Introducing a world of high adventure and dark secrets, where the days are filled with wonder and the nights are consumed by lust.
Lorelei, sixth princess of the Proserpian Tropic, is a mermaid. Or she used to be, until she awakens one morning to find herself captured and bound in the cabin of a strange ship, her tail replaced by two new, inexperienced legs.
Her captor, the capricious Captain Vine, wastes no time in introducing the confused young maiden to the sensations of living in the world above the water – and to her own hidden desires, the depths of which run far deeper and stronger than either of them first realize.
But when what should have been a simple layover for the lone pirate and her reluctant passenger goes awry, Lorelei is faced with a life-changing choice: will she cling to the safe and familiar world she's always known, or allow herself to be swept up in a rising tide of strange adventure and intense passion?
D.B. Francais brings you the first story in a series of erotic lesbian fantasy adventures, where worlds collide and love blossoms in many unexpected places.
READER ADVISORY: This story contains graphic sexual reference, mostly in the form of hot girl-on-girl action, including scenes of intense ravishment, light bondage, domination, submission, seduction, exhibitionism, and many related things of a soft and nubile nature.
If the thought of two or more women getting steamy in various states of undress does not appeal to you, please direct your attentions elsewhere.
There's not nearly enough lesbian mermaid fiction so imagine my delight when I discovered the Queens Runner series which not only features a mermaid but a sexy fae pirate to boot!
The story follows lonely fae Captain Vine who captures mermaid princess Lorelai in order to sell her scales for money. She falls into lust with our virgin beauty and soon seduces her, but Lorelai doesn't seem to unhappy with her enforced captivity and soon forms a strong bond wither her captain.
This is pretty well written and has an engaging story as well as strong characters to offset the smut. I loved the idea of mermaid scales being valuable to trade, haven't seen that before. I also loved Lorelai's nativity and yet strength which is well maintained throughout the story.
Also have to give bonus point for the gorgeous cover art which is what caught my attention before I even knew this was a lesbian pirate/mermaid swashbuckling romance. Really looking forward to the other three volumes.
So long as you are okay with the dubious consent issues in the first few scenes, O Captain, My Captor is actually a wonderful bit of erotic fantasy.
Lorelei, a beautiful mermaid and royal princess, awakens to find herself - quite literally - a fish out of water. Captive of the swashbuckling Captain Vine, she does not understand where she is, and cannot comprehend what is happening to her. There is an almost child-like innocence to her that is sweet, but could make some readers uncomfortable, especially as the Captain begins taking inappropriate advantage.
Accepting that this is a fantasy, I trusted in where things were going and found myself fascinated with how beautifully D.B. Francais describes her introduction to pleasure. Not only is Lorelei a mermaid and a virgin, but until the moment her drying tail magically splits into a pair of legs, she never had the equipment for pleasure. While Captain Vine definitely does take advantage of that innocence - I nearly died when she promised kissing her nether lips is a traditional greeting! - she is never cruel or mean-spirited. In fact, she takes great delight in introducing her mermaid captive to the concept of orgasm.
Fortunately, that sense of innocence is carried through the entire story, with Lorelei literally having no concept of what is around her. She has never experienced the human word, and many of the words that Captain Vine uses are pure gibberish to her. It is when the Captain comes to understand how deep her alienation is that the story really begins to move forward. Sure, Lorelei is still a captive, chained at the ankle to keep her from leaping overboard, but a friendship develops that allows their erotic escapades to move into the realm of something akin to BDSM romance.
This is not just a story of sex on a ship, though - it is a wonderful fantasy adventure with a real story behind it. O Captain, My Captor was an unexpected delight, and I do so look forward to the next three books in the series.
An entertaining short novel about a mermaid and her elven ship captain abductor. Captain Vine is a lonely pirate with her own magical ship the 'Queen's Runner' ( it comes when called and reacts to her commands in person) who is apparently fascinated by Lorelei,a mermaid princess of a deep sea kingdom. An overwhelming experience of losing her tail and gaining legs for the first time leaves our princess vulnerable to the captain's advances and being a patient caretaker of her new situation leaves these two in a torrid affair. Adventures in a human port get our protagonists in trouble when they try to sell her tail's scales and both end up in a dungeon awaiting justice. The methods that they use to escape are unusual but end up working well as our heroes sail off to further escapades. This is the first of at least five stories and if the rest are as unique they will be excellent reading. Worth checking out if this is your jam.
This is the first book in The Queen's Runner series. The cover warns it's lesbian erotica, however, this series is much more. A swashbuckling sea captain and a mermaid who's never experienced the surface world, the adventures ensue! What really pulls you in is emotional connection the author creates between the reader and the characters. Yes there is erotica but it's the story that kept me turning pages.
Nice original lines where Lei constantly has different perspectives of everyday objects. Also enjoy the idea of scales being valuable. Never sure why she doesn't just go back in the water and back out again to solve the captain's money issues.
