About the author!

I was diagnosed with clinical depression after the loss of my mother, father and husband within three years of each other; all to cancer. 24/7 in-home care, coupled with the loss I felt, left its mark on my psyche.

Depression takes up a lot of my life. Reading and writing are the only things I have found that help (in connection with regular medication), even if only for a short time. To escape to a different world can make a big difference in my mood in real time.

To put things in perspective, when I was at my lowest point, I couldn't open mail, talk on the phone, or even drive to the store. Walls of sadness surrounded me. As they closed in, tears would fall. There didn't need to be a reason or trigger.

People ask me why I started writing. My answer is simple: I wanted to create a world into which other people with similar problems could escape. I wanted to share the one place that had helped me for many years.

I have always said that as long as one person finds a little bit of happiness out of my books, I am, in my opinion, an accomplished author. The same is true for every writer out there. Please don't ever let anyone tell you different.

I read books as well as write them and have visited the worlds many different authors have created. Those worlds not only make me feel better, but give me the strength to face real life again. I want to thank everyone who writes - I want them to know they are making a difference.

Thank you for reading and writing.

Over the course of six books, Willow has grown from unassuming teenager to probably one of the most powerful individuals in the universe. Which explains why just about everything that has happened leading up to Finding Balance, the conclusion of The Portal Prophecies series, revolves around her.

The intensity of Deadly Perceptions is ratcheted up even more in this book -- as well it should, since this is the climactic conclusion. King Cornelius' treachery, Cornost's plans, what exactly happens when Willow is finally reunited with her allies from the earlier books... everything is tied up in a neat little bow in Finding Balance.

That's not to say there aren't threads left over for potential future books, but Finding Balance wraps up Willow's journey with a finality that is often hard to achieve without resorting to drastic permanent measures. While I can appreciate, as a storyteller, the value of an unhappy ending, it's still nice to see happy endings on occasion.

Anything less wouldn't have been true to the series.

After all -- for all of the treachery and danger and doom The Portal Prophecies subjected Willow and us readers to, this was never the doom-and-gloom, nothing's-going-to-be-alright kind of series. There was always an underlying optimism in each book, the feeling that -- as bad as things might be in the moment -- they will be alright.

I'm glad the ending reflected that.

The only thing keeping Finding Balance from a five-star rating? The climactic battle comes a little too soon, leaving an ending that sort of meanders through wrapping up ancillary plot points. But that's a minor quibble for what is a fantastic ending to a terrific fantasy series.

Finding Balance was the ending The Portal Prophecies, and it was a fitting end to the amazing journey C.A. King took us on.

The Portal Prophecies: Finding Balance by CA King is the final installment of her The Portal Prophecies. I highly recommend that you read the previous five books in this series as it will give you background information and also these books have picked up where the previous has left off. This story is full of action, suspense and mystery. One of my favorite things about this author is her creative writing style and the development of characters. This series has taken you on many journeys and in this book, they will take you on one more. This story will pull all the details you questioned together for answers. Find out if Willow will be able to bring back balance to the realms.

Right now the cards are stacked against Willow. The two evil kings seek her destruction, The Department of Secrecy wants to imprison her, the memory potion has everything in disarray and on top of all of that, she is not sure how many allies she has left. Will she be able to over come the odds and bring balance back to the realms? It all comes down to one battle, winner takes all, who will remain standing at the end?

In each of the books in this series, we have watched Willow and her friends grow from teenagers to individuals. They have grown into powerful characters but will Willow be able to find the balance that is needed? I fully enjoyed watching Willow and friends grow into who they become in this story. They have had trial and errors but I think that they learned from each of them. They have had to learn who they could trust and make new friends along the way. In this story Willow finds out who her allies really are. This story also gives us a conclusion to Willows story. I for one hope that maybe there will be more from a few of the other characters. They were a great support to Willow. The events that lead up to the final battle will leave you sitting on the edge of your seat just waiting to see what will happen. Will there be a happy ending to this story? Will it be possible that Willow will survive the cards that she has been dealt?

