So ein toller Abschluss der Reihe! Hab ihn mir extra so lange aufgehoben wie es ging 🙈 die Geschichte von Mike und Hailey war nochmal erfrischend anders als die der ersten drei Paare. Es hat sich mal alles etwas langsamer entwickelt, was mir sehr gut gefallen hat, weil es einfach authentisch war. Und Hailey war so toll und Danica eine großartige Antagonistin 🙄😅 bleibt für mich nur eine Frage: Wo bekomme ich auch so einen Mike her? 🤔

Mike is like a book that I can't stop reading. And even if I finished - even I got to the very last line of the very last page - I'm pretty sure I'd want to read him over and over and over again.
I'm in love. I'm in love with Mike Madden. And with Hailey Harper. (Leti, too!) Let's just say that this is one of my favorite books ever - just in case the "read 10 times" didn't give it away.
Mike and Hailey are really awesome, they're perfect for each other and I hate everything that made life so difficult for them. Their story is full of ups and downs, you find yourself crying and laughing, so better not read this in public because people might stare... The writing is beautiful and I basically adore everything about this book.

MEIN NEUES LIEBLINGSBUCH! Wow, nach den ersten drei Bänden die mich alle samt begeistert haben war das jetzt nochmal mein absolutes Highlight! MIKE ICH LIEBE DICH <3 so richtig weinen musste ich vor allem bei der Danksagung aber auch zwischendrin kam ich ab und zu nicht mehr auf alles klar. Ich muss jetzt erstmal recherchieren, wann ein neues Buch von Jamie Shaw rauskommt.

Please tell me that this book is going to be about Mike and Danica's best friend (the one with the short auburn hair and is 5'1" tall!)
I will be so upset if it's about Mike and Danica. Mike (who's been my favorite out of all four of them since book 1) deserves a girl who won't treat him like shit.

If you love rock stars, drama, angst, and falling in love with a sweet guy – this is the book for YOU!!
In the fourth book of the Mayhem series by Jamie Shaw, Mike Madden finally got his happily ever after.
Poor Mike fell in love with Danika, his ex-girlfirend, in High School and wasn’t able to shake her memory until they finally met again years later. Mike was such a sweet guy that he felt he had to give Danika a second chance, just to see if his memory of her matched the girl in front of him. It DIDN’T!!!
Danika’s cousin Hailey Harper on the other hand was as sweet and down to earth as they come. Hailey and Mike liked each other from the very first moment they met, and soon enough they found out that they had quite a few things in common. Nightly game marathon’s, late night texts and phone calls brought them even closer together. Both were funny, and genuinely good people. And their gaming nights were epic!!!
Hailey felt guilty that she was relying on her rich cousin and her guilt made her vulnerable to Danika’s machinations. She got pulled more than once into awkward that forced her to chose sites just because she couldn’t deny Danika. With a friend like Danika, Hailey really didn’t need any more enemies.
Mike was such a sweetie, a really good guy, extremely loving and caring. He didn’t really embody the rock star persona, he was more like a big, hottie of a teddy bear. One I wouldn’t mind to cuddle up to.
I also loved catching up with the old crew. And the girl gang was as awesome as ever and Hailey fit perfectly in, she just had to learn how to put her foot down in regards to Danika.
I did feel like Hailey should have used the word NO more often. She also was a bit too insecure for my taste, and too easily blinded by her cousins scheming. I tend to connect more with strong heroines, and unfortunately Hailey was missing the extra oomph.

in 2017 i read (and hated) an entire series of romance novels without adding them to my update feed, due to (presumably) masochism and self-hatred. here is (more) evidence of that mistake that full review:
this...was...fine.
it definitely had the most likable female character of the series. so that's a plus. also about a 200% decrease in slut-shaming and girl hate, which was magnificent. granted that's mainly due to the fact that the hate was being centered right on one girl-villain, but still.
this book wasn't as fun as the first one, but it wasn't as cringey as the third. i dunno. the first one is certainly the best, but i'm not mad that i read this series, i guess. at the very least a very good thing for my reading challenge.
bottom line: if this seems like something you'd like then read it? i honestly can't summon a feeling about this book at all so have fun

I was waiting such a long time for this certain story....
I really loved the previous three books and I couldn't wait to learn more about sweet and kind, Mike!!!
He deserved to take his HEA as well, but the things weren't so easy after all!!!!
You see, Mike was hunging up to his highschool sweetheart and he was refusing to go on with his love life... He was focused only in his drums, his music and his video games...
And then, one day, Danica came back into his life and he tried to reheat this old romance but she wasn't the same person anymore and he was catching himself to drown toward another woman, a woman forbidden to him...
Hailey was focused to her plan...
She had to bare living with Danika and to take easy her constant insults, in order to finish college and be the woman that she always dreamt about...
It never was a part of the plan to fall in love with her cousin's boyfriend, but it was inevitable to happen...
Mike and Hailey fought this attraction between them, but it wasn't an easy task...
What will happen between them???
Will Mike realize who really is Danika??? Will he fight to be with Hailey???
And will Hailey break the girl code, not to be with her cousin's boyfriend???
But Hailey has another one problem... if Danika wants she could ruin her future!!!
So what Hailey will choose??? Her future or her heart???
I really liked both Hailey and Mike....
Mike was too good for a guy, especially since he was a rock star!!! You know how these guys are usually!!!!
And Hailey was such a wonderful and kind girl, but damn, I couldn't understand why she had to endure all those shitty things by Danika...

