If you are looking for a brief introduction to this type of diet and detox and do not want to read a lot this is your kind of introduction. The author delivers the absolute basics of each concept very clearly. He includes a short list of foods that are acceptable for keto, and others that are to be limited. There are not a lot of recipes. It is just short and sweet information to get you started and what to avoid. I gave him 4 stars because I felt he could have elaborated a little more in a few areas.
This was one of the best diet books that I've ever read. It thoroughly explained what you can eat on this diet. You can enjoy a lot of great food and you don't have to give up a lot. The question is is does it really work?
Having read a few books now on Keto Diet I found key information missing. The one I would say is essential is a keto calculator to monitor your macros which is also not addressed. Short on tips, ideas and direction. Only gave a 2 because what information given does seem accurate.
Very informative books. We all need to take stock in what we put in our body's. Not just for weight loss, but for what we are doing to our body. I started reading up because of medical tests I am having. Things are easy to give up for one's health.
Researching to cut sugar and refined carbs to lessen inflammation all these books have inside but with my nut allergy I can't use any of their milk or flour options
