~Books, wine and a spicy good time ~

DL Gallie writes spicy romance with elements of comedy and suspense. She currently lives in Central Queensland, Australia, her husband and two teenagers. She and her husband have been together since she was sixteen, and although they drive each other crazy at times, she couldn’t imagine her life without him.

Shortly after her son was born, DL began reading again. With encouragement from her husband, she picked up the pen and started writing. Almost ten years later and the voices in her head won’t shut up.

DL enjoys listening to music, drinking white wine in the summer, red wine in the winter, and beer all year round. She’s also never been known to turn down a cocktail, especially a margarita.

A story of self-preservation with twists and turns that you don't see coming. MacKenzie goes away on what should be the time of her life to finish her degree but it quickly turned into a nightmare. Jordan was that one flicker of hope in the darkness that MacKenzie endured. I didn't know how this story was going to turn out. Every time I thought I had it figured out I was shocked and heartbroken. Although some parts of the story made me sad I was left with a happy heart by the end of the story. I was quite impressed with this being DL Gallie's debut book. She has a way to write a story that will both engage you and capture your attention. I highly recommend this book. I can't wait to see what comes next from DL Gallie.

I'm not entirely sure how I stumbled upon Malt Me but I really enjoyed D.L Gallie's debut novel. There were some parts that were downright hard to read, because of their nature but I commend this new author for going for it. This book was as sweet as it was shocking.

I really enjoyed Kenzie. Her character was nothing if not resilient. She battled her way back from pain and trauma more than anyone her age should've had to. And to help her along the way was the sweet and charismatic Jordan. I really liked how much they just "got" each other. From their drink choices to life goals these two were on the same page all the way through their story.

I will say that I did find some of the dialogue a bit repetitive and some things were predictable. However, it all served its purpose and created a well rounded book. I can't leave out Jordan's best mate, Mike. This guy brought a much needed lighter side to the darker material of Malt Me. I am looking forward to his story in the near future.

Malt Me is a amazing debut book from D.L.Gallie, very well written the story flowed kept me gripped throughout.

Mackenzie Merlot ~ An amazing strong woman who has been through the worse horrors in life but with the help of her friends, love and fight comes out stronger.

Jordan McRoberts is a caring supportive sexy friend and lover, the type of guy who will be your best friend forever.

This story contains some shocking horrific situations, laughs, love, hot sexual scenes, strong friendship bonds and one hell of a story line that will leave you content but also wanting more follow on books involving the other characters.

A story revolved around alcohol-I am interested.

Jordan Roberts has always wanted to open a brewery. He loves everything there is about beer. So he is

Mackenzie Merlot is so excited to start the next chapter in her life-college. She was accepted into the School of Business Management. She is finally living on her own & is going to live life to the fullest.

Nothing like falling flat on my ass when I run into the hottest guy I have ever seen-Jordan.

Mac soon meets another guy- Clint MacNicholson. Shortly after they start seeing each other. Jordan and Mac has also become friends and Jordan just gets a bad vibe from Clint. It doesn't help he wants Mac too.

Is Jordan just jealous and wants Clint out of the picture or does Clint show his true colors to Mac?

Better yet, does the brewery get off the ground.

This was a nice first book for this new author and I look forward to the next book.

Beautiful, Heartaching, Romantic suspense

WOW for a debut novel i was on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen would she be ok. Mackenzie or Kenzie as she likes to be called thinks everything is great when she starts dating Clint through college but oh boy your in for a ride. I won't give anything away but there is twists and turns, suspence, hotness, sweetness, loving, caring and Heartache will Kenzie and Jordan get together and if they do will they get there happy ever after. The emotion and feelings you will go through is just extraordinary i felt everything that all the charcters went through and to me when an author gives me that it means so much the book is magical.

Warning - In this book you will read about sensitive subjects.

This story made me cry, mad, and at the same time proud. Proud of how strong Kenzi is. Her character is one that I can say I admired.

Many people would say how can you like or read a book about rape, but honestly DL Gallie builds strong characters that worked together to overcome obstacles that a lot of people wouldn’t.

Kenzie just wanted to experience college. She met the wrong guy and things turn. She is strong and her experiences only made her stronger. She overcame something that she will never forget. Jordan is an amazing man that I’m so proud of. He stuck with Kenzie through everything.

This is such a raw book and it will definitely tear you apart then put you back in together.

Okay people strap yourself in for this one, ladies and gents sit your pretty little behinds down and hold on to your glass of wine or bottle of beer in one hand and prepare to use the other to hit the armchair or seat wherever you're reading.
DL Gallie is masterful in creating a story that kept me on the edge of my seat and wanting more. It tears you open and closes you up better for this book.
Jordan is a Prince Charming and I know Kenzie is his Cinderella. They're meant to be and I love the suspense and rollercoaster ride this amazing woman takes her characters on... best thing is her characters sound real to me and I connect to them because they're like they are.

Loved-loved it
I will be re-reading this book

This debut from author D.L. Gallie shows a lot of promise. Her creative mind delves into some very dark places and messes with her characters in the most intriguing ways. Set against the world of brewing the story in unique and most definitely shows it's Australian roots. Mackenzie is a wonderful character, off to school to make a career for herself. Unfortunately she meets Clint in one of her classes before she meets her soul mate, Jordan. To say that Clint is nuts is an understatement. He gives Mackenzie more terrors than a haunted house. Jordan is her knight in shining armor and their journey is certainly bumpy.
This story has a lot of twists and turns, many of them violent and troubling. Ms. Gallie balances the dark with the light of the relationship between Jordan and Mackenzie. She also adds in a bit of humor with Jordan's best friend, Mike. The turns in the plot are surprising, but in the end this is a story of perseverance and survival of one's spirit. Keep a look out for the next book in the series, Mike's story is sure to be a treat.

This first book by D. L. Gallie was a journey of unfortunate events. Sometimes you meet people in your life who are not who they appear to be, the main character McKenzie was a student who met and dated a fellow student who was her partner in class projects, you have no idea what is ahead and it is a ride that happens and reading this is such an emotional ride, her experiences are things you only hope to read about. This book had moments that took your breath away sexually and physically. Thank goodness for friendships. Thank you D. L. Gallie, Can see many more books to come from this author, Cheers

this story is one that says love conquers all. Mackenzie goes through hell when all she wants is to go to school. Just when i thought i had this book figured out, this author would throw out another twist. My emotions were all over the place while reading this book, happy, sad, i threatened to throw my kindle even. I love the brewery idea, i have never read that in a book before and i thought it was quite unique. What a great first book for this author and i cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

The story line was really good, it kept my interest. However I did find it lacking in depth, and repetitive. I found myself skimming most of the adult scenes, they all seemed the same and for my taste they could have been fewer and further between. I did have to know how it ended, and I would like to get to know the other characters. I will be reading the next book just to see how Mike's life turns out. I loved the characters, and could relate to some of the relationships (besties). I am not sure if this was a debut novel or not, but it read like one. There is nothing wrong with that, at all. I just hope to see growth in the next books in the series :-)

Kenzie found herself in a relationship with Clint, a crazy obsessed sicko that wouldn’t take no for an answer. Their relationship was volatile. Jordan came in the picture permanently when he helped Kenzie recover. Jordan became her rock and strong support system. There were many twists that added to the story. Must read!

I really enjoyed this story. My first ever book, quite like it. I think the author did an amazing job taking some subject matters that are hard to talk about, much less write about and make it work phenomenally. There were some editing flaws, and some things a little repetitive, but over all the story works, and I really liked it. Looking forward to continuing the series.
