Vin (aka Flame) can't believe he's in yet another holding cell. Stupid Earthlings would'nt know fun if it bit them in the hindquarters.
Speaking of fun, the hot little number who claims she's a guard at the jail has been making his body respond in ways he's very happy about. If only she'd get on board with the plan and help him escape back to his ship.
First she'd have to believe he's an alien. Right now she's taken to thinking he's crazy.

Ok I'd heard about this trilogy that connects with the authors Dragon lords books but unfortunately I haven't read the book before this one, Spark. Now that's not necessarily a bad thing as I've noticed in the past this author often gives separate accounts of events but told through a different perspective and I strongly suspect that's what's happening here. As the story begins two brothers and their cousin are on route to Earth in the hopes of finding perhaps a wife but most definitely a good time! Vin however finds himself in a very sticky situation indeed, covered in ice cream , a bit delirious, locked up and lusting after his very attractive jailer! Yikes how on earth can an alien convince a very suspicious human that he's not certifiable ? Most of this story is set on Earth but the author does include some background information about Vin's home planet. Right from the start it's amusing to learn what misinformation the aliens have gathered and it's obvious that certain costumes and guises they adopt could really make them stand out but that's the beauty of this authors work . Yes it's a sexy romp but there's always time for a few laughs along the way. There's a strong chemistry between the couple and a sweetness and naïveté to Vin that's simply charming. Angela is in a difficult position with financial and emotional commitments yet it doesn't prevent her showing kindness to someone no matter how strange they might act . If honest I really enjoyed the beginning of the story but it seemed to get wrapped up a little too quickly for me . I can't fault what Vin does but Angela just lacked a little something towards the end. Still I'm curious what might happen next so will look out for the next story and hope it gives me the depth I prefer I was provided a pre publication copy of this book by the publisher for review purposes Three and a half from me
I loved this second book in the Galaxy Alien Mail Order Brides series for many reasons. It's a fun short read with a lot of crazy, fun characters. It's also have the added laughs of Vin being addicted to ice cream! That part was so funny. I really enjoyed this book and read it quickly.
Vin has only been on earth for less than a week but after developing an addiction to sugar (of the ice cream variety) he lands himself in jail! There he meets the lovely Angela, casino security and wannabe law enforcement officer. She somehow manages to calm him down but she is shocked when some strange men turn up and melt the lock to the jail and make off with Vin!
They reconnect and Vin learns about the problems she is having maintaining care for her dementia suffering mother. When he declares himself her suitor and then goes about wooing her, Angela isn't sure who's craziest him or her!!!
We get a lovely cross over with Spark, seeing some of the action from another vantage point and I can't wait to see the 3rd account of the same hijinks! Along with the misinformation that the boys have been supplied with and the general naivety they have of earth, there are lots of ducks out of water moments and the boys are adorably inept dealing with Earth! Lovely emotional moments of Angela dealing with her mum and Vin's total 180 view of how to deal with her, brought a teat to my eye! Roll on book 3!!!
I totally enjoyed this book it was funny and I even laughed out loud in a lot of the book. Vin (flame) is an alien on holidays from Bravon a mining planet with his brothers but they only came to earth because they signed on to find a bride on earth and take her back home. And of course true love never runs smoothly but ice cream does and Vin is addicted to the sugar rush he gets from it and that’s where he meets Angela in a ice cream parlour and she arrests him, vin is so smitten he does everything she asks of him. Can Vin get himself out of this trouble and can he make Angela his bride. Read it you will love it.
This is the second book in this awesome series! Vin has arrived on Earth as part of Galaxy Alien Mail Order Bride trip and is supposed to be finding a bride. Vin AKA Flame has gotten himself into a little bit of trouble over.....ice cream and has been detained but on the up side he meets Angela! Flame's brother rescues him from his cell and takes him back to their hotel suite to get him an injection for excessive sugar intake because he can't handle the sugar. Flame does everything to find Angela and when he does they spend some special time together only to be interrupted by.......
so funny.. I do believe Vin or Flame is my favorite... who would have thought that ice cream could be a drug to an alien lol. I also absolutely loved his interaction with Angela's mom who had dementia... it caused some serious feels. Angela was a great character too.. she wanted to be a cop but it was more so she could take care of her mom than anything else... if anyone can keep him on the straight and narrow and away from that ice cream it'll be her.
Thinking he was going on a vacation only to find out he is on a ship going to earth to find a bride was a surprise. Once on the planet with his family this alien minor finds out how finding love can really get you all locked up. A fun fast read I could not put down.
This series is so much fun. Kal and his cousins are on a free vacation on Earth if they look for brides. The trouble they get into is hilarious. I read this in one setting I had so much fun reading it. Just a good hearted fun read. Love it.
