Love's Composure had me a emotional mess, I am talking gut wrenching ugly tears. It has been awhile to read a story that seems so personal and feel like I am witnessing true passionate love that is three decades of finding love, loss, insecurities, heartbreak and finding yourself.

Emily is a college student and has a chance to audition for one of the world's most famous music producer and composer. That audition does not go as planned but Emily is bright and will take her moment even if it means performing in the men's restroom, which leads to her landing a part in a new album. It's impossible not to fall in love with Em, she is strong, loving and determined. Her dream is to be a professional violinist but from this one passionate night with the composer and a few words from his manager her insecurities leads her to give up on her dream and work for the family's winery.

Sebastian is a legend and a genius in the music world, he performs, writes, composes and produces music that will always be remembered. His life is fast paced, lonely and driven by his manager that is also his mom. Sebastian and his mom have the life they always wanted and mom will not let a woman come between his career at any cost. Will that cost leave Sebastian alone in life? His life changes the moment he comes face to face with Emily and listens to her unexpected audition, which resonates all her emotions and she is pouring her soul through her music. One passionate night with Emily is all it takes for Sebastian to realize what he is missing in life. It sounded to good to be true especially if his manager has her way.

Emily and Sebastian may have ignited a passion on that night together but it takes ten years to meet again and with anger, hurt and questions they realize what went wrong. Life has taken them in two different directions but Sebastian is not willing to let Emily walk out of his life again. With two more decades of love, loneliness, heartbreak, friends and a person who is willing to destroy their marriage, did they ever have a chance?

Love's Composure had me feeling as if I was reading a private love letter. Ozlo and Priya Grey did a amazing job with having the reader feel as if they knew each character. I was a mess laughing and crying at the same time because at that moment, I felt as if I was best friends with that character and knew it was something that she would say. It felt perfectly written. This story had me in uncontrollable tears but made me realize to not take time for granted. 5 Star read!

I almost gave this four stars. Don't get me wrong, the book was amazing. Something I'm coming to expect from this duo. The LOVE of these two people is something that's indescribable. I mean the love story was just beautiful. It was an irrevocable, unbreakable love that transcended time, and space and all the small things. I hated the time jumps though. But, after reading the book, I realized they fit the story. I'll be honest, this is the saddest, most heartbreaking book I've ever read in my life. I cried so hard (I mean borderline ugly cry) and I couldn't stop the tears. I never expected the story that I got. I kept hoping I would turn the page and things would be different. I mean I'm still in tears as I write this review. That's what made me give it the five stars. I've never had a book affect me so emotionally like this. There's books that break your heart, but by the end everything's ok. This book though, just...breaks...your...heart. I can appreciate what the story tries to teach in its tragedy but, when I finished this book, I felt nothing but utter sadness as if my own heart has truly been broken. I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

3 stars - this was a perfectly fine story, but the writing style or the way the story was told was just not for me. I need a lot more tell and less show - and this story lends itself to large gaps in time and not a lot of background as to how they got there. Don't get me wrong - Emily and Sebastian's story was very emotional, but I never felt I got completely invested in them. I'm definitely going to pick up another story by these authors!!

I was given this book for an honest review and I am thrilled that I accepted the offer.
This was one of the best love stories I have read. I couldn't put it down as I wanted to see where it went and how it ended.
The story is written in ten year increments. Each of the main characters - Emily and Sebastian - give their POV for a particular event in a separate chapter. This style gives the reader an opportunity to understand where each person is coming from. There are Occasionally chapters by one of the supporting characters.
This is a love story about two souls who meet at a time each needs someone. Their lives come together and drift apart several times. During each period you see how Emily and Sebastian viewed the events and why they may have done what they did.
The story was well written and the reader easily gets enthralled with what is happening. You can feel the heartbreak, thrill of finding someone and the devastation of loss.
I would rank this book as I of my favorite I have read this year.

Love's Composure would have been a 5 star read for me. I don't want to spoil it so I won't say why, I am sure if you read other reviews you will find out. The book ends at approx 80% and no that's not the reason. It started for me as a beautifully written dual POV love story that was done so intricately that I was able to read this book in a few hours. It spans 30 plus years 2016 -2046. Ms Grey puts an interesting spin what life may be like in 30 years and I sincerely hope on one level - she's correct. Sebastian & Emily can only be described as a love story that transcends time. Have tissues ready.

