Services Automation Robots and the Future of Work. Willcocks and Lacity

When Henry Ford started the assembly line the probably thought it would help them increase profits. I do not believe he nor others could have really imagined the wealth this model would create. The improvement in quality and ability to apply safety changes and esthetic changes lead us through the 20th Century. I am not sure they appreciated the bust years as we moved favtories/plants to resource rich environment where labor arbitrage ruled and ruined. Well as excited as I am to working with smart process automation I also have to look past the now and appreciate how disruptive smart process automation will be as we deliver services all the time through out smarter and smarter "bot" workforce. We are not going to talk birth rate control anymore than we did our factor assembly lines. We are going to have to appreciate the great opportunities this bring us is nit going to benefit those in poverty now. While it is going to offer opportunity it is going limit others.

I enjoyed the real examples, the reasonableness of the expectations and the timely insight of this book. Smart Process Automation is poised to explode in out work environments. There will be prizes for those that rapidly embrace it and maximize its ROI. All nee technology has proven this to be true.

An excellent into smart process automation. If you are going to be using, managing or are just looking at them this is going to add to your body of knowledge.