Vin aka Flame was tricked into signing up for an alien bride finding trip by his cousin Kal aka Spark, along with his brother Sev aka Blaze, to Las Vegas on Earth from their world on an ash mining planet Bravon, which was a bit short on female companionship. They are Killians, a race that love to work hard and fight, but don’t exactly want to marry any of the females of their kind really. Vin is looking to get some ideas for some sort of business when he returns home, but instead he ends up addicted to ice cream and gets a huge sugar rush. Trying to keep on the high, he goes behind the counter of a shop and takes a whole tray of ice cream out and starts shovelling it in his mouth as fast as possible! This ends up with the police being called and him being arrested, but by a young woman he can’t keep his eyes off. Her name is Angela Borden and she is on her first night as a trainee police officer, and Vin is the first person she has put handcuffs on! He follows every single word she says, complying with her orders, but not so much that of her training officer. Angela has taken this job to make more money, so she can get her mother into a better care home and pay the bills. The amusement comes with Vin’s grasp of the English language and his very direct approach to wanting to get this woman into bed with him! Angela gets left alone to look after him in the cells, whilst the other officer answers another call and shortly after, his brother Sev turns up with a couple of officials from the Galaxy Alien Mail Order Brides (GAMOB) company, to break him out!
Vin had been trying to be truthful with her, as she had asked whilst she was questioning him about the ice cream shop incident, telling her about his true origins and alien status, but she didn’t believe him until he was rescued and one of the guys’ skin peeled off his hand! The GAMOB officials want to know if Vin wants Angela brought back to the ship with them, but he knows she won’t want to leave her elderly mother. Angela can’t forget him once he is taken away and thinks she will never see him again, but can’t help looking around her every day, just in case he had come back. Vin has the horrible enforced cold turkey experience from his sugar high, as he is left chained to his bed, whilst Sev goes looking for Kal. Angela visits her mother in the care home and is sad to see her mother doesn’t recognise her yet again. A shocking reunion comes during her visit and Vin finally gets his time alone with Angela, but they are rudely interrupted, with officials coming for Vin again. This time, to return him home with immediate effect, against his wishes! Only a miracle will bring them back together for a HEA ending it seems, but there is a lovely twist to the tale and it looks like another alien has found a wife when he least expected it. Great fun to read and lots of laughs with their somewhat odd interpretation of the language and customs. Their partners never accept their alien status at the start, but soon become persuaded by what they can do. I look forward to reading more of these stories and seeing who falls in love with who, next.
I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout, and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Audiobook Review: I absolutely adore this author's two series based in the Quirilixen world, this series and the Captured by a Dragon Shifter series. For sci-fi romance, they are incredibly funny and a pure delight, whether read or listened to. Poor Flame, who in the first book of this series was portrayed as the bad boy of the group of three relatives who have used the Galaxy Alien Mail-order Bride program to get a cheap ticket to Las Vegas to have a little fun. Their views on what Earth and Earth cultures should be like have been warped by the transmissions they've watched that they think are factual but are actually our old TV shows. Flame, known as Vin on his homeworld, gets the hilarity started right in the first chapter when we see the results of sugar from ice cream hitting his alien system. But during this encounter, he meets a young police officer he is instantly attracted to. What I love about these heroes in the series is that they are completely guileless. What they know of Earth is skewed, yet they're trying to make sense of it the best way they know how. So when this pretty female that he's attracted to puts handcuffs on him, he thinks she's giving him a gift! And he doesn't want to take them off, even when offered! (Side Note: I love the running gag about the wax museum in these books. The aliens think real people are imprisoned in wax...and that their families visit them and take pictures!) Watching the heroine's reaction to him is so much fun, too. She just doesn't know quite what to make of him. Is he crazy? Is he simple? Or is he truly what he says, an alien from another world? The heroes in these series are incredibly sweet and earnest. The heroine's mother has mild dementia, and the heroine's having a hard time getting through to and understanding her mother. Flame knows just how to interpret her mother's actions and is so kind and compassionate towards her that the heroine cannot help but be touched and impressed (as is the reader). The narrator does a good job giving different voices to all the male characters; I loved the ones for the Brides company aliens at the end, and she does a particularly good job of getting across the heroine's shifting thoughts and emotions. If you enjoy slightly wacky sci-fi romance, you will probably find this as much of a delight as I do.
I received a promo code for this book, but that did not affect my review.
Vin, earth name Flame, is from a mining planet with few females and no good options for having a family. His cousin Kal signed himself, Vin and Sev up with Galaxy Brides Corporation. They decide they need earth names so Kal becomes Spark, Vin becomes Flame and Sev becomes Blaze. They spent the trip learning about the earth females and their mating customs. Unfortunately for the boys, they are a few hundred years out of date!! They land in Las Vegas and start trying to pick up women, without much success. When Flame discovers ice cream, he can’t get enough. Little did they know that Killian’s don’t handle sugar very well and Flame goes crazy trying to find more ice cream. He ends up getting arrested in a casino and meets Angela, the casino cop who arrests him and throws him in a cell. Sev comes and gets him out, but they chain him to the bed in their hotel room until the sugar gets out of his system.
Angela, is in a training program for Casino security. She really needs the job to pay for her mother’s care in the nursing home. She is totally humiliated that she “let” her prisoner escape. She can’t really tell anyone that he is an alien and other aliens came and took him. She also can’t seem to forget him and doesn’t understand why she is so drawn to him. She is visiting her mother one evening when he finds her. He is very kind to her mother and her heart melts.
Can these two really find happiness on earth and will the Galaxy Brides let him stay on earth? This story will make you laugh out loud and steal your heart!