I am sad to see this series end as it was one that kept you wanting more from the characters. They kept you reading page after page. I can't wait to see what CA King has for us next. C.A currently lives in Ontario, Canada with her two sons, she was born and raised in Halton County. After losing her parents and husband, she turned to writing and after some soul searching it has become her passion. She was able to put her emotions on paper and started publishing her stories. You will enjoy her characters and her attention to detail in this book. This story will keep you engaged from the first chapter on. It will keep you wanting to see what is behind every corner of every page. You will want to see Willow succeed after watching her struggle throughout all six books. I highly recommend this book as you will want to see if Willow will find the balance and succeed

Finding Balance is the sixth and final story in ‘The Portal Prophecies’ Series by C.A King. Wow, I can’t believe this epic series has come to a close. I have really enjoyed following Willow (and her friends) on their adventure and I am a little disappointed that we won’t get to explore more of the wonderful world and characters that Ms. King has created. This has been a bittersweet read for me, getting closure to the story was great, but saying goodbye not so much.
This book is part of a series and really shouldn’t be read as a standalone, as you would miss a lot of the information, backstory and character details that will give you a deeper and more enjoyable reading experience, not just of this book but of the entire series in.
As we discovered right from the beginning of the journey in ‘A Keepers Destiny’ that Willow discovered her abilities, and as the series has progressed her abilities have also developed. In the first book her world comes under threat, so Willow and a group of her friends set out on a quest to save all of existence. Along the way she has discovered more than she could ever have imagined; not just about herself, but about her world, of magic, of love, and of all of existence. We learn about the ancients, the guardians, the portals, all the different realms, the evil king/s, discover a whole lot of different races and beings and make new friends (and some enemies) along the way. The whole journey begins and ends with all the predictions contained in a book called The Portal Prophecies, which help willow and her friends on their quest. The prophecies are the key to their success and survival. Each story in this remarkable series will have them deciphering a new prophecy, which will help them progress towards their end goal.
As we begin this story we find that Willow has many difficulties to overcome; there are two evil kings who are seeking destruction; then The Department of Secrecy is gunning for her imprisonment; the memory potion has left everyone in a state of confusion; and she doesn’t have many allies left that she can rely on.
Everything hinges on one final battle, which will see the winner take all. This exciting story will have you on the edge of your seat cheering Willow on, hoping that she will find a way to overcome the odds that are stacked against her, and somehow bring much needed balance back to the realms? So, who will be left standing after all is said and done…. After following along throughout the series we finally get all the answers we’ve been looking for and personally witness all the excitement, as Ms. King wraps everything up.
Finding Balance is the perfect way to end to the series, and is one of my favourite reads of the entire series. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Ms. King produces next.

Thank you Ms. King!

Finding Balance is the wonderfully satisfying conclusion to C. A. King’s 6-part The Portal Prophecies series, which I have been absolutely loving reading over the past couple of months. I’d totally recommend getting into this series - you’ll want to start with A Keeper’s Destiny for it to all make sense.

The premise of Finding Balance is very much established in the previous book - Deadly Perceptions. Willow has two major enemies to face up to, with the added pressure of trying to avoid getting stuck in what seems to have been an endless cycle of prophecies. She has a vast array of allies, but many have been weakened by the events of the previous books. With the scale of the final battle, they must also overcome their differences and suspicions to work together. Sacrifices are made - some greater than others.

Finding Balance has so many exciting fantasy elements. There’s a huge variety of magical creatures, references to an assortment of folklore and mythology and a wonderfully developed magic system. I was reminded at times of many of my favourite fantasy stories, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Lord of the Rings.

It was great having so many characters from the earlier books return in this final story. A few of my favourites barely got a mention, which was a shame, but many others were highly involved in the adventures. I’m excited also to see that, although Willow’s story has come to an end, there are more stories to come telling of the further adventures of some of her friends. The Surviving The Sins series is already two books in and I’m looking forward to seeing more of a character who very much grew on me over the course of The Portal Prophecies.

I give this book five out of five stars. If you’ve read the rest of the series, you should definitely read this last book! I found it a very satisfying conclusion, whilst still leaving space for more stories to come, and thoroughly enjoyed reading it. This is not the place to start if you’re new to the series, but having read the whole series now I can strongly recommend reading The Portal Prophecies from the start if you enjoy Young Adult Fantasy. It’s really a fantastic series with a great cast of characters and well developed fantasy elements. I’ve had a great time reading it!

