'Hi, beautiful,' a voice called.
I didn't look up. I knew it wasn't calling at me.
'Hey you! You with the long brown hair and sexy legs!' the voice insisted.
Long brown hair was me. Sexy legs wasn't. Rachel once describe my legs, as I was changing for gym, as a pair of rubber knitting needles. I carried on walking, ignoring the low whistle, and the throaty roar from somewhere above me.
And then something crashed behind me. That made me look. I was just in time to see this scruffy little kid picking himself up from the pavement and dusting himself down.
