Everything in Laurel’s life is going along smoothly and she is content, until she goes to see a hypnotist for secession regression therapy. The inexperienced hypnotist accidentally opens a window to the past, triggering memories of betrayal, loss, and the pain of murder; memories better forgotten. Overwhelmed with other peoples’ lives and deaths bombarding her thoughts, all Laurel wants is to go back to the way her life was before, yet getting back to normal feels impossible. Bad enough that she is flooded with dreams and fragmented memories of other lives, now her own life is falling apart around her. Everyone hopes to find out that they were Cleopatra in a former life or maybe even learn that once they had known their soul mate. But reality is often not so sweet.