There were many moments in Emily’s life she had forgotten, but that day 30-years ago would never be one of them. It was the day Emily was supposed to meet her biological mother, but that reunion never took place. Disappointed, angry, lonely, empty and unloved, these were the emotions that she put into playing the violin the day she met Sebastian; not only that, love blossomed. Sebastian’s mother had raised him on her own and sacrificed a lot for him, but she always reminded him that women couldn’t be trusted and would distract him from his destiny. Emily recognised Sebastian’s loneliness; how he longed to have someone in his life he could connect to, someone he could share tender, honest moments with, to share his music with, someone he could be honest and vulnerable with. He wanted someone to love, but Sebastian’s mother is not going to let that happen, scaring Emily off with her lies about him. The course of their lives take a different route until a chance meeting years later. When secrets and lies are divulged, do they have another chance at the happiness they should have had all those years ago, or will there be intervention yet again? This was a most compassionate love story that tore at my heart strings and if I am honest there were a few tears too. It was such an amazing life story about Emily and Sebastian’s trials and tribulations, but throughout it all Sebastian’s legacy does prevail in the most unusual of circumstances. This is a very heart-wrenching, sentimental book, with lots of twists and turns, but I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending it. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This story has left me a crying mess. It is a beautiful second and third chance love story of finding not only your soulmate but also what makes you happy. Get ready to open your heart and keep a box of tissues nearby.

Sebastian Lewis is a musical genius and the hottest producer and composer in the industry. His manager, also his mother, wants him to stay that way. She has instilled in her son that women cannot be trusted.

Emily is finishing up college and plans on returning home to her adaptive parent's winery. She dreams of being a professional violinist but feels an obligation to her loving parents. In a twist of fate she finds herself with an opportunity audition in a bathroom for Sebastian Lewis. He's immediately enthralled with her honest and vulnerable performance. She's hired to play on Melody Swanson's new album.

Sebastian and Emily's passion ignites in the recording studio and soon after in Sebastian's home. They connect on a higher level. Just as soon as Sebastian finds Emily he loses her without an explanation. Emily had the unfortunate experience of meeting Sebastian's mother and who in turn had ward her off. Emily loses her faith in Sebastian and also her faith in herself. She puts away her violin and moves forward with a life without music.

Ten years later (in the future) Sebastian and Emily meet again. This time the truth is revealed. It takes some convincing but Sebastian wins over Emily. Soon they marry but to only spend the next ten years of marriage separated by Sebastian's career. When Emily requests a divorce will Sebastian continue to choose his career over of the love of his life?

This story slowly shredded my heart. I connected with the characters struggles, pain and decisions. The HEA isn't what I expected but it does bring the story back full circle. The story is a reminder that life moves by quickly and you don't want to miss out on what's truly important. 5 Stars!

Between every line of this story there is a message. Never take life for granted. This was truly an emotional read and Emily was such a strong woman to endure all the pains she went through. Helping her parents at the winery but always longing to play her music. Sebastian and Emily were inevitably soul mates. They were each other's inspiration ! I received this book as a gift from a great friend and I am so happy that I did.

4.5 Beautifully Composed Stars

I've always loved the violin. Always. The richness of its tone, the loneliness yet strange togetherness in the sound of the strings, and it's ability to haunt you. This book was like a violin concerto that spans 40 years...and it will haunt me...in the best possible way.

Sebastian Lewis is a musical dynamo and the world loves him. His fans love him. His agent loves him. His mother loves him (or obsesses over him). But does he love himself? Not really. His life is strangely hollow, even with all its fulness. He's brilliant but deeply unhappy.

Emily Frost is a gifted violinist but she's putting obligation over passion. She's about to graduate with a degree that can put her adoptive family's winery on the map and she'll let the passion her music creates become a memory. A surprise audition puts them together, in a most unlikely place, and changes the course of their lives forever.

