And what I want is Ashley. The girl I drove right into Hayes’ arms. The girl who is no longer interested in me at all.
But I have a secret weapon. Talia Smith, Hayes’ ex-girlfriend, who wants him back as much as I want Ashley.
It doesn’t matter that our kiss is what broke up Talia and Hayes in the first place. The same kiss that ruined my relationship with Ashley. Because even though we screwed up, we’re going to work as a team to get what we want. By pretending to be together, we’ll make Hayes and Ashley realize what they’re missing.
But things don’t go the way I plan. Pretty soon, the only thing I’m pretending is that I’m not falling for Talia.
Because I am.
Suddenly, what I care about most is proving to Talia that my feelings for her are genuine. But I know that will be difficult, since I’m the guy who always plays dirty.
Amber Garza has had a passion for the written word since she was a child making books out of notebook paper and staples. Her hobbies include reading and singing. Coffee and wine are her drinks of choice (not necessarily in that order). She writes while blaring music, and talks about her characters like they're real people. She lives with her husband and two kids in Folsom, California, which is also home to another Amber Garza.
This book series was one of my favorite! I don’t find many series I love like I love this one!! I read all 4 books in a week because I loved it so much!!! ❤️❤️
What a great way to end this series... we get Josh and Talia's story. These are two of the most unlikeable characters from the previous books and somehow I ended up loving them too. Also hopeful that we will get a future glimpse into their lives at some point. So, in Play Nice... Josh is with Ashley and Talia is with Hayes, until Josh and Talia are caught kissing at a party. Now Josh and Talia are longing to be back together with their exes and devise a plan to get them back by faking a relationship with each other. They have to convince their family and friends that they are a real couple in hopes for their plan to work. Throughout this book, you get to see the softer side of these two and understand what's happened in their lives that have lead them to afraid of real relationships.
I'm so sad that this book is over. That this was the end to the series. I loved Josh. I loved how he changed. Even when he was kinda jerky I sort of got it. I was expecting a little bit more of drama involving his father and new GF but at the end was really sweet.
Maybe in a near future we will get more of this. Can't wait! It took me long to start reading this book. At first I wasn't convince I wanted to read it at all. Now I'm glad I did.
