat proud of Janelle getting the hatred out of her heart. Julio was really a sick person and I couldn't believe he did what he did. Overall good read, keep up the good work.
Janelle is the devil reincarnated. But in this book she used her evil for good. I was so glad she went to bat for her sister. Zulu just didn't know that messing with Myria put him in Janelle's path. Julio was just crazy and obsessed with Myria. Glad Janelle, Travis, Myria and Dom all got their happy ending.
So I came looking for this series based off a member of a Facebook group searching for it and the summary that they gave as well as the summary the book gave drew me in! This series had an EXCELLENT storyline, like it could have been made into a movie. However, I feel like it fell flat.
The writing felt all over the place and there was much detail given in places it shouldn’t have been. Like Janelle dating the brother in Jamaica. Yes he have her a life lesson on choosing someone who will choose you but the rest of the scenario with the mom being killed like … okay? If she needed to come back to Miami that seemed like such a dramatic way to do so. The plot twist of Julio could have been so perfect but it lacked detail and depth. The writing often felt rushed and it soon felt like it was starting to drag. It took me a week to finish this series and it was only 2 books. For the complexity of the storyline, I was left wanting more and not in a good way.
This was a twist and turns and with book. I loved the plot twist the cake along with the family. I was ecstatic-when Gino & Vixen made their appearance
This was a good read! I enjoyed reading all the drama between the twins. I'm happy they forgave one another and started being sisters again. I loved it!
The two books were a good read, I'd even call this a page turner but that ending was sorryyyyy. It was a very bad example of a twisted ending. The author probably should have left that little excerpt out about Janelle and it would have been an overall great read. If not the author should have at least confirmed the outcome of Janelle and Travis' story...they went from getting married , to having a baby being surrogated by Myria to her starting a staged killing business...again stupid ending.

Another page turner that you just cannot put down. With the introduction of a few new characters, the good story created in part one is kicked up a notch. Myria's deep, dark secret comes crashing in with a vengeance and threatens her happiness. We learn so much more about what makes her the woman she has become. There's a guess who's back times two that will have you shaking head. I couldn't put this one down until I finished it. Do yourself a favor...this one is masterfully woven and the suspense is non-stop. GREAT JOB!
This was even better than part one... It had all the elements of grimey that was needed... I'm happy that Janelle didn't stay the ice queen for long because she was getting on my nerves seeking "revenge"... Myria went through a lot and I'm glad that she overcame everything because it was horrible... Julio was still a crazy fool and got what he deserved