This book was fantastic and deeply emotional. It's breathtaking in its ability to make you feel the characters emotions...and forget that it just skips 10 years every so often. It pulls you in and takes you on an incredible journey of love surviving against all odds. I highly recommend this book! Just like Healing Melody, the authors have written an extraordinary tale of music and love being some of the most powerful connectors out there. Can't wait for more from these authors!

So Disappointed

I cannot believe this was written by the same Authors as "Healing Melody" I loved that book do I was looking forward to this book. What a disappointment. I fell in love with Emily & Sebastian in the first few pages. That was easy. But, I disliked that how the years would pass and we never saw the in between. Come On, after meeting and falling in love at first sight, Emily & Sebastian don't see each other for ten years?? I disliked how the book moved into the future, that us as the readers have of course not even experienced. So that was another problem with the book. Cars drove themselves but, cell phones were still popular?
And every time a Chapter came when Sebastian & Emily were happy another tragedy happen. We never got to actually read the good times they shared because it was more about the bad times. Of course I cried. Because of Sebastian's Mother they were not once but, twice torn apart from each other. Very depressing book IMO

5☆. Wow, this book had a great premise about it and it more than delivered. Whilst writing this review I am still an emotional mess. A lot of books can make me shed a tear or two but with this story I literally sobbed and had to stop several times because I couldn't see through the tears, and I got through a whole pack of tissues. It was so emotional and I felt like I lived every emotion with Sebastian and Emily, all the ups and downs and the happiness and sadness that they felt throughout their story. I am not usually a fan of futuristic tales or those that jump in 10 year increments but for this book it worked very well. My only complaint is that it ended rather abruptly at 82% when I was expecting it to go the full 100%. However, this did not give me reason enough to lower my rating. I would highly recommend this book and will definitely look out for more of their work as this was my first book by them.

I received this book free as an ARC for my honest review.

This is the 1st book l have read from this author and l enjoyed it immensely. Emily is a violin player nearly graduated from college with a marketing degree. Sebastian is a music producer, composer and player. They meet in the men’s toilet at an audition Sebastian is holding, he encourages Emma to play and she gets the recording contract for the new album he is producing. Sebastian is drawn to Emma and they wind up spending the night together. He leaves for an hour the next morning and his controlling mother arrives and lies to Emily who flees back to New York. They meet up again 10 years down the track, can Sebastian convince Emily they have a life together? Does his mother stand back and let them be happy? Or does she ruin any chance they have?

Oh my heart! The story of Emily and Sebastian's love was told through several POVs (but mostly by the MCs). The spans 40 years in 4 parts with each part jumping 10 years. While I'm not a fan of putting actual years in book, the story itself had me so invested that I was able to over look my pet peeve.

Throughout the book I was able to laugh, smile, get angry, or annoyed at the characters but at the end I was all tears. The sadness of the end, the beauty of their love story, I ended this book with tears and a smile. This was my first book by this writing duo and will not be last.

Absolutely amazing. A love story that pulls at your heart.
I was given an ARC copy for my honest review and I fell in love with Em and Sebastian. I was captivated from the beginning, a story of life falling in love, experiencing heart ache, friendship, forgiveness. The life that Em and Sebastian fought for and then knowing thattime always moves on, we love and experience loss throughout our lives and this story takes you along for the ride. I was bawling by the end, it's not a tragic story but it definitely makes you appreciate the now. Love to your fullest, and never take for granted the people who love you.

This to me is a definite must read.

Sebastian Lewis has been a musical prodigy since he was a small child, who grew up to be the best producer, and composer in the industry by the time he was twenty-six. Although he has more money than he'll ever spend, and any woman he wants to sleep with, he's starting to feel empty. He decides to shake things up by holding a last minute audition for a violinist to play a part on a new album he's producing. He didn't quite think it through well enough, and tons of people came out, so he will have to send the extras away. When he goes to the mens room, he runs into a beautiful woman who's holding a violin case. It's a random encounter that changed his life, as she decides to audition for him in the restroom. Emily is a college student who has great talent with the violin. The day of auditions, she had a very emotional day, so after she plays for Sebastian, she breaks down in tears. Surprisingly, she is the one chosen, so she goes out to LA to record. In L.A., she and Sebastian connect on another level, and she spends the night with him. Unfortunately, Emily is told the wrong info, so she disappears. Life takes them in two different directions, but they never forgot each other. Over decades of love, loss, heartbreak, and outside forces purposely keeping them apart, will they ever get their happily ever after?!