Flame is Vin's story. Vin is a troublemaker who just like to have a bit of fun. His cousin, Kal may have tricked his brother, Sev and him into a vacation via Galaxy Alien Mail Order Brides to Earth but Earth was beginning to sound like fun to him. Where else could Vin go after being banned from some of his vacation places being in a fight is his definition of fun.
This story has more humorous than the first book, Sparks. Vin got an to ice cream addition which got him arrested in an ice cream shop. After meeting Angela, a police trainee, who arrested him, Vin couldn't stop thinking about her. The interaction and conversation between Vin and Angela are just so hilarious.
It's just funny how Vin associated ice cream with having a period and that going to jail mean being encase in a wax prison. Vin and his brother and cousin have assimilated themselves based on Earth's commercials and human behavior.
Readers and listeners are going to have a blasted just chuckling and laughing at Vin and his brother and cousin interaction with earth's cultures.
The narrator, Kylie Stewart did a fabulous job. I just love that Australian accent given to Vin. It is quite hilarious especially when Vin claimed that he is from Canada. We all know what a Canadian accent sounds like. The narrator also did a great job with Angela, as being a serious character but also empathetic to Vin after finding out that Vin is an alien from space.
I was given this audiobook by the author. I have decided to voluntary to write an unbiased review of this book. I was not compensated or influence in any way in writing this review.
A captivating second book in series, Vin and Angela are the main characters and captivating read Vin has been on the earth for a little over a year and apart for his attraction to females and his addiction to ice cream he has been unfortunate in being incarcerated in to the local jail. Angela is employed working on the casino floor as security and also was trying to be a law enforcement officer. She has been helping Vin and trying to assist him with overcoming the addiction he has to sugar in the ice cream he has become addicted to. When she sees him being taken away by a group of men she has never seen before. Without any real hesitation she knew that she had to find Vin, the relationship that has built between them was important and she knew she had to try and find him. When Vin actually sees Angela and realises all that she has been through trying to find him he knows that he has a destiny, he asks her is she would consider being his partner, this is a very entertaining read and I guarantee that readers will be captivated by this the next book in the series. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

I found Flame to be a fun, short alien-on-Earth romance with a lot of heart. The story hit the ground running and just kept on going, with Pillow mixing a delicious combination of humor and deep feeling. It’s the second adventure intermingling the Intergalactic Dating Agency and the Qurilixen Universe Pillow created, and though I haven’t (yet) read the first story, Spark, but this tale stands solidly on its own two feet. Possibly because of the length, there’s less romantic development than I might have been looking for the in story, but the romance is satisfying. Watching as Vid throws himself into pursuing Angela is really quite fun. And I enjoyed seeing the characters from the other books in the series, and as always the expansion of the universe the author is building. If you enjoy alien-on-Earth romances this is a very cute, very fun adventure, and I’m definitely going to be checking out the other books in this particular series!

