It was a decent quick read. I don't know what in particular bothered me. Some of the situations were to convenient or just occurred without explanation. I thought the concept of the Buhta was unique making it different than most of the horror novels out there that play on the same old theme.

Harry Shannon's Daemon: Night of the Daemon is a top-notch action thriller that slyly seques into the horror realm as the mystery unfolds. Although it doesn't so much "unfold" as come at you like a Mack truck along a deserted road at midnight, lights flashing and horn blaring. This is one of those books that keeps you turning pages way past the time you'd planned to turn off the light, and you finally quit only when the words are going in and out of focus and dancing around in front of your eyes.

It's an exciting and scary read told with the sure-footed prose of a master!

I just had a hard time getting into this book. It did finally pick up for me near the end. It was just okay for me.