Finding Balance is Book Six in The Portal Prophecies Series. None of the books are standalone as each book continues on from where the previous books finish. Each book is based on a different prophecy and the entire series, delves deep into the understanding of magic and self-discovery, all the while questioning the right versus wrong equation on personal levels.
Readers will find some new explanations for old tales, myths, legends, folk lore and unusual phenomena that could just make them question the validity of stories we all have grown up with.
The cards are stacked against Willow. Two evil kings seek destruction; The Department of Secrecy wants to imprison her; the memory potion has everyone in disarray; and she is running low on allies. Can she overcome the odds and bring balance back to the realms? It all comes down to one final battle - winner takes all. When it's all said and done, who will be left standing? This epic conclusion to The Portal Prophecies series will provide all the answers readers are itching to know.
In the final book of the series everything revolves around Willow. She discovers even more things about herself as Willow and her past ‘selves’. Will she discover at last what happened to her parents? Can she be reunited with her mother? As everything is coming to an end will she manage to find and restore balance to the universe?
In Finding Balance Willow realises who she truly loves and is able to commit to him but is it Lance or William? Find out too why Mike, Gavin and others are compelling attracted to Willow. There is a happy ending but you will have to read the book to discover it.
The final book in the series is a short book and the final battle seems to be over rather quickly but all loose ends are gathered together in a final ‘knot’ ensuring the end is truly the end. Some of the lesser characters themselves embark on a quest and they are followed in another book. Throughout this book (the same as the others) there is a sense of hope and the insistence that justice will be done and good will overcome evil. Finding Balance is a fitting end to the series and you won’t be disappointed. A masterful series of books by C A King.

The deciding battle is upon them. If Willow and her allies do not win then the consequences will be catastrophic. But even if they do, things will never be the same again.

I have both dreaded and looked forward to reading the final book in The Portal Prophecies series. I have dreaded reading book six because that would mean the end of a fantastic adventure, but at the same time, I could not wait to find out what would happen to Willow and her friends. Like the other books in the series Finding Balance (The Portal Prophecies #6) by C.A.King did not disappoint. I was gripped from the beginning, and I simply could not put the book down until I had finished. I must admit there were moments when I was shouting "NO!" at C.A King, and I burst into tears!! This is how much I have grown to love the characters in this extraordinary tale!

Lots of loose ends are tied up in book 6 and a few of these 'loose ends' I did not realise where loose ends until the end!! I know that makes no sense, but if you read this fabulous series from the beginning to the end, then you will know exactly what I mean.

As before I loved the characterisation of Willow. This series is very much her story and the people she meets along the way. In each book she continues to grow as a character. I really enjoyed reading about her. William is also worthy of a mention in this book. He struggles with what he did when he was under a memory spell, and he is determined to make it up to Willow and the people whom he cares for. And as for Lance... I can't even speak right now without a lump forming in my throat when I think about him. He really wriggled into my heart in this series, and I was heartbroken when he... No, I am not going to give away any spoilers!!

The world in which The Portal Prophecies is set in is very real in the telling — think Lord of the Rings meets Harry Potter. I loved it.

If you are looking for quality fiction for the young adults in your life, then you cannot go far wrong with C.A Kings The Portal Prophecies series.

I Highly Recommend.

The Portal Prophecies: Finding Balance by C. A. King is the sixth and final installment of The Portal Prophecies series and a five star novel. Please read the series from start to finish as the events in this book are definitely a result of the things that have happened in the other five books. Willow and her friends are at it again. Even though some of her friends are no longer with her. She sometimes feels like she shouldn't have friends at all because they are always the ones that seem to get hurt. While she is feeling a bit sorry for herself, she knows she must have this final battle between her and the two evil kings. She doesn't know how she will do it or how even to find them but she knows she has to try or else everyone she knows will be in danger. Lots of things have happened and she knows she is the only one who can do it. She leaves everyone else at the camp and wanders into town by herself. Hopefully Pewterclaw will have some answers for her that she needs before going into battle. Her feline friends that are with her all the time try to reassure her that she is stronger than she thinks but Willow has a hard time believing it since she is all in her own to figure this one out. Meanwhile back at the camp, William is trying to figure out what is going on. He has lost some of his memories and cannot help right what is going on at the camp without the, filling back in. How can he call himself the leader of the camp if he can't help get back those members that ware missing. As Malarchy tries to fill him in on the memories he has lost, he can't believe what he has been through but can't believe it even more that he doesn't remember all he has been through. He must find a way to make it up to everyone and fix his mistakes. As the closing chapters to the series happen in this book, you will find it suspenseful until the very end.

