Hybrid Varius has found his other half in Lena, a nurse he rescued from the crazed fanatic Reverend John. Still suffering from her attempted murder at the hands of John and his men months prior, a relationship is the last thing on Lena’s mind. When Varius is sent to help Lena pack up her things at her old place, he might have the chance to convince her that he’s the man she needs. Lena can’t seem to get her emotions under control. One second she’s panicked over the idea of leaving the lodge, the next she wants to tear off the clothes of the super-sexy hybrid. A trip back to her parents’ place offers the emotionally battered woman a chance at recovery. Unfortunately, spending time around a hybrid makes Lena a target, both of a ratings-hungry reporter and an old dangerous foe of the lodge. Varius only wanted to convince Lena that she could love him. Now he’ll have to save the woman he loves or risk losing her forever.
Madison currently lives with her husband and two children in the Valley of the Sun. Phoenix, Arizona. After leaving the frozen tundra of the north, Madison was more surprised than anyone with how much she has enjoyed living in the desert. Seeing as she had stated on more than one occasion how much she hated the heat, it was an odd move. But it seemed her hatred for sub-zero temps and ice, or really the things that ice could do, won out in the end. When she’s not writing, she’s enjoying time with her family. Madison and her family frequent festivals in the area, as well as local cultural events, and spend time with family in the area. In the summer she is most likely to be found in the pool with the family and in the winter by the fireplace. Since both her children are autistic, days can be a little chaotic but with her husband beside her, there’s nothing she can’t handle. Luckily he is also an author and able to share in all the activities (and chores) special needs kids require. Madison has a full schedule of releases planned for 2014 listed and updated on her blog: http://madisonstevens.blogspot.com/ Newsletter Sign-up: http://eepurl.com/OX9r5
I have enjoyed most of the Luna Lodge Books. And this wasn't too bad. I was happy that Madison Stevens spent time on the sex scenes and made them more detailed and exciting. I just felt like the story was a bit flat. So just another semi enjoyable quick read in the Luna Lodge series
I'm so glad that cultist John was taken care of. He was so crazy and he just bothered me no end because he gave real Christians a bad name. I think the scariest villains are not the intentionally evil ones, but the crazy ones because you never know what they'll do next. Another story well done.
Varius is amazing and so sweet, I loved the way Lena's parents were with him, this book was filled with romance as well as action and like Madison's other Luna Lodge books you just can't wait to start the next one.
I would have enjoyed this much more if it wasn’t for how annoyingly stereotypical the reporter lady was. She legit annoyed me any time she came up. I really loved seeing some family interactions and wish it focused more on that.
So glad to see Reverend John finally get his just rewards. He was more of a false prophet than the prosperity preachers you hear on the radio. Luna lodge is a very enjoyable series. Each book introduces another hybrid and their Vestal or mate. I don't do spoilers so you'll have to read it yourself to see what happens.
