At first, I was confused about whether or not I should read The Arraignment first — because on the first page it says:
“So far, you should have read Please Catch My Soul, Pointe of No Return, From His Rib, In Love with a Brooklyn Thug 1–3, The Christ Family, and Stranger In My Eyes.”
That made me think I was already behind! 😩 But after checking FantasticFiction.com (which lists Nako’s reading order), I realized The Arraignment is meant to be read first, as the prequel to Please Catch My Soul. And honestly, I’m so glad I did because everything that happens here takes place the day before the court scenes in Please Catch My Soul. It sets the tone perfectly and makes all the chaos that follows make sense.
From this point, I’ll be continuing in this order: 📚 1️⃣ Please Catch My Soul 2️⃣ Pointe of No Return 3️⃣ From His Rib 4️⃣ In Love with a Brooklyn Thug 1–3 5️⃣ The Christ Family 6️⃣ Stranger In My Eyes
Then I’ll continue through the rest of The Underworld series as listed below:

This is my first stop into the Underworld and I must say that I enjoyed the glimpses of each member as they go through the mental process of facing federal charges. Everybody is feeling the pressure and the heat! Nako also gives us glimpses into the lives of the President, Prosecutors, Govenor, Mayor, and Legal teams as they race against the clock to prepare for the biggest case in history which will take place in the next 24 hours. I gave the book 5 stars because each chapter has you on the edge, anticipating what’s next. This book is a thrill ride for sure.
The underworld is not a lifestyle it's a family. The greater of the good was always the motto. With precision and focus nothing was going to get them Down. Things change ,people change but the hope is that loyalty is forever.
I loved how this book updated you and gave back history. Add some new characters and bam it's a hit. I have to find the snitch. It's looking me.
I love the fact that 12 other characters were added I can't wait to read the story from the other point of view! I can really see this being a tv series one day! Keep pushing Nako God isn't done with you and what you're doing just yet
The new characters are bringing some new insights to the series. Can't wait to get the answers to the cliffhangers that had me wanting more. Can't wait for next book. Great job Nako
Thank you for the break down. And my certified reference ebook. Nako I see the new character you are doing your thing. This is like a an intense game of WHO DUNNIT LOL. AWESOME THANK YOU
I’m getting so antsy, who is going to prison? Is it bad i hope everybody somehow get off!!! I don’t even want Nasir mean self or Papa crazy butts to go to prison even though technically they all deserve to go, Sasha, Meko, Lo, MJ, Sean , My poor Malachi heck even Mena and PoLo lol but jorydan ( judge wife bestie) has some friends in high places, so does Miko (president )and Lo (baby daddy)and i hope that helps EVERYONE
This was my first read by Nako, but definitely won’t be my last! This book is labeled as a prequel, but it falls within the middle of The Underworld series. Based on other reviews, I went ahead & read it first before starting The Underworld series. This book has me anticipating diving into this world cause I’m definitely wondering what went wrong 😅 I’m excited to learn about all the characters that were discussed in this book.
I’m my my nobody in the underworld is supposed to die or get killed that why it took me for ever to read this book I completely skip over it an read everything else and now I’m kicking my ass for doing so it is good with a fuck up cliff hanger so I have to read the other one.I NEED TO KNOW WHATS GOING TO HAPPEN Ima just say Nako you a BEAST my grl
Reading the Arraignment after reading the first 4 books of the Underworld gave me so much more perspective. It was in the back of my mind from the prologue but this really hit me hard after getting to know the characters. I swear it should be a movie or a tv series!
I am new to this series so wanted to read the Prelude, I can tell this series is going to be a wild ride just by reading this prelude. So many characters to meet and learn. From this read it appears there's a snake in the camp, who will it turn out to be! Looking forward to reading all the novels in this series!
I had to go back and read this book. I was all the way on book number 9 before I realized I was out of order, lol. But I had read most of it from the previous books. Surprised MJ got married.
I liked the introduction of new characters to this series. It will be interesting to see how they fit in with the underworld crew. I can’t wait to find out how the they got caught.
After all these years Lo still is and ass for Nas. She has long but want him. I’m interested to see how they got catch up. A lot I already know how it’s gonna end from read Nia’s story I’m still interested in the details
This one was very different from the rest. I felt like I was doing catch up on everyone. I want to know so much but now I have more questions. Can't wait to read the next book.
These characters have been truly developed. I have love hate for some and true hate for others. Reading this series makes you think you can start and run a freaking cartel. Lawd take the wheel!!
Things are getting intense and Wheww I’m ready dot more! This story is getting so good and I’m just ready to know the snitch already. Never thought things would go down like this but my Gawd this is good!
This was a peek into the lives of the Underworld members. A lot of questions were answered for me in this one. All of their different situations going on had me glued to these pages.
If I would have read this first, everything would have made more sense. ( I blame kindle and it's crazy suggestion methods). Now to jump back into the series.
This was a great intro to for the Arraignment. I could feel the emotions of the characters. I can’t wait to see what happens to them during the Arraignment.
I hope everything works out...I don't know what to think about this book. I wish Nas was there for Lauren. So much has happened, when will he stop and protect his rider?
I've been following this series but after reading this I feel like I missed something. When did Noel get married and have kids? When did Lo meet the DA and get pregnant? What book was that? Anyway, I liked reading about the people who would be taking The UNderworld down. I'm left hoping MJ makes it and how is Lo sleeping with the enemy? I'm surprised how the men of The Underworld seem to be bitching up more than the women. Didn't they know this was coming sooner or later? I'm about to start The Arraignment 2. They can't go out like this. I was hoping they all got to retire. BTW, I think Polo and Mina did this because Nasir took over and cut them off. They did put him on and he got too big. I'm just sayin.
