The roughness of his bushy beard matched the way he treated my body - always desirable, always fulfilling, but always with a need and urgency that was neither delicate nor tender.
This was my FAVE in the series!!
Derek and Frankie are taking their relationship to the next level and they're both trusting in each other enough to put their hearts on the line.
I really loved this last episode!!! Derek is what made this the perfect ending for me. He was there for Frankie in her time of need. I was getting a little misty eyed over the tenderness he showed her.
He finally lets her in to his world and reveals all his secrets. Frankie proved she was also the perfect woman for Derek. But my favorite part of this installment was the SEX!! HELLO!!!! Mr Block is insatiable and the sexy talk is dirtier than ever. Panties will be melting all over the place!! I guarantee it!!!!
I was so very pleased with how the story ended and I honestly can say this series is really worth reading. I had my doubts that a man who wore flannel all the time could be sexy but Marni Mann definitely created one hot flannel wearing alpha!!! He will definitely be added to many women's book boyfriends list!!

UNBLOCKED is an erotically charged story about truth, understanding, consequences, revenge and LOVE. Oh how I LOVE Derek and Frankie's story in every way. Episode five offers the most sexy, beautiful and poignant ending to a story that has grown in depth and stature as it has progressed, and has embedded itself firmly in my book heart. The erotic prose is simply stunning to read and I couldn't have wished for anything more perfect.
Episode five is the climax of the story and the path where all other parts have been leading us to. Derek needs to right a wrong, correct an unjust in the name of his father and previously he’s put this ambition above all other elements in his life. He avoided the truth which could ultimately cost him greatly.
Frankie is a character I've grown to truly love and admire, she's really quite inspiring and Derek Block, he is everything that a book hero should be. Sexy, kind, edgy, domineering, charismatic and very, very giving in the bedroom.... Derek is so wonderful that it's really an endless list of attributes that I'd like to offer.
They have both lost a parent which affects them greatly and is shown in the narrative to great effect. It's hardened Derek in every way and inspired his trust and revenge issues.
The meeting between Derek and Anna (a secondary character), is poignant and emotional. The unexpected situation showcases his feelings for Frankie beautifully. The moments of interaction that this particular situation evokes in the story arc are exquisite and completely reached into my book heart and gave it a good squeeze.
The understanding and awareness between the protagonists is untouchable. They savour their time together, they look after each other and grow to understand the true importance of life, a theme showcased throughout with great craftsmanship and delicate care.
The snippet of information regarding Brea is absolutely fascinating. This character adds great value to the story and I’m super excited that we’re going to be given her story in Marni Mann’s next novella series WILD ACES.
The series, as a whole, has developed exponentially from where it all began and given me everything I crave in my reading material. Great plot, intrigue, angst, SEXY WRITING and engaging characters who captured my attention and made me feel. These facets lace sensuously throughout the vivid erotic storytelling that made my heart beat fast and at times moved me to tears. I smiled and laughed, cried and LOVED. Marni Mann is now a must read author for me and I recommend to all lovers of beautifully written erotic and romantic stories.

4.5 PINK IVORY STARS
Oh this was so sweet and also melancholy. What an end to a fantastic series. Ms. Mann didn't disappoint. Throughout the series, we've seen Frankie boldly put herself out there with Derek doing so on occasion but still holding back. Well, in this finale to the Timber Towers series, Derek bares all.
What I loved most about this book was Derek!! Big surprise since I've had a hankering for him from the get-go! LOL
Seriously, I love Frankie. She's strong and yet not afraid to be vulnerable and we've been able to see her come into her own as the story has progressed. But Derek's been holding back. In this book, he finally answers all remaining questions and he's also ever so sweet and caring with Frankie.
“I love the way sex looks on you.”
And you can now add fierce protector to his all Alpha, sex-on-a-stick attributes! Frankie faces a major loss and Derek puts her needs above all else. Proving his trust, love and devotion to her.
“I’ll do anything for you.”
The ending is oh so sweet and sexy as we finally have Derek and Frankie equally emotionally invested in their relationship. Ms. Mann also graciously gives us a sneak peak into their deliciously sexy and oh so naughty future!
I'm sad this wonderfully steamy, erotic and engaging series is over. And sure am going to miss Derek's devilish tongue...oh man...
But I hope that maybe Brea will get her own story? While I loved Will not so sure I could handle him with Julia! I highly recommend this series for those of you who go gaga for a sexy Alpha male, love erotica and a little intrigue!