Hailey möchte ihr Studium so schnell wie möglich absolvieren, um nicht mehr von ihrem Onkel abhängig zu sein. Und um endlich von ihrer Cousine Danica wegzukommen, die sie währenddessen ertragen muss.
Denn Danica ist nur in der Stadt, um ihren Ex zurückzubekommen, der mit seiner Band The Last Ones to Know gerade berühmt wird - und diesen Ruhm kann Danica sich nicht entgehen lassen!
Aber Mike ist süß und witzig und scheint viel zu nett für sie zu sein. Und Hailey kommt ihm näher, obwohl sie sich von ihm fernhalten sollte.
Aber Mike möchte gar nicht, dass sie sich von ihm fernhält, weil sie ihm schnell so viel bedeutet - nur Danica ist ein Problem ...
Protagonisten
Hailey ist ein vernünftiges Mädchen, das auf einer Farm aufgewachsen ist und schon immer Tierärztin werden wollte. Ihr Onkel finanziert nun ihr Studium und ermöglicht ihr ihren Traum, aber dafür muss sie nunmal ihre Cousine erdulden, die einfach nur zickig ist und Haileys Leben zur Hölle macht. Hailey liebt Videospiele und macht das auch gerne Online mit ihrem Bruder, der noch auf der Farm lebt. Außerdem liebt sie Tiere und verbringt ihre Freizeit gern im Tierheim. Man sieht also, dass sie ein durch und durch liebes Mädchen ist.
Sie mag auch Mikes Humor und spielt auch mit ihm gerne Videospiele, und das tun sie dann sehr bald sehr regelmäßig. Im Gegensatz zu Danica haben sie viele Gemeinsamkeiten. Sie mögen einfache Dinge und verbringen ihre Zeit gerne mit ihren Freunden, ohne sich verstellen zu müssen.
Sie muss aber darauf achten, Danica nicht zu verärgern, da sie von der Finanzierung ihres Onkels abhängig ist und ihr Studium auf keinen Fall gefährden möchte. Und mit Danicas Freund befreundet sein, oder noch mehr? Da wäre Danica gar nicht erfreut.
Mike mochte ich seit seinem ersten Auftritt in dieser Reihe. Er ist ein durch und durch netter Typ und ein Romantiker. Er interessierte sich nie für Groupies, sondern wollte einfach die Richtige finden und sich für immer an sie binden. Natürlich wünscht man ihm mehr als allen anderen das Glück. Und da Danica wirklich leicht zu durchschauen ist, wünscht man ihm definitiv nicht sie an den Hals, sondern lieber ein liebes und ehrliches Mädchen wie Hailey. Man merkte schnell, wie gut sich die beiden verstehen und wollte nur noch, dass Danica verschwindet, damit sie glücklich werden können.
Danica ist einfach ein Miststück. Nein, das ändert sich auch nicht. Und nein, sie hat keine guten Seiten an sich. Durch die Erzählungen in den Vorgängern wusste man schon, dass sie Mike das Herz gebrochen hat und kein unschuldiges Mädchen war, aber so krass hätte ich es doch nicht erwartet. Sie ist sehr leicht reizbar und nichts und niemand kann sie aufhalten, wenn sie sich etwas in den Kopf setzt. Sie ist verwöhnt und verzogen und möchte gar nicht studieren - sie ist nur in der Stadt, um sich Mike zu angeln. Und Mike ist ihr nichtmal wichtig, sondern nur seine Berühmtheit. Sie hätte sowieso lieber einen der anderen Bandmitglieder, weil sie besser sind, aber Mike ist für sie am einfachsten zu erreichen. Er ist für sie also nur ein Mittel zum Zweck, denn Danica macht vor nichts Halt. Auch wenn sie ihre eigene Cousine oder eben ihren Freund dafür benutzen und verletzen muss.
Natürlich sind auch die anderen Charaktere wieder dabei. Dee und Rowan versuchen Hailey und Mike zu verkuppeln, dabei ist Dee so wild und selbstbewusst wie immer und Rowan vernünftig und herzlich. Die beiden sind Haileys einzige Freundinnen und sind immer für sie, was genau das ist, was Hailey braucht. Die Band wird mit dem Plattenvertrag erfolgreicher und scheint sehr glücklich zu sein, da ja auch alle inzwischen verliebt sind. Und alle sind schrecklich genervt von Danica, und das ist absolut verständlich.
Handlung und Schreibstil
Es gibt ja immer einen Grund, warum zwei Charaktere in Romance Büchern nicht zusammen sein können, und hier fand ich den Grund durchaus überzeugend. Der Grund ist eben Danica und ihr verdorbener Charakter. Es ist eine Sache, sich in der Exfreund der Cousine bzw. in die Cousine der Exfreundin zu verlieben. Aber wenn diese auch noch dagegen ist und etwas gegen einen in der Hand hat, ist es etwas ganz anderes.
Hailey wirklich keine andere Möglichkeit ihren Traum zu verwirklichen, sonst wäre sie nie mit Danica zusammengezogen. Sie steht vor zwei Dingen die ihr viel bedeuten: Mike und ihr Traum, Tierärztin zu werden. Sie ist so vernünftig, nicht alles auf einmal für die Liebe wegzuwerfen, was ich schonmal echt gut finde. Außerdem sucht sie immer noch weiter nach einem Ausweg.
Fazit
"The Last Ones to Know - Rock my Dreams" hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Protagonisten fand ich sehr sympathisch und auch die Handlung gefiel mir. Außerdem gab es eine Antagonistin, die mich ebenfalls überzeugen konnte - soll heißen, dass ich sie wirklich ätzend fand.