Finding Balance is the sixth and last book to The Portal Prophecies written by C.A. King and a wonderful ending to this fantastic series. Just like the other books in this series it does not disappoint. There are plenty of twists and turns, plots, death and survival. This is certainly not a standalone book and you must read every book before to understand this world and the wonderful characters that C.A. has woven.

We find everything coming to a head with the usual suspects Willow and her sidekicks. The final battle is coming and Willow must do everything to stop Cornelius and Cornost. Two evil men who want to conquer the worlds and destroy everything and everyone in their paths. Will must awaken the last of the ancient trees before it’s too late and everything and everyone she holds dear is destroyed. Whilst Willow is racing against time to do everything she can we see the other characters coming to grips with the evil that left them ensnared with no memory of what happened to them and their friends. Along the way Willow finds out exactly who she is and who is on her side and who is not. She also finds out the meaning of love and that true love means selfless sacrifice even though it breaks her heart.

Will Willow find a way to reconcile with long lost friends and family? Will they be taken away before she gets a chance to see them? Will the final battle mean the loss of loved ones? Will Willow loose the one person she loves with all her heart? Will friends be foes and will foes be friends. Can Willow ever overcome the loss she has had to endure?

All in all, this is series for any age and I would recommend it to one and all. I look forward to reading all the books I can from C.A. as she weaves worlds and realms that take you away and yet you feel like you are in it with them every step of the way.

Finding Balance is the sixth and final installment of The Portal Prophecies series by C.A. King.

Willow has grown throughout this series into an incredibly powerful young woman who is so much more than anyone could have ever imagined. This final book bring us along for the final challenges and battles that are epic and beautifully written as are the first five books in this series. I came to realise during reading this book that Willow has truly completed the journey from a typical teenager who doesn't like the hardships she faces to a true heroine who faces some very hard challenges head on and sacrifices so much all for the sake of the world she is trying to protect and those in it who she loves.

While this is the final book in the series, I feel more could be added and explored as there are so many creatures and worlds that were only slightly explored and so many wonderful characters that I could get more involved with. It was a great ending to the series but very bittersweet for me as I did not want it to end!

This, like all the other books of the series, is wonderfully and epically written and the fantasy and world building is exquisite. Momentum is not lost and neither is attention to detail as can sometimes happen in a final series book. Even though things are dark, dangerous and desperate, there is still and air optimism and hope that keeps you hooked from start to finish.

A truly deserving epic ending to a fantastic series that I would love to see on screen and will definitely be reading again. I highly recommend this and the other books in the series to anyone who is a fan of fantasy and mythology with a edge. I also recommend other books by this author as I have read some other than this collection and have not been disappointed.

Finding Balance by C.A. King is the sixth and final chapter of the amazing Portal Prophecy series that has the power to keep you hooked from the first page of book one. I have been simultaneously anticipating and dreading this book because while I cannot wait to devour this in the same way as the others I dread doing so as it means the adventure is over.

’I pledge myself to you.’”

Everything is on the line this time for Willow. The prophecies have led her to where she is now, waiting for the final battle between her side and that of King Cornost and Atlantis. Everything has been building to this moment and now it is here Willow doubts whether she has led everyone in the right direction or if she will be doomed to repeat the same cycle that has been ongoing for a millennia.

’I accept your pledge for eternity.’”

With everyone strategically placed the fight is ready to begin. Sacrifices have been made and friends have been lost. But with everyone back on her side, all those she had thought irrevocably changed forever, surely she has everything she needs to win this final battle?

“A heart appeared midway up the trunk with their two names etched on it – a constant reminder of true love that could never be erased.”

This can only be described as a phenomenal ending to what has been an outstanding series. Each book building on the last and adding more and more to the story each time. The characters have developed throughout and really made sure to dig their way into your heart. Such a well written series this is definitely worth a read. It will leave you wanting more well after the final page has turned.