I enjoyed this book. It was really fun. Vin ends up getting himself arrested in an ice cream shop after getting too forceful and demanding entire tubs of ice cream when he suffers addict-like withdrawal effects from the sugar. He is completely infatuated with Angela- the officer who arrests him-, happily goes to jail with her, and enjoys the handcuffs she 'gifted' him and didn't want them removed. There were lots of things to smile about in this book, from his totally normal human name of Flame, to believing people were being imprisoned in wax museums where family could visit them and take pictures (what a hilarious and unique concept!). I thought Angela very sweet and patient and calm with him- believing him high on something, or just crazy. I was impressed with her behavior. Until the proof of aliens happened of course lol
I listened to this as an audiobook narrated by Kylie Stewart. She enunciated everything clearly and I liked her tone of voice. She did a good job for Angela. Her male voices were okay.
Vins cousin signed him up to find a mail order bride on Earth. Shortly after arriving he got himself arrested, confessed he was an alien to the female officer and then broke out of the cell he was put in after professing to want to get to know the female officer a lot more. Angela’s day just goes from bad to worse. She gets left alone babysitting the weird man she arrested and when trying to take his statement he tells he he is an alien of all things. Then a group of men, no aliens turn up and break him out, while she just stood there. Aliens!! Surely it can’t get any worse. She’s not sure whether she wants to see him again or not, until she does and he does one of the sweetest things she’s ever seen. Maybe he’s not so bad after all.
This fiery short story contains one sweet and innocent alien male, a sassy human female, some steamy scenes and ends in a happily ever after.

This second book in this series is about Vin/Flame POV's after his brother tricked them to take a maiden voyage on a Galaxy Alien Mail Order Bride trip to the "Sin City" is a enjoyable cute alien romance story. Vin embraces exploring the city with Kal and Sev, they try eating the human food. One food becomes his newest addiction- Ice Cream. On a solo trip Vin goes to get ice cream which makes him punch-drunk from the sugar rush. Arrested by Angela a mall cop in training, he's put in jail. Vin finds himself very attracted to Angela and when Sev and the people from the Mail Order Brides arrive doing a jail break exposing them as Aliens to Angela, what will Angela do needing the job to take care of her sick mother? Loved the humor, the characters, the interactions between Flame and Angela in this ARC that I volunteer to read and review via Booksprout. I'm looking forward to read Sev POV's the more serious and pessimistic of the trio.
Prepare to laugh out loud. An alien named Flame gets into trouble, as ice cream makes him appear drunk. A mall cop is called and Angela arrests him. Surprise - they are mates. Now he just has to convince her that he is indeed an alien and they belong together. Angela needs to keep her job as her mother has dementia and is in need of better care. The characters are terrific, with great backstories, emotions and feelings. The storyline was great, with plenty of situations that are hilarious and unexpected. The romance was nicely done, with talk of how each others planet and life are in comparison. Loved how they felt in sync and fought for each other. Wicked how the alien guards turned into evil clowns. Can not wait to read more of this group.

Poor Angela is not having a good day! She's trying to impress her partner for a new job and Flame ruins it for her. Not that she totally blames him, but she's desperate for this new job and this whole incident with Flame is just too bizarre. I mean, aliens, really? Ice Cream, really? But man, is he hot and he makes her feel the pull towards him. Flame thinks that she's the most beautiful female that he's ever seen and he feels the attraction to be with her. He'll do anything to be with her. Therein lies the problem, or can I say some of the more hair raising moments between them. Will they be able to together? A rollicking adventure, even better than the one before . Great characters and awesome worldbuilding. I recommend this one. Can't wait for the next one in the series.