Y’all, the wait for Mike book is FINALLY over!!! If you’re a fan of this series (it’s new adult rock star romances, how can you not be a fan), then you know Havoc has been a long time coming. Well, Mike’s book is finally here and trust me, you don’t want to miss it. It’s honestly the sweetest book of the series, because it’s got the sweetest hero of the series. Mike will melt your heart – I promise that if you read this book, you will fall head over heels for him like I did!
Going into this, I was a bit wary because I’m not a fan of books with heroes who are still hung up on their exes. I can’t stand when a hero has feelings for someone other than the heroine… but Havoc is definitely an exception to this pet peeve of mine. Mike is still not over the ex who broke his heart years ago, but when Danica shows up again with her cousin Hailey, he gets the chance to decide whether he wants closure or another chance. Except there’s one complication, in the form of kind-hearted, adorable, geeky Hailey Harper.
Hailey has always been overshadowed by her gorgeous, manipulative cousin, but for once in her life, she has something that even Danica can’t touch or ruin – her friendship with Mike. Hailey and Mike become fast, close friends, bonding over late night texts, jokes, and games. I adored the way their friendship developed so sweetly and genuinely. They are adorable together!! But soon enough, Hailey ends up falling for her cousin’s ex, who still wants to get back with him. She feels guilty, but Mike is one of the few things that is precious to her. Hailey is just a little oblivious about ;). But once Mike sets his sights on her, there’s nothing that can keep him from winning her over and making her believe that there’s no one for him but her. Can you see why Mike is the sweetest hero out of all the boys in The Last Ones to Know!?
I adored this book. After the rough start in the beginning, it wasn’t hard to fall in love Mike and Hailey’s story. Danica is a total beyotch, but thankfully she didn’t ruin the book with her manipulative ways. Mike’s sweet and dirty talking ways totally made up for her. I love this new adult rock star series, and if you love either new adult or rock star books, I highly recommend picking this one up. It’s fun, flirty, and sweet – but I’m so sad the series is over! Still, I’m looking forward to what Jamie Shaw has in store for us next!

Y’all, the wait for Mike book is FINALLY over!!! If you’re a fan of this series (it’s new adult rock star romances, how can you not be a fan), then you know Havoc has been a long time coming. Well, Mike’s book is finally here and trust me, you don’t want to miss it. It’s honestly the sweetest book of the series, because it’s got the sweetest hero of the series. Mike will melt your heart – I promise that if you read this book, you will fall head over heels for him like I did!

Going into this, I was a bit wary because I’m not a fan of books with heroes who are still hung up on their exes. I can’t stand when a hero has feelings for someone other than the heroine… but Havoc is definitely an exception to this pet peeve of mine. Mike is still not over the ex who broke his heart years ago, but when Danica shows up again with her cousin Hailey, he gets the chance to decide whether he wants closure or another chance. Except there’s one complication, in the form of kind-hearted, adorable, geeky Hailey Harper.

Ach Gottchen wie niedlich war dieser Abschluss bitte? Wieso habe ich so lange damit gewartet? Und wo zum Kuckuck bekomme ich bitte einen eigenen Mike Madden? Jetzt? und für immer?
Ich liebe die Mayhem-Reihe wirklich sehr, wenn man den 2. Teil einfach mal geschickt ignoriert. Diese Bücher beinhalten einfach so unfassbar schöne Liebesgeschichten und wundervolle Charaktere, dass man einfach nur dahinschmilzt. Und das auch noch in Kombination mit diesem Schreibstil - ich bin hin & weg...
Falls ihr diese Reihe noch nicht gelesen habt: macht es bitte. Ich denke nicht, dass ihr es bereuen würdet, wenn ihr euch in diesem Genre zuhause fühlt! :)

Ich liebe die Mayhem-Reihe wirklich sehr, wenn man den 2. Teil einfach mal geschickt ignoriert. "I NEVER HUGGED A KOALA!"
First I need to say that this book deserves 5 stars and more but the audiobook really wasn't read well so I heavy-heartedly have to take one star away.
I loved everything about the writing style, the characters and the story, it touched my heart, I laughed, I cried... I fucking read this book 5 times since last summer and I'm still not sick of anything about it.
This was the first time I listened to the audiobook, though. And the last one because I really didn't like the way this was read. But I won't linger on these thoughts because everything else about this book is perfect. I mean... MIKE! What's not to love?! The fantasy-books loving Me hates it but I can't do anything about it: he's my number 1 bookboyfriend. *swoon* That last scene was pure perfection. I have fallen hard and it happens everytime I start this book. I'd be jealous of Hailey but she's so darn cute herself.

