Selah is dodging attacks on every side . . . but time may be her greatest enemy
The Mountain is destroyed, the way to the West has been opened, and Selah's quest must continue. Her very life depends on it, a fact made all too clear along this treacherous journey.
As Selah struggles to comprehend the vast destruction of the landscape, another battle rages within her heart. She knows that her father freely gave up his life to save her, and that she's surrounded by people who are risking their lives moment by moment to keep her safe. Every time someone else puts themselves in the line of fire meant for her, the guilt within her grows.
Even if she survives and the quest succeeds, how many casualties will she leave in her wake?
I love action adventure but it doesn't make me happy unless there are...body count, blood, and blowing things up. I play with mad skills at coding HTML and website design and live in a log cabin in the woods with fifteen acres, an old apple orchard, and a pond full of bass though I'd rather buy fish at the grocery store. I share my domain with a husband, and two cats who think I'm the waitstaff!
in giving surge this rating i've left open the way for the next reader to either like or dislike the book...the story is seemingly geared towards a readership of older teens and younger adults...I enjoyed reading surge...I enjoyed the time Bodhi spent inside the mountain and especially the way...but that would give away part of the danger...a must read for any age to enjoy...
Surge is a novelette that comes before Storm. It is really helpful if you read it before you read Storm! I didn't realize that it was available until after I read storm and it filled in some spaces after I finished Storm. I enjoyed this story as much as I enjoyed all of the stories in this series. Although this isn't Christian fiction, which is what I generally read, this is clean fiction which I appreciate very much.