Michelle M. Pillow’s second book in her ‘Galaxy Alien Mail Order Brides’ series lives up to its title by sending the pages on flames. This story has a humorous romance that’s really gripping. Flame and Angela, the main characters, have a wonderful chemistry. Flame is a Killian alien on the planet Bravon who comes to Earth on vacation. He gets a taste of ice cream and immediately gets addictive and has a sugar high. He has a craving fit and goes to an ice cream shop to get an ice cream fix. The waitress is too slow so gets in the ice cream case and helps himself. Angela, a trainee for Las Vegas Security is called to help apprehend Flame. When he sees Angela, it’s love at first sight for him. I loved this book so much it was hard to put down. Highly recommended and definitely a MUST read!
This is the second installment in the Galazy Alien Male Order Brides series and is Vin "Flame" and Angela's story. It starts where Kal "Sparks" story ended and I truly got a kick out of how clueless these Alien men were about Earth and its customs. They got themselves in some truly strange situations such as Vin's experience with ice cream. His sugar high caused him to act like an addict in search of his next high. He met Angela when he got arrested by the mall cops for demanding more ice cream from a shop and she was in their training program. As crazy and clueless as they are they somehow manage to make a love connection along the way in spite of it. If you want a light hearted feel good story I suggest you check this one out.

I thoroughly enjoyed this humorous novel, finding myself laughing out loud frequently. Vin, also known as Flame, is an alien on vacation from the mining planet Bravon with his brothers. However, their trip to Earth is motivated by a quest to find a bride and take her home. As expected, their romantic journey is anything but smooth, but Vin's love for ice cream certainly is a highlight. His addiction to the sugary treat leads him to an ice cream parlor where he meets Angela, who, in a surprising turn of events, arrests him. Despite the situation, Vin is smitten and eagerly complies with Angela's requests. Will Vin manage to escape this predicament and win Angela's heart, making her his bride? I highly recommend this book – you won't be disappointed!.

Flame is visiting Earth to find a bride but before he meets a woman who he is attracted to he finds ice cream and as this is the first taste of anything with sugar, he becomes an addict which results in him being arrested on suspicion of being on drugs! Jane is the person who arrests Flame, she is kind and understanding and Flame thinks he has finally met the woman for him. When he is released from jail by the Galaxy Mail Order Bride representative, Jane finally believes in aliens. There are many funny moments as Flame tries to impress Jane using what he learnt from watching transmissions from Earth which he assumes are factual but are in fact fictitious entertainment. Now to read ‘Blaze’ the next book in series.
Michelle M. Pillow knows how to pull you into a story. I love her imagination with the alien world. Flame goes to earth for vacation and meets the love of his life when she arrests him for disturbing the peace. Angela is new on the police force but feels sorry for Flame. He only wanted ice cream but did not know earth and thought he could buy the tubs at the ice cream shop. This book was hilarious with the alien's thoughts on mannequins being a wax prison. I love how he made sure her mother was taken care of when he was forced away from Angela. He chose to show his love by doing a big thing for her. I did not want to put this book down.

Vin (Flame) thinks he and his family were going on a vacation when actually they were on a ship headed to Earth to find a bride. They get dropped in Las Vegas and Vin discovers the joy of Ice Cream! He attempts to consume the entire tub from the ice cream store and the police are called, especially when the overindulgence of ice cream makes him seem almost drunk. Vin is very attracted to the female police officer Angela who is intent on arresting him. Will she feel the attraction as well? Will he convince her they could be good together?
This is a fun, comedic story where we watch all the trouble these young aliens get into. The characters are likable, however, so it’s fun to watch their shenanigans. Grab your copy and enjoy!
This is the second in the Galaxy Alien Mail Order Brides Books and another Qurilixen world story. Kal (aka Spark) had tricked his cousins into signing up for the Galaxy Alien Mail Order Brides and they were now in Las Vegas. Vin (aka Flame) gets a sugar rush after eating too much ice cream and ends up being arrested. His guard in jail is Angela and she really ticks all his boxes except she doesn’t believe he is an alien, she just thinks he’s crazy. How they come together makes an enjoyable and entertaining read. The aliens are so childlike and endearing as they navigate this strange world where they have landed and although they came for some fun they end up falling in love..