Well it's pretty simple actually, I'm dying to reads this.

So, my means of expressing how excited I am to read this was perhaps cheesy, but I am so bloody excited for this.
Mike is the most adorable character, and if you dot believe me then here a quote from him, explaining why he doesn't want to sleep with groupies:
"Look... when I meet my wife, I don't want to have to explain to her why I slept with a hundred chicks before I met her, okay?"
Don't get me wrong, the other guys from the band were all pretty great, but Mike is the kind of guy I would actually like to date.
He's a kind-hearted and considerate guy, so much so that he worries about the feelings of a future wife he hasn't met yet.
It makes me want to cuddle him.
I'm assuming he's going to be paired with Hailey, as her cousin is an absolute piece of work and a relationship with her is unacceptable in my eyes. Mike deserves better, way better.
And Hailey seems the perfect fit for Mike: she loves videogames, and seems like a nice girl.

Gefühlt jeder findet dieses Buch absolut toll, aber ich habe mich eigentlich ziemlich viel aufgeregt.
Ich weiß auch genau, warum ...
1) Wie kann Mike so blöd sein und am Anfang überhaupt in Erwägung ziehen, Danica zurück zu nehmen? Highschool-Liebe hin oder her, die hätte ich mit dem Hintern nicht mehr angeguckt ...
2) Mike braucht erst einmal 2 Woche, um dann zu merken, dass Danica ja doch nicht so toll ist, es nicht mehr so sein kann wie früher bla bla bla
Ernsthaft?!?!
3) Hailey lässt sich echt jeden Sch*** von Danica gefallen und schaltet ihr Hirn nicht ein.
Ja, ihr Onkel zahlt alles usw., aber trotzdem muss ich mich nicht behandeln lassen wie der letzte Dreck auf Erden ... Wo bleibt denn da bitte die Würde?
Haileys‘ Aktion zum Schluss war wirklich überfällig und hätte schon viel früher passieren müssen!
Aber geil war es auf jeden Fall, ich dachte mir wirklich so: ENDLICH!!!!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Mike ist schon sehr aufmerksam und nett, aber dadurch, dass er am Anfang für mich einfach so dumm war, konnte dass dann nicht mehr richtig verbessert werden ...
Schade, dass der Abschluss nicht so toll für mich war, mein Lieblingsband bleibt der Zweite 🤗.

I have loved the other books in this series, so requesting it was a sure thing.
Love love loved Hailey and Mike. They're absolutely adorable together and their chemistry is off the charts. They're both genuinely nice people, so it was easy to root for them. The rest of the band was in the book and it was delightful to see them all again.
Yes, the plot line is exactly what you would expect. I'll admit Hailey's constant second guessing and berating her looks got so so so old, but Jamie writes a good story. I knew there was a HEA on the horizon, I just had to wait for Hailey to get her act together. And trust me, the epilogue doesn't disappoint.
My main complaint is that this is the last book of the series. I might just have to start at the beginning.

I still hate Danica.
I hate Danica.
I hate Danica.
And sometimes I pittied Hailey for falling victim to her cousin's schemes. But concidering her past and where she comes from and her predicament, I can sympathize.
But Mike was awesome, he was all I thought he would be and more. He is that silent guy in the corner that doesn't talk much but when he does he adds weight to the conversation. I loved that he knew what he wanted from the start, that he isn't pretentious and doesn't play games.
I think Mike and Hailey was the perfect closure to a perfect series, who I'll deffinitely will reread in the future.

Knappe 4 Sterne. Mikes längere Abwesenheit, Teile von Haileys Gedanken, der „schwächere“ Höhepunkt und vor allem Danica lenkten eigentlich auf 3 Sterne zu. Allerdings mochte ich Hailey unglaublich gerne und die Chemie zwischen ihr und Mike lässt sich nicht leugnen. Es gab viele wunderschöne Zwischenhandlungen wie die Zockerabende, das erste Anbändeln- und insbesondere der Epilog überzeugte dann doch im 4 Sterne- Level! „Mayhem“ ist eine wirklich großartige Reihe, die mir viel mehr Spaß gemacht hat als gedacht und ich werde die Jungs mit ihren besseren Hälften unglaublich vermissen!

Every book had something that bothered me, but the entire surrounding, atmosphere of being on the tour, performing, being in a band just worked for me so well I couldn’t stop reading...