Finding Balance is the final book in the Portal Prophesies series and what a way to end! This book is full of action from beginning to end and I have thoroughly enjoyed the whole series.
At the start of this final book we find Willow alone and unaware of her friends’ fate. Some survived the terrible attacks in the previous book but some were not so lucky. Many are still suffering the effects of the mind altering memory loss potion too. The book containing the portal prophesies has gone and no one seems to know how or to where so Willow needs to work out what the final prophesy was about on her own in order to defeat it. A lot of mysteries are solved in this final book and I’m glad I saw the characters through to the end.
The final battle is well-written and dramatic, and the small reveals all the way through the book keep us guessing as to what will be happening next. As with all the Portal books this one is full of twists and turns. The reader can never allow themselves to be fully convinced of who are the good guys and who are the bad guys and I love that about this series. I liked the way that traditional fantasy characters were turned on their head and fictional/traditional tales were used as an inspirational base for some of the story characters. I am still amused by the evil Unicorns!
I am not sure these books could be read as standalone as it helps to have history from the previous story- each one follows on from the previous book with a short recap- but they would definitely appeal to fans of young adult fiction and of fantasy fiction looking for a series to get their teeth into. Thoroughly recommended!

Again, C. A. King comes through with a five star read in the Portal Prophecies -- Finding Balance.
One story ends. Fortunately, others begin. C. A. King continues her wonderful series with Portal Prophecies -- Finding Balance. I enjoyed this series for its detailed descriptions both of scenery and of characters. C. A. King does a terrific job of making her characters shine. The emotions these young adults go through add an extra dimension to Finding Balance. She describes the feelings of the characters in depth. The characters react in an appropriate manner to the things that are going on around them and within them. C. A. King has an amazing ability to convey those feelings from the pages of the book to the heart of the reader.
Her descriptions of the places her characters journey to and the people they interact with is wonderfully detailed. She manages to give each place a unique flavor and I was happily drawn into the magical worlds she created. The worlds were vividly created and meticulously built. I really liked the consistency with which C. A. King writes. She always delivers her best work. I love the care she uses to make sure the story continues to be engaging on all levels. Willow and all her problems are well thought out. The worlds C. A. King writes about are intriguing and the characters she puts in them with are engaging. In short, this is an amazing Young Adult series that any school library would be glad to put on its shelves. Thank you C. A. King for this story and this series.

I give Portal Prophecies: Finding Balance by C.A. King 5 stars.
*This review may contain spoilers from previous books in the series*

Willow has been up against some troubles before, but never like this. Her friends from the camp don’t remember her, she is being hunted by 3 different groups of people, and she is afraid to make friends for fear of losing them. She knows that there have been people that gone missing from the camp after the last fiasco, but she is terrified of knowing who they are. One the plus side she knows that she has also met some wonder people through her trials and tribulations!

Plus, she has finally decided whom she truly loves, but now it may be too late. There are two evil forces ganging up to take over, one world at a time. Can she convince enough people to stand up with her against this people? Will she be able to find all the trees and will they be able to help? And what of the things people have been saying about her? Could it be true?

This is a wonderful conclusion to an outstanding series! The characters, especially Willow, have progressed so much in the story, it’s incredible. Each book tackled something new and this one did not disappoint. Here is a book that will tug at all of your emotions. But it will so be worth it! Not only could I not put the book down, I do not want this series to end! If you enjoy fantasy, you will enjoy this series and this book.

Finding Balance by CA King
Stars: 4
Willow has overcome so many challenges and heartache to be where she is today. She has been strong and fierce. However, she has yet to face her biggest challenge. There are two evil kings who are seeking destruction of what Willow holds dear. Also, the Department of Secrecy continues to want to imprison her for fear of exposure. The memory potion is still affecting a lot of her friends, and they continue to have skewed memories of Willow. Therefore, her allies are scarce. She is facing one last fierce and difficult battle that will determine everything.
This is the sixth and final book in the Portal series. This series has of six stories to complete it. Each story is based off a different prophecy. This is not a standalone story, and would be enjoyed best if read in order. The series is interesting and entertaining. I was excited to see where this series would go next, and how this series would end. I was not disappointed with this story or this series. I was thrilled with the ending of this story. There were some sad and difficult moment for Willow. She continued to grow as a character throughout the series. She continued to grow throughout this story. The characters are well written and developed. This story flowed well and was engaging. This series is my favorite series from CA King. As a complete series, the Portal series interconnected well from book one to book six. These stories built all the way to the end.

