When New Found Glory first started a simple, messy, photocopied piece of paper was the way in which we would tell people about our local shows. Never could we have imagined that such a simple lost concept would now serve as the visual spark to reignite a lost memory. Stories Of A Different Kind is a storybook, but not a beginning to end narrative. It's a visual journey through a time period that pre-dates social media and blogs: a time that newer fans might not know had existed and older fans can look back on and reminisce.

I got this book a few years ago at the New Found Myrtle Beach show. I was wearing sandals and a stuffed book in my hoodie. I slept on the beach, drove back to see Natalie in Durham at noon. It was an awesome show

I loved this book, I love reading about the scene. I love reading books about things that I love. It was so cool to look at all the flyers. I was looking at the other bands on the bill and where they played in NC.

New Found was a legitimately big band. They were on tours playing in front of 20,000 people. They eventually headlined some of those tours. They did a 2001 summer tour headlined by Blink. They were second billed. That was a huge boost for them.

He was never mentioned and there are no pictures of him. He has really been erased from the bands history.

I loved all the stories. New Found has always been a rather wholesome band with good dudes. There few a stories of booze and weed but nothing crazy.

I wish the book was longer and that there more photos. The book contains few photos, so it feels disconnected. I flyers don’t seem as personal next to the stories. What was cool about the photos is how many of them had directions to the venue. There were flyers that had directions from four directions.

I would love more books like this. I am going to seek out more books about the scene, the oral history was one of my favorite books from last year.

Bought a signed copy at a concert and had to read it as soon as I got home. I loved the stories and the flyers. My only complaint was that there should've been more pictures. Specific pictures were mentioned in some of the stories but there were no picture available to reference. For a band that's been going for the last 20+ years, I expected more pictures mixed in with all the flyers.

I’ve had this book for a few years now but hadn’t found the right time to read it yet. I’m really glad I finally read it. I enjoyed reading their stories, and looking at all the old posters from past shows and tours. It was very sad reading the stories written by Chad in particular and seeing what a good person he was. The world sure did lose a good one. R.I.P. Chad. 💔

Got this a while ago when it first came out. I just found it again on my book shelf the other day. It’s a great collection of stories from the guys, and photos from over the years. I think my favorite part is the old show flyers, they really take my back to my youth.