Rock My Dreams ist wieder mal so ein Buch, auf das ich mit einem lachenden und einen weinenden Auge schaue. Ich habe schon seit dem ersten Buch auf die Geschichte von Mike Madden gewartet. Aber dieses Buch, bedeutet auch gleichzeitig, dass die Reihe zu ende ist. Doch eins kann ich euch schon jetzt sagen, dieses Buch beendet die Reihe mit einem Knall!
Als ich das Buch begonnen habe, war ich etwas besorgt, denn ich mag keine Bücher, in denen der Protagonist Gefühle für eine andere Frau hat. Allgemein Bücher wo die Protagonisten noch Beziehungen mit anderen Personen als dem anderen Protagonisten haben. Ich kann solche Bücher einfach nicht leiden. Aber genau so fängt nun mal Rock My Dreams an. Doch glücklicherweise, hat sich das Buch anders entwickelt als ich gedacht hatte.
Mike Madden steht kurz davor, mit seiner Band The Last Ones To Know richtig groß rauszukommen, als plötzlich seine Ex-Freundin Danica bei einem Konzert auftaucht. Vor Jahren hat sie ihm das Herz gebrochen und er hat sie bis heute nicht ganz vergessen. Doch sie scheint sich verändert zu haben, ist nicht mehr das Mädchen von der Highschool. Und dann ist da auch noch Danicas Cousine Hailey. Sie ist das komplette Gegenteil von ihrer Cousine, nett, süß, liebt Videospiele. Jetzt ist es an Mike sich zu entscheiden, ob er die Beziehung zu Danica wieder auf leben lassen oder sich und Hailey eine Chance geben möchte. Doch haben er und Hailey überhaupt eine Chance wenn Danica zwischen ihnen steht?
Wenn ihr euch jetzt auch Gedanken macht über Mikes Gefühle Danica gegenüber, so wie ich, dann macht euch keine Sorgen. Denn ziemlich schnell wird Mike nämlich klar, dass es nur eine Frau für ihn gibt...und das ist Hailey Harper! Und nachdem ihm das einmal klar geworden ist, versucht er alles, um Hailey für sich zu gewinnen. Wirklich alles. Deswegen kann ich euch nur sagen...Mike Madden ist der absolut süßeste männliche Protagonist dieser Reihe. Ganz ehrlich, es hört sich so an, als wäre er ein Softie. Aber das ist er nicht. Ganz und gar nicht. Er ist einfach der perfekte Mann mit seiner Mischung aus Neandertaler, Gentlemen und sexy Drummer. Ich liebe ihn!
Und auch Hailey Harper ist mal wieder eine absolut perfekte Protagonistin, die mir nicht die gesamte Zeit auf die Nerven ging (und ihr wisst wie selten das geworden ist). Sie stand schon immer im Schatten ihrer wunderschönen und manipulativen Cousine. Doch als sie Mike trifft, ist sie fest entschlossen, sich die Freundschaft zu ihm nicht wegnehmen zu lassen. Doch lange bleibt es nicht bei einer reinen Freundschaft. Denn nach jeder Menge langen Nächten mit Spaß, Videospielen und langen Gesprächen, entsteht mehr als Freundschaft. Hailey ist einfach eine so süße und liebenswürdige Protagonistin, ich habe sie ziemlich schnell ins Herz geschlossen. Und selbst das sie manchmal nicht so recht wusste, was sie will, und das sie Schuldgefühle hatte, hat mich nicht gestört. Daran könnt ihr wirklich sehen, das ich sie als Protagonistin zu schätzen wusste.
Und auch die Beziehung zwischen Mike und Hailey fand ich großartig. Es war so schön mit anzusehen, wie sich zwischen den beiden eine tiefe und ehrliche Freundschaft entwickelt hat. Und wie diese immer weiter gewachsen ist. Bis schlussendlich Liebe daraus wurde. Die beiden passen einfach so perfekt zusammen. Und ich finde es toll, das Mike endlich die Frau gefunden hat, nach der er so lange gesucht hat. Aber zwischen ihnen herrschte nicht nur eine starke Liebe und Verbundenheit, sondern auch eine außerordentliche Chemie. Denn sobald sich die beiden näher kommen, knistert es nur so zwischen ihnen und Funken sprühen über die Seiten. Solche Beziehungen liebe ich wirklich abgöttisch.
Wirklich, ich weiß nicht, wie Jamie Shaw es fertig bringt, so viele geniale Bücher in einer einzigen Reihe zu schreiben. Doch mit Rock My Dreams ist ihr, nach meinem Liebling Rock My Heart, noch ein weiterer Geniestreich gelungen. Denn Mike hat sich neben Adam ganz klar auf Platz 1 der Reihe geschlichen, was ich nie für möglich gehalten hätte. Aber Rock My Dreams ist einfach ein geniales Buch, das mich von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite gefesselt hat!
Also, wer diese Reihe noch nicht gelesen hat, aber sexy New-Adult Rockstar Bücher liebt, sollte die Bücher von Jamie Shaw definitiv lesen. Ich verspreche euch, ihr werdet sie lieben!