I want to state for the record that I LOVE Priya Grey to pieces, but with that being said, HOW COULD YOU AND OZLO DO THAT TO US?! If you haven't guessed by now, dramatic girly girl emotions straight ahead, SO SAVE YOURSELVES! I finished this story yesterday, but have since been in the fetal position, in a corner, sucking my thumb! My heart has been RIPPED OUT, STOMPED ON, SET ON FIRE, AND STOMPED TO PIECES TO PUT SAID FIRE OUT! It still hasn't been shoved back in with healing yet! This duo has been added to the list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD, and they will forevermore, be hash tagged #EVILWHORES! I have LOVED every book of theirs that I've read, but their diabolical minds have hit new levels of beautiful EVIL, and to be honest, I was brought to my knees with a snot slinging, big ugly cry to end all crying! Please don't doubt that this story isn't brilliant, because it is, especially with my strong emotions flying everywhere, and if you don't believe me, read it for yourself! The storyline flowed beautifully with such a realistic feel that I'm completely emotionally drained, even after reminding myself it's a book! Ok, I'm done with this emotionally charged review that may or may not make sense, but again, I'm telling you to read this book for yourself! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY and HIGHLY RECOMMEND! And don't forget a box of kleenex!

This is kind of like a lesser known Nicholas Sparks story for music lovers, which is a very good thing as far as I’m concerned. I absolutely loved the very real way the author discussed the role of music in these characters’ lives and in their relationships. I consider myself quite a music lover and, while I am out of practice, I play several instruments. Music has always been a very big part of my life, and it is refreshing to see that sort of love accurately portrayed in a novel. Personally, that was my very favorite part of the book. I’m pretty sure I’m going to have this quote stuck in my head forever, too: “The music never dies, it just gets quiet sometimes.” For me, that is an especially powerful thought, in reference to much more than music. In the mind of someone whose passion is music, music is, essentially, the meaning of life. Even in times when we feel shaky and wonder whether we are on the right path or whether there is meaning in the life we’re living, this quote reminds us that there is still meaning there, we just might not be able to see it clearly all the time.

I found this love story to be absolutely beautiful. There was passion. There were shared interests. There was a push and pull, and they made mistakes and rebounded. Personally, I find stories where couples are able to fall apart and fall back together much more endearing than those where a couple falls in love at first sight and stays that way. I felt so much growth in these characters and in their relationship. It really was a beautiful dynamic.

Quite honestly, the writing style is the only thing I was not completely in love with in this story. I am used to reading books in either first person or third person format, even if the point of view changes with each chapter. This novel, though, was written as if the characters were talking to one another, referring to the person they seemed to be talking to as “you”. Personally, this is not a format that I find particularly enjoyable. It’s difficult for me to follow, especially if I happen to have to stop in the middle of a chapter. As a single parent of a young child, I get interrupted a lot, which led me to re-read quite a lot of things in this book to recall whose perspective I was reading at the time. All in all, though, this is a really lovely story that every music lover I know would appreciate.

Sebastian is a Famous musician yes he has won all the awards that can be won and played everywhere he has set his mind to but he feels lonely, he has everything a Man could ever want except love. Emily plays Violin very well but that wasnt what she went to school to Pursue she went for business so she could run their business when they retired. On the worst day of Emily's young life she got the chance of a life time to play and Audition for Sebastian and he was blown away by your performance he could feel the emotions the real emotions from someone for the first time in his life.

What I enjoyed most about Love's Composure is watching two people who are obviously so right for each other and Soul Mates get chance after chance to try to make their relationship work. Life is tough at times and with him Touring and her running her family Winery sometimes relationships are not the forefront of ones focus. It def doesnt help when your mother in law is trying to ruin it at every chance she can get, but they always seem to cross paths again and somehow try to start fresh again as they have this love between them that hasnt died in all these years.