The Portal Prophecies: Finding Balance by CA King is the six and likely final book in the young adult series The Portal Prophecies. This series has taken us from realm to realm and world to world giving us Ms King's unique take on folk lore, legend and myths . The books leading up to this have all been five star but this one should be on a scale all it's own . It is amazing. I loved every minute of the journey .We finally find out what is truly going on. Believe me you will love what you learn.
As with many of the other stories in this series we are introduced to new species and the battle to save our world and all the other worlds we have visited so far but this time we learn who each of the key characters are and why Willow is so special that this task rests on her shoulders. It is wonderful how King finally fills in the blanks and answers so many of the questions she left us wondering until this point. Now I personally would not read this book as a stand alone because there is so much leading to this point you would be doing yourself and the book a total deserves. Of course that is just my opinion.
And while this book appears to bring Willows story to an end I hope there will be more parts added to this story from other possibly other people's lives or how Willow came to be . Even some of her previous lives. Anything really. I think we just need more!

Finding Balance
by C. A. King
**5 Stars**

Finding Balance by C. A. King is the sixth and final book in The Portal Prophecies series. (fangirl for 5 seconds
OMG! OMG! OMG!) I feel bittersweet as we say goodbye to Willow and most of her friends. King has a couple spin off series coming. I'm super excited to continue on with a few of our favorite characters from this series but as far as I understand this will be the last book with Willow as the main character. King has the beautiful talent of writing multiple realms into one super megaverse and multiple storylines and they all fit perfectly together. Finding Balance ends exactly where Deadly Perception ended. Willow chooses not to know whose names are on the list of her lost friends. She believes it will help her keep your mind straight on the task at hand. She has a mission that only she can complete. When it comes for the final battle will Willow have all of her pieces in place to restore the balance?

After reading all The Portal Prophecies books and a few of C. A. King's other books I have realized that she is one of my top five favorite authors to read! She creates unique and beautiful worlds and is able to re-create old favorite tales from childhood. TPP are full of adventure, romance, friendship and magic. I can't wait to read what C . A. King has coming up next.

The Portal Prophecies: Finding Balance by C.A. King is the sixth and final book in the Portal Prophecies book series. I strongly recommend reading the books in order. They are a continual timeline in the story from book to book. This is the final story of Willow and her friends. There are two kings after Willow and bent on destruction. Willow has her final challenge and must succeed or total chaos will take over the different realms. The story explores Willow and her powers. She must find her balance in order to be powerful but also in control of all her powers. She has grown immensely in this series from a young, naïve teen to a young adult with strong powers. This installment had me on the edge of my seat and I knew I only had so many pages left to get all my questions answered. This made the book even more suspenseful for me while reading.
I have enjoyed this entire series. This has been a fun fantasy/magical filled series with lots of different characters and adventures. Willow has become a favorite of mine. I enjoyed watching her grow as a person and learn about herself in the time on the adventures. I also enjoyed the amount of detail and attention paid to the different details of the different locations. Overall, I enjoyed the story, characters, and everything involved. I am going to be on the lookout for more books from C.A. King and make sure to pick them up.

Finding Balance is the fantastic conclusion to a wonderful series. Seriously I cannot say enough how I will be reading this series again probably as many times as I have the Harry Potter books.
The final battle between Willow, Cornelius, and Cornost is coming and she needs to awaken the last ancient trees and enlist their aid before it’s too late. With the help of new friends and a rather unscrupulous former teacher, Willow races to secure every advantage she can for herself and those she loves before the battle begins. A few distractions show up along the way and dealing with the aftermath of the memory altering potion on the two men she loves most is draining every last bit strength she possesses and then some.
All of my lingering questions, and even some I didn’t know I had, were answered. That’s something I think is very difficult to do well in a book series of more than three and I was extremely pleased. The ending left one or two things hanging, which I believe will be the basis for another set of books and I cannot wait to get my hands on them!
All in all, this is a wonderful series for any age reader and I would recommend it to anyone. I look forward to reading it again to see what small parts I missed the first time around.

The Portal Prophecies: Finding Balance by C. A. King

At lass the final epic book by C.A. King is not one to leave you hanging. I STRONGLY suggest that you read the first 5 books before diving into this book.

We have watched Willow and her friends grow together into their bigger roles in the different realms. The cards are stacked against her. She is desperately trying to find the right balance to keep her going. She has two different Kings after her. She is being chased by the Department of Secrecy who wants her locked up. Everyone is under a spell. She needs to overcome all odds and bring back the peace to the realms. There will be one more major battle and all answers will be answered.

King has hooked me. Her writing skills are amazing and she brings the characters to life. She is a wonderful author and I cannot wait to see what she comes out next. Thank you C. A. King.