Und auch Hailey Harper ist mal wieder eine absolut perfekte Protagonistin, die mir nicht die gesamte Zeit auf die Nerven ging (und ihr wisst wie selten das geworden ist). Sie stand schon immer im Schatten ihrer wunderschönen und manipulativen Cousine. Doch als sie Mike trifft, ist sie fest entschlossen, sich die Freundschaft zu ihm nicht wegnehmen zu lassen. Doch lange bleibt es nicht bei einer reinen Freundschaft. Denn nach jeder Menge langen Nächten mit Spaß, Videospielen und langen Gesprächen, entsteht mehr als Freundschaft. Hailey ist einfach eine so süße und liebenswürdige Protagonistin, ich habe sie ziemlich schnell ins Herz geschlossen. Und selbst das sie manchmal nicht so recht wusste, was sie will, und das sie Schuldgefühle hatte, hat mich nicht gestört. Daran könnt ihr wirklich sehen, das ich sie als Protagonistin zu schätzen wusste.
"Hailey - ich will keine andere. Ich will nur dich. Ich bin jeden Tag dankbar, dass ich mich in das falsche Mädchen verknallt habe, weil es mich zu dem richtigen geführt hat. Es solltest immer nur du sein."
Und auch die Beziehung zwischen Mike und Hailey fand ich großartig. Es war so schön mit anzusehen, wie sich zwischen den beiden eine tiefe und ehrliche Freundschaft entwickelt hat. Und wie diese immer weiter gewachsen ist. Bis schlussendlich Liebe daraus wurde. Die beiden passen einfach so perfekt zusammen. Und ich finde es toll, das Mike endlich die Frau gefunden hat, nach der er so lange gesucht hat. Aber zwischen ihnen herrschte nicht nur eine starke Liebe und Verbundenheit, sondern auch eine außerordentliche Chemie. Denn sobald sich die beiden näher kommen, knistert es nur so zwischen ihnen und Funken sprühen über die Seiten. Solche Beziehungen liebe ich wirklich abgöttisch.
Wirklich, ich weiß nicht, wie Jamie Shaw es fertig bringt, so viele geniale Bücher in einer einzigen Reihe zu schreiben. Doch mit Rock My Dreams ist ihr, nach meinem Liebling Rock My Heart, noch ein weiterer Geniestreich gelungen. Denn Mike hat sich neben Adam ganz klar auf Platz 1 der Reihe geschlichen, was ich nie für möglich gehalten hätte. Aber Rock My Dreams ist einfach ein geniales Buch, das mich von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite gefesselt hat!
Also, wer diese Reihe noch nicht gelesen hat, aber sexy New-Adult Rockstar Bücher liebt, sollte die Bücher von Jamie Shaw definitiv lesen. Ich verspreche euch, ihr werdet sie lieben!

Um....can we say LOVED! This is such a beloved series and I couldn't have loved HAVOC any more than I did. Mike Madden is a hero who is going to be WAYYYY TO HARD for any other hero to live up to.

I have enjoyed each hot, delicious member of “The Last Ones to Know” as each guy had a unique and consuming story. But Mike... oh Mike, you fan-tabulous, soul searing, heart throbbing, panty-melting star! I LOVED your story the most and trust me, after Adam, I didn't think that was going to be possible.
With easy and fun banter, butterfly inducing angsts and a sincere story, this read has, without a doubt, gone into “one of my all time favorites” pile and I know I’ll be rereading it over and over again.

I can’t tell you how much I LOVED Mike Madden. He’s always been the quiet one, sitting in the background of his band mates stories, watching, waiting, supporting his friends and keeping his nose clean. In this book, Mike was unleashed on us readers and HOLY HELL was he Ahhhh-Maze-Ing! He was so freaking SWEET. So caring. So humble and down to earth and SO REAL! And HOT!! So incredibly HOT! I never expected his dirty talk in the bedroom or his sexual prowess to be so ... HOT! Did I mention he was hot? Cuz he totally was!
Hailey was gentle, sweet and humble herself. She was a beautiful heroine with a solid grasp on reality and infinite love for her hardworking family. She was also very insecure about herself and her worth. All her doubt poured off the pages in one touching scene after another. Normally, indecision is a trait that would annoy me in a heroine, but the author did a fabulous job in portraying just the right amount of self doubt and lack of confidence without over doing it, so that my heart broke for Hailey and all that she went through. She was such a good person. In contrast, Danica was a hateful, hurtful person who took every opportunity to chip away at Hailey’s self confidence. Hailey’s financial situation, her simple life and her ambitious goals made her perfect prey for the cruel things her cousin, who used to be Hailey’s best friend, said to her. I wanted to strangle Danica on multiple occasions!
Along with the angsts, this book was filled with emotional highs! Every time Mike and Hailey were in a scene together, I couldn’t shake the huge, sappy grin on my face and by the end of the book, my cheeks were sore and my thoughts were consumed with all the “feels” I just experienced.
The Wrap Up:
There are very few times I actually stand up and cheer the ending of a book, but I totally did in this one. The last couple of chapters added an additional high to my already elevated emotions. I LOVED how this book ended.
In addition to the beautiful romance between Mike and Hailey, I also very much loved all the interaction with the rest of the band members. It was wonderful reading how far they’ve all come. With a signing deal and plenty of fame, I enjoyed knowing all their hard work was paying off and their dream was coming true. Each of those yummy boys have full hearts with their sexy, intelligent, caring women at their side. And that epilogue?? Just PERFECT!
Such an amazing read with a phenomenal story and fabulous characters.

