Mike and Peter are asked if they would like to help in a cattle drive at Don Taylor’s ranch. Mike is all for it while Peter isn’t interested. When Peter finds out they don’t have a cook for the cattle drive, Mike talks him into helping out. Peter is a gourmet cook not a camp cook. Peter finds out Jason, Jimmy, Simone and Cindy along with two dogs and two cats are also going. That turns Peter into Panic mode.
Don Taylor and the other ranchers are losing cattle to rustlers. Mike and Peter decide to help Don find out what is going on. Will they survive the cattle rustlers and the cattle drive? Let the fun begin.
This is not a cliffhanger story! It is a complete cozy mystery story full of the escapades of Mike and Peter, FBI agents along with their friends who like to have fun.

If you enjoyed Bonanza, The High Chaparral - then this for you

Terrific read. Don already has the two FBI men coming to help with the cattle drive but now he needs more help. Someone is rustling his cattle! The four teens eagerly offer their help and arrive with the dogs and the cats. Mix in a shooting, missing neighbours, neighbouring ranches missing cattle two and a determined desperado group. Will they be able to stop the rustlers? Will they find not only the missing cattle but also the missing people? A wonderful plot filled with humour and a terrific storyline. I particularly loved the attack cats and when the four animals take on the mountain lion. If you have ever enjoyed Gunsmoke, Bonanza or The High Chaparral or anything similar you are going to love this.

Fantastic book poor Peter gets it again but pulls through in the end.

Cattle drive and Don needs all the help he can get. He has Mike and Pete from the FBI coming. Then the 4 teens, dogs and cats, and Peter love for cooking went to zero. Someone is stealing a lot of cattle so far, fifty in each area, and now with Charlie being shot at, a dangerous game began. It wasn’t going to be a vacation Peter said. Poor Peter who doesn’t like to get dirty. A neighbor and her son are missing. Join the fun and the laughs as they figure out what is happening.

Here We Go Again

I just started to read this wonderful series all over again. I miss having new books to read about all of the things that have happened to Mike, Peter and all their friends. I can’t stop laughing at everything that happens to them.

A quick fun read

Whilst I enjoy the adventures of Mike and crew the books sadly don't read that well. The story doesn't flow like it could do if more time rereading it was done. A few grammar errors show proofreading is needed. Otherwise it's OK
