Ashes Will Fall
Nick Ruben is a man that has it all. That is until his wife and children are murdered in cold blood due to a mistake made by Anthony Lazo, his best friend. Miami-Dade County S.W.A.T. Christian Jones teams up with Ruben to hand out their version of vigilante justice against the drug czar Juan Chavaz, a man that has played havoc on both of their lives.
A local news reporter Heather Gil is basking in the love and affection of her Miami audience. Be patient with the beginning of this book because midway, it becomes hard to put down! Excellent job by James. Well written with great insight. You can tell he put his heart and immense knowledge into this book. Loved it!

James M. PatrickJames M.Patrick brings a great sense of reality and authenticity to his characters in Ashes Will Fall. The readers connect and get lost in the characters of the story.
I found "Ashes Will Fall" a great Political Thriller that kept me wanting more. The use of his language throughout the book helps the reader understand the authenticity of his characters and their connection with each other.
Most note worthy this Political Thriller transforms the reader into the lives of the characters. Consequently keeping the reader wanting more until the end.
Ashes Will Fall gave me a full range of emotions as I sat on the edge of my seat in shock, other times sad and happy. I highly suggest to get the first book in this series and look for his other books Rudy's Rangers. Ashes Will Fall (Firebirds Book 1)Rudy's Rangers: Warm Welcome

This was a truly thrilling book. It has so much information and so many different outlets. At first there seemed to be a lot going on but once the story got going it was so captivating. I found myself wanting to read and finish because I had so many questions. Since there were about 4 different stories within the story and around 8 main characters I always wanted to know what was going to happen next. There's deceit, corruption, murder, souls loss, past histories, current friendships, and love. There is so much to say about this book but I hate giving away spoilers. I'm not usually a reader of military or government thrillers but I'm so happy I read this book. It was beautifully written for all types of readers. The love story and past history is truly heart wrenching. The murder and corruption was captivating and held your attention the whole time. The government deceit was very realistic. I can't wait to read the next book.

A Thrilling Read
Ashes Will Fall follows the events of several people whose lives are woven together by fate in a thrilling tale of death, deceit and revenge. James' characters are incredibly well developed and the events that take place weave all their separate stories together beautifully. I was fond of Christian Jones's character, finding his determination and grit admirable, even if his methods were a bit shady! The plot follows an interesting and action packed plot leading to a climax that kept me reading well into the night all in pursuit of the books antagonist Chavez.
George Mitchell's story runs alongside the Chavez plot, providing hints and subtleties towards the series future. Safe to say I can't wait to read the sequel.
It was great to see Rudy again, who is one of the leading characters in James M Patrick's Rudy's Rangers series. Another strong favourite in this story.

What an excellent book! Slow in the beginning but don't give up. It gets better! I could not put it down!! One of my new best writers!! Keep them coming