"Rock my Dreams" ist der vierte und gleichzeitig der letzte Teil der „The Last Ones to Know“-Reihe, was mein kleines Fanherz schon arg angeknackst hat. Alle drei bzw. alle vier Bände waren absolut großartig und haben mich aufgrund der Mischung aus Liebes- und Rockstargeschichte einfach durchgängig überzeugen können. Gerade den Abschlussband fand ich dann nochmal herausragend gut (es geht schließlich um Mike!) und hat für mich diese Reihe einfach nur perfekt abgerundet. The Last Ones to Know werde ich auf jeden Fall in Erinnerung behalten und gerne an sie und ihre Geschichten zurückdenken.
Von der Handlung her orientiert sich das Buch an den drei Vorgängern: Das letzte übrig gebliebene Bandmitglied – der Drummer Mike – sucht noch seine große Liebe, hat mit viel Drama, viel Eifersucht und einer sehr anstrengenden Ex-Freundin zu kämpfen, bevor er letztlich – endlich! – Hailey bekommt. Mir hat die Ironie dessen sehr gut gefallen. Denn wer die Vorgänger-Bücher gelesen hat, der weiß, dass es eigentlich von Anfang an Mike war, der eine Beziehung und eine feste Freundin wollte und nach der großen Liebe gesucht hat, während die anderen Bandmitglieder ihr Rockstar-Leben mehr als genossen haben. Zusätzlich hat der komplette Plot von "Rock my Dreams" meiner Meinung nach durchaus Sinn und bietet allem voran natürlich ein authentisches und logisches Drama. Für mich hatte es seinen besonderen Reiz, da die Protagonisten sich diesmal nicht wirklich selbst im Weg standen, sondern durch bösartige Intrigen und einen durch und durch verdorbenen und bemitleidenswerten Charakter ständig auseinandergebracht wurden.
Obwohl ich Mike schon in den vorherigen Bänden in mein Herz geschlossen habe und er vor allem durch seine niedliche und zurückhaltende Art hervortritt, hat mir besonders Hailey in dem ganzen Plot leidgetan. Sie versucht immer und immer wieder das Richtige zu tun und gerät dabei ständig unter die Räder. Sie wird so unter Druck gesetzt, dass sie am Ende selbst nicht mehr wirklich weiß, was sie will und was ihr wichtig ist. Sie ist so ganz anders als Dee, Kit und Rowan; ist so vernünftig, besonnen sowie zielstrebig und sie leidet sehr unter der Abhängigkeit von ihrem Onkel und der damit einhergehenden Abhängigkeit von ihrer Cousine Danica. Mir hat richtig das Herz geblutet, als diese Hailey zwingt, sich zwischen ihrem Traum und Mike zu entscheiden. In vielen ihrer Reaktionen und Gedanken konnte ich mich sehr gut wiederfinden, weswegen ich einen ganz besonderen Draht zu dieser Figur aufbauen konnte. Ich habe mit ihr wegen des finanziellen und emotionalen Drucks mitgelitten, habe sie für ihren Mut und ihr Durchhaltevermögen bewundert und ihr ihre Beziehung zu und mit Mike mehr als gegönnt.
Wie eben schon erwähnt bin ich ein großer Fan von Mike. Er hat in Band eins bis drei zwar nur eine Nebenrolle gespielt, aber trotzdem habe ich ihn absolut in mein Herz geschlossen. Mike ist lange nicht so draufgängerisch und offen wie Adam, Shawn und Joel, dafür glänzt er allerdings mehr mit seinem einfühlsamen, sensiblen Charakter. Er mag zwar das Rockstar-Leben, geht auch gerne auf Tour und liebt seine Arbeit als Drummer und den Zusammenhalt in der Band. Allerdings nutzt er diese Vorteile bei weitem nicht so aus, wie das seine Bandkollegen getan haben. Hailey und Mike passen so wunderbar zusammen, so dass ich doch sehr froh war, dass er stets zu ihr hält und ihr den Rücken stärkt, vor allem vor ihrer Cousine.
Gefreut hat mich, dass Rowan und Dee eine so große Rolle in diesem Buch gespielt haben. Dee ist zwar nicht unbedingt mein Lieblingscharakter bei dieser Buchreihe, aber die Dialoge sind bei ihrer Anwesenheit immer sehr amüsant und witzig. Und Rowan ist immer für Hailey da, bietet ihr ein offenes Ohr oder sinnvolle Ratschläge. Die ganze Truppe, bestehend aus den fünf Bandmitgliedern und den drei Freundinnen, fand ich sehr schön in ihrer Interaktion. Ich war froh, dass in diesem Buch alle nochmal auftauchen und die Auftritte sowie die Tour nicht durch das Liebesdrama in den Hintergrund geraten – diese werden überzeugend in den Hauptplot integriert.
Jamie Shaw hat mich auch dieses Mal mit ihrem Schreibstil überzeugen können. Ich bin nur so durch die Seiten geflogen. Zum einen lag das daran, dass ich Haileys und Mikes Geschichte sehr spannend und emotional fand; zum anderen finde ich Jamie Shaws Sprache einfach toll. Sie schreibt sehr mitreißend und einnehmend und macht die Gefühle jedes einzelnen Protagonisten für den Leser deutlich. Ich hoffe, dass ich bald wieder ein Buch von ihr lesen kann.