The conclusion to The Portal Prophecies series accomplishes what it needs to and more. From the final confrontation between Willow and her enemies, to the end of quests, to a few final shocking revelations. We get to see how the various challenges throughout the series set the stage for Willow and her friends to achieve what needed to be done. It wraps up several character arcs and also gives us a glimpse into arcs to come after the series ends. Aside from personally wishing for a scene to show Lance confronting his father, this was very much a great book in terms of wrapping up the series while leaving the door open for more adventures in this world that King has created.

The Portal Prophecies: Finding Balance
By: C.A. King
5 out of 5 stars

The story The Portal Prophecies: Finding Balance by C.A. King is a fantasy/mythology book. I remember when I first started reading The Portal Prophecies. From the very first book, I found myself lost in the continuing story and loving the characters of Willow and her friends. This series has led to this book, the final one. It is bittersweet as I want to know what the final outcome is, however, I don’t want to stop reading about the characters that I love. The beginning of this book finds Willow in the sights of two evil kings bent on destruction. Those in the camp affected by the memory potion are confused and trying to grasp what has happened. What is going to happen when the final conflict begins? Will Willow and those who fight with her be victorious? How does The Portal Prophecies end?

There are many changes that happen in this story and I found some of them were good, some bad, and some just plain shocking. This story answers the questions that have always been there and you come to see the enormity of both the situation that Willow is in and what an amazing person she is. She is a true heroine and has sacrificed so much. She has always pushed forward, even when it would have been easier to give up. She puts the needs of others before her own. All through this story, I found myself on pins and needles wondering what the outcome would be. I have read many fantasy series, however, I found this one to be a personal favorite. The way that the author has kept my attention through the entire series and how she makes the characters come alive is a testament to her amazing writing skills. Besides this series I have also read other stories she has written and have enjoyed each and every one. Come find out what the final outcome is for Willow and her friends. This is a book that you don’t want to miss!

The Portal Prophecies book 6: Finding Balance is written by CA King. The Portal Prophecies contains 6 books all of which are about different prophecies, life lessons and self growth.
As you watch Willow and her friends continuously fight for what is right can they conquer King Cornelius and what about King Cornost who seems to be a new formidable character.
This series was an addicting and entertaining read for me, I enjoyed it thoroughly. At first glance when I read about Willow I was intrigued by her, she was written in a unique way, full of sarcasm and self doubt. As the stories go you watch her learn her worth, learn who she really is. When its just her she has a a lot of time to think and that puts stuff into perspective for her. With so many things and people changing in her life its hard to know who to trust. With help from some unique allies Willow goes on her biggest adventure yet.
The best thing about this series is the wording, with this book are nearing the end, but does it really end? Just when you think its over you notice there is more spins offs coming. Shattering the effect of time, about the Shinning brothers and their quest to save Victoria and Surviving the sins another book ends up with Jade about the 7 Deadly Sins.

Starting a series with the last book probably isn’t the best idea, but it definitely makes me want to go back and read the full series (in the proper order. THE PORTAL PROPHECIES: FINDING BALANCE by C.A. King is the final book in the PORTAL PROPHECIES SERIES. This final book is action packed and the perfect conclusion to a series that involves all kinds of magical creatures.

Willow is fighting a war against two evil kings and attempting to save her world. She has suffered many trials and learned that in past lives she had done the same before. Willow has trusted guardians to protect and aid her while also seeking the guidance from her large group of friends. The kingdom was in recovery from an attack Half spider and half human woman that captured and attempted to feed. Everyone scrambles to make a speedy recovery while preparing to aid Willow in any way, shape or form that she might need from them.

C.A. King has filled this series with every possible magical creature a person could think of; there are dragons, fairies, vampires, and even gods. This magical element is an amazing aspect of this novel and without a doubt the series. I loved seeing how she in cooperated so many different creatures seamlessly into the story didn’t seem forced in any way.

This novel focuses on the relationship the Willow has with her friends and guardians. These tests they’ve had to face in order to fulfill the prophecies have forced them to grow up, and develop who they are as individuals. Each character has developed into their own best self and has learned a little bit more about themselves as some of their stories come to a close while others a beginning.

This book is a wonderful mixture of fantasy, romance, and mystery. Whether you have followed these characters from the beginning or joined in late to their journey, Willow and her gang will show what real friendship, love, and sacrifice looks like.
