Scarlett Dawson... Her life stopped when she was in a car accident with her best friend six years ago.
The guy who ruined her life? He's spent the last six years in a coma, and now he's finally awake. Maybe now they can get some justice or answers as to why he crashed his car into them.
Scarlett is trying to finish her last semester of university so she can become a nurse and she's taken up some volunteer shifts at the athletic trainers office for extra practice, that's where she meets him.
Ryder Williams.
He's a thrower and a sprinter, and the most stubborn person she's ever met. He's forward and doesn't treat Scarlett like she's fragile, which is new to her since everyone is always walking on eggshells around her, and it's like a breath of fresh air.
But with the pressure of graduating, dealing with the guy who hit her and her best friend in court, and a million other responsibilities, can she go through with dating Ryder? What happens when graduation approaches?
I enjoyed reading this book. I loved how it was told in stages of present and past. It was like seeing a puzzle piece by piece come together and finally seeing the entire picture more clearly. This book is also in my favorite first person style from both Scarlett and Ryder point of views . The one thing I was disappointed about was that the preview of part 2 starts 4 years later. I would like to have seen more about there lives in those 4 years and the sudden added characters that I have no connection with was hard to grasp. I really look forward to reading the second book to see what happens next.