OMG. This book. SERIOUSLY. THIS BOOK! THE FEELS!
You don’t know how difficult it was to even get this book. Yes, the blog signed up for the blog tour to review it, but there were issues and delays getting access to the book and at one point, I thought it was a lost cause. I love this series, so while I was disappointed, I always intended to read this book, so it wasn’t like I was never going to get it. But low and behold, I finally got a review copy. I started it immediately, and was instantly in love with this book.
I know I’ve said it in the past about books, but I seriously love friends-to-lovers books. This one was no exception. I loved seeing Mike and Hailey become friends. I loved their conversations, the way they’d play videogames together, how he got to know her brother and became friends with him. I loved how he would wish Hailey sweet dreams every night. I loved their friendship. I loved the connection that developed between them.
And I loved the moment that Hailey realized she had a crush on him. She decided to do the right thing and walk away. Was it easy…no. But she did it. But Hailey was also a good person, and when she heard he was sick, she went to check on him. I have to say that I loved the scenes where she took care of him. They were so sweet!
Add in the moment when Mike told her exactly how he felt about her….I was swooning. There was a literal AWWWWW moment when he told her. And don’t get me started on their long distance date. That was just the sweetest thing ever. And it was a perfect date. You really can’t get any better than a pizza date.
I also fell in love with Phoenix. I got a little nervous for her at one point and had to put the book down and walk away for about an hour. I couldn’t have handled it if something had happened to her. I was beyond happy when Hailey took her home to Mike’s house. That dog was meant to be theirs.
As to be expected….I hated Danika. She was truly awful (the author did a great job with that!). I hated the way she kept blackmailing Hailey and threatening her. And all the snide comments, trying to break Hailey down and make her doubt Mike…let’s just say I haven’t hated a character this much in a LONG time. Being pushed off a cliff onto sharp rocks would be to good for her. She deserved much worse!
This book gave me a serious case of the feels. I loved every moment of it. I seriously couldn’t put it down. I’m actually extremely jealous that my bff got to meet the author at a book signing last year. Yes, she picked up a book for me, and while I love it, it’s not the same! It is now my mission to meet her and get this book signed. I shall up my author stalking game and make this happen!

I know I’ve said it in the past about books, but I seriously love friends-to-lovers books. This one was no exception. I loved seeing Mike and Hailey become friends. I loved their conversations, the way they’d play videogames together, how he got to know her brother and became friends with him. I loved how he would wish Hailey sweet dreams every night. I loved their friendship. I loved the connection that developed between them.
And I loved the moment that Hailey realized she had a crush on him. She decided to do the right thing and walk away. Was it easy…no. But she did it. But Hailey was also a good person, and when she heard he was sick, she went to check on him. I have to say that I loved the scenes where she took care of him. They were so sweet!
Add in the moment when Mike told her exactly how he felt about her….I was swooning. There was a literal AWWWWW moment when he told her. And don’t get me started on their long distance date. That was just the sweetest thing ever. And it was a perfect date. You really can’t get any better than a pizza date.
I also fell in love with Phoenix. I got a little nervous for her at one point and had to put the book down and walk away for about an hour. I couldn’t have handled it if something had happened to her. I was beyond happy when Hailey took her home to Mike’s house. That dog was meant to be theirs.
As to be expected….I hated Danika. She was truly awful (the author did a great job with that!). I hated the way she kept blackmailing Hailey and threatening her. And all the snide comments, trying to break Hailey down and make her doubt Mike…let’s just say I haven’t hated a character this much in a LONG time. Being pushed off a cliff onto sharp rocks would be to good for her. She deserved much worse!
This book gave me a serious case of the feels. I loved every moment of it. I seriously couldn’t put it down. I’m actually extremely jealous that my bff got to meet the author at a book signing last year. Yes, she picked up a book for me, and while I love it, it’s not the same! It is now my mission to meet her and get this book signed. I shall up my author stalking game and make this happen!

Wer New Adult Geschichten mag und diese Rockstar Reihe dann nicht liest, ist verdammt noch mal selber Schuld!!!!
Und wer den schönsten, heißesten, besten, schärfsten ERSTEN KUSS aller Zeiten erleben will, der muss Mike kennenlernen!
Noch nie hatte ich bei einer Kussszene so eine Gänsehaut!
Und dafür müßt ihr nun mal alle vier Bücher lesen, denn Mike ist Band 4 gewidmet.

Ich bin verliebt und glaubt mir, ihr werdet alle die Schmetterlinge und Funken spüren, denn Jamie Shaw hat einen unglaublichen Schreibstil - und das komplett über alle vier Bücher durch!
Ich geh' jetzt auf youtube und suche "The Last Ones to Know", denn diese Band muss es doch geben!?