This is another great Ozlo and Priya Grey book. This was a fast, easy and entertaining read. This story sucked me in at every turn. This story has a Man who is a famous Musician who has it all but doesnt and wants more for his life, A Woman having a bad day runs into the wrong bathroom and gets to meet Sebastian and perform for him and ends up with the part, a love story that will go on and on if they are together or not, this story actually made me cry it was so sweet and heartbreaking, but so good. If you like stories like this, then Love's Composure is a must!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I don’t know if I like this type of book. I like my books to have an HEA. In my book world, my hero and heroine (and every secondary character) never gets old or die. They have kids and the kids grow up but they remain hale and hearty forever. Of course, this is unrealistic, but hey, this may be the reason I read romantic fiction with HEAs. That being said, this book was really good. I found that I was rooting for Sebastian all the way. I wanted to shake Emily a little bit because she was quick to believe everything without any back up and then run away. I liked that the authors gave a look into a future that I wouldn’t mind living in. All in all, this book definitely tugged at my heartstrings and frustrated me too.

My only "con" with the book is that it was too short. There was a lot happening and I would have liked more depth and details into both their lives. The first two parts were like quick snippets of their lives and you get some details in the next part as far as what happened before. I would have liked the third part to give more information and details in the final part of the book. It would have been even more awesome with more…. I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book from Hidden Gems for an honest review.

This was an interesting story, Emily narrates the story of her life, love and heartache.
Having learned that she was adopted she set out to find her biological mother only to have her mother be a no-show for their meeting. Making her way back home she receives a call from her best friend about a last minute audition for violinists that is being held by Sebastian Lewis, the hottest music producer and composer in the industry. She plans to audition and encourages Emily to do so also. Emily does meet with Sebastian and ends up auditioning in a very strange scenerio. Sebastian is attracted to Emily at first sight and as the story unfolds they start a relationship but there are a lot of out side influences that cause obstacles and eventually tear them apart. But sometimes life allows you second and even third chances at romance. This story was interesting read and I was sad to see it end but it left you with the thought of how short life truly is.

This was a great story and I couldn't put the book down once I started reading.

I loved the comical way that Emily and Sebastian met, with her running into the men's room and that turning into a spontaneous audition. But that encounter sparked a romance that would span the next 30 years, for better or worse. Each portion of the book jumped 10 years into the future, which didn't bother me, but it would have been interesting to see more of the in between.

The story was beautiful. The end of the book was sad, but uplifting at the same time. It was basically a roller coaster of emotions through most of the story, along with what the characters must have been feeling.

This is the first time that I've read from Priya Grey and wow...I was amazed by their story of Emily and Sebastian. As I started to read their story...I felt I had to continue on reading to what we happening next.

After Emily auditions for Sebastian...in a bathroom...there was a connection. They go their separate ways. Later he invites her to LA...and that's when....you gotta read it to find out!

I was a little confused in the beginning of the story but as I kept reading...my heart went to Emily and Sebastian. I loved this book!!! I so recommend it!!!

This book really drew me right into the story from the start. It then captured and held my attention till the very end. The unusual format was interesting - following narratives from one character to the others.

The emotions were excruciating. The sex scenes were beautiful and I laughed - cringed - worried - cried and let all my emotions take over reading Sebastian and Emily's story. Wow!!!!! I really fell in love with everything about this book. So much so I went and bought another two of Priya and Ozlo's books which I read excerpts of. New authors to me but soon to become fast favourites. Brilliant read!!!!! Thank you for the pleasure.

Wow, what can I say!! This is the first time I have read any of this authors work, and I will certainly be 1-clicking in the future. Emily is a violin player, and Sebastian is a player, composure, and music producer.
This is a beautifully written emotional, second chance love story, which spans over many years. I was captivated from the very beginning, and this is a story which is about friendship, heartbreak, forgiveness, and love. Awesome job from these two authors!

I love dual POVs. It helps me connect with the story and the characters. I want to know what they are feeling and thinking but I couldn't get into the way these characters POVs were written. It felt choppy and stilted. I felt nothing.... No emotions or passion from these two. I was told they felt this way but I didn't feel it. The book was so blah... When the characters had a chance to show passion and fight, all I got was blandness. So boring. Received a copy in exchange for an honest.
