The Penetrator Series: Books 1-10: A Pulp Thriller Collection

Rate this book
10 full length, action packed novels from the hard boiled pulp series The Penetrator. Mark Hardin is known to his enemies as The Penetrator. He's part Cheyenne and he's never forgotten his past. In quest of his heritage, Mark Hardin has learned Indian skills: to track a man, but not to leave tracks; to speak his native language, in ancient dialects and sign language. His years of army service in Vietnam taught him other things. He's a sharpshooter with almost any weapon a man can hold; an expert with hand grenades, explosives, booby traps, and line mines; a black belt in karate and aikido. He knows how to kill; he tries to stay alive.

As a child he bounced from orphanages to foster homes. He grew up with foster parents as diverse as Mafia Dons, Irish policemen, and college professors. He's seen all angles of life. He knows it is too often evil, and it has become his mission to eradicate evil any way he can. Evil brings

Captivating Series

This series kept me up reading late into the night! I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading the next 11-20. Love the characters - Mark, the Penetrator; Dave, the Indian; and the Professor.
The author definitely needs a new editor! The punctuation and misuse of words was, at times, so distracting I almost stopped reading. (Thus, the 4-star rating). For an author with a newspaper background, I wonder if the error was more in the transcription to Amazon and Good Reads than the author's actual writing. Definitely need to learn difference between "ensure" and "insure." But I am certainly glad I continued the series. Great and captivating storylines!

This series is not for a lot of people, it is violent and judgemental.
A better editor is needed as quite a few words were misspelled, the wrong word was used in several places, and the syntax was off in places.

The series will hold your attention. But after the first three books, the plots became predictable.

A lot of people will find this to be problematic.

I enjoyed these books

I liked the main character and his two partners. Their uniqueness was an integral part of the stories as the Penetrator pursues his antagonists, a task requiring the assistance of their training and specialized equipment

Light but right reading

This is a collection of short stories that are well written. The author did a good job of weaving a common thread that links the collection of stand alone stories.

A good series

in the style of Don Pendleton's "Executioner". I enjoyed this series as much, just a pity about the many errata and typos which I think are down to OCR transcription.