4 ready or not stars
Derek "had his flaws, his secrets, a past that was dark and painful, but he truly was perfect for" Frankie in every way. To Derek, Frankie was the air that he breathed and can't imagine living without her by his side. Derek realizes the only way he can protect those he loves most is to come clean about his past, about everything ... no more secrets. With his past trying to block him every which way, Derek needs to move quick before it is all too late.
Unblocked - Episode Five is the finale of a whirlwind love affair, one full of passion and secrets. This was the ending we have all been waiting for, and as much as I enjoyed Derek and Frankie's sexcapades, the ending was almost anti-climactic for me. Mind you this is me talking the girl with the broken dark-o-meter, I'm not saying his past wasn't worth a few tears, I just thought there was going to be something a little more. I'm sure I am the minority, as I know many of my friends have loved their story and have raved all about it. This is just a simple case of it's me not you. 5 Highly emotional bittersweet endings
Wow what an ending!! The last episode gives you the perfect ending, you see how they have a bright future I really felt like I was seeing into that and knew that they were going to be happy and complete together!
Derek and Frankie's relationship just blossomed for me in this one, they ran the full mile with feet first, there was no stopping them from stepping one foot in front of the other. This last episode was just so heartfelt and complete I don't know how else to explain how this ended for me but it just brought everything together completely.
This that I loved!!
➡️ The bond they both shared, they were complete they leaned on each other when they needed each other, they also opened up fully.
➡️ Letting go of pasts and gaining a future, seeing what was and what is.
➡️ Romance was the key, they LOVED each other fully.
➡️ Derek Block #sigh and swoon he didn't stop till he was happy, he loved unconditionally he gave freely, he opened up, he protected. #no1beadedhero
➡️ Endings, this gave us readers IMO a huge big epilogue of sorts it was a great ending, Marni saved the best till last, I truly felt at peace at the end of this and I'll forever read Marni's books in the future.
I'd say for me that Derek cocooned Frankie and protected what was his, this was a nice conclusion to their story one that I have very much loved reading from the beginning.
And as always the sex is sensually beautiful, it's not shoved under the carpet and I actually loved reading that as much of the story. Sometimes I get fed up with too much, and I suppose because I've now read all five I felt like their moments were never enough I NEVER GOT BORED. Therefore if your wanting an intriguing series that has you wondering and guessing yet full of LOVE and HOT SEX then this is your next read!

Derek and Frankie finally reached the turning point in their relationship. With their pasts still hanging on, they either need to let go or take it by its horn. Their support to each other would be crucial as everything fall into place.
In order to move on with their future, both Frankie and Derek had to face their past. She finally dealt with her past and ready to start fresh, but suffered a blow when a something derailed her progress.
Derek was never too far away and provided her with all she needed. He also stepped up his game in the final moments in taking down his arch-nemesis Randy White.
Unblocked - Episode Five is my favorite in the series. I love how it had a slightly different feel to it. It was more emotional than it had ever been and it affected both Frankie’s and Derek’s side.
Though I have to say I wish it was longer where the issue with both Reed and Randy could be elaborated more. I felt like Reed issue was phased out too quickly and I was hoping for more confrontation during Frankie and Derek’s altercation with Randy.
The sex scene was of course smoldering and especially good when it was added with some emotions. I love seeing a different kind of vulnerability by the characters.
I love the ending. It was the kind of ending that perfectly suit the journey of their relationship.
I have to say, Derek Block definitely has the best mouth in all of heroes I’ve read. Not only he elevated dirty talk to a whole new level, he also had an infamous tongue that I won’t forget for a long time.
Unblocked is a five parts erotic romance novella series and recommended to those who likes their books short but sexy as hell.

4 **flannel loving** STARS
This is a review for book 4 and 5 in the Unblocked series.
I have to confess I was a bit worried how the last two books would work out for me. I read the first three Unblocked instalments quite a while ago and I very vaguely remembered what had happened before. I had visions of red flannel and smoking hot sex in my mind and fortunately the rest came back to me once I started reading.
About Episode #4:
This is the second to last instalment in the series and I guess it’s fair to say it was a bit of a filler.
Derek discovered what happened between his sister and Reed, and what Frankie has to do with it. A shock to say the least. Frankie on the other hand has finally managed to secure the division her father has always promised her. But it comes with a price. Full dedication to the job, being the tough business woman her father wants her to be, or continue the hot and heavy affair with Derek that has long since turned into something much more.
And then there were those questions I needed answers to...
Who is Randy? Why does Derek want to destroy him? What has Hayden to do with it? How much of a problem is Reed going to be?
Some were answered. Some answers brought even more questions with them. All in all, a short and smoking hot one, that sets the stage for the last book and the grand finale.
So without further ado...all about Episode #5, the final instalment:
Of course everything is solved this time around. All open questions get an answer and Frankie and Derek live happily ever after, but not without a bit of heartbreak and suspense.
The thing about this series is, well… it leans rather heavily on the erotica side. Frankie and Derek are super busy between the sheets. But that doesn't mean there is no plot. Over the course of 5 parts Ms. Mann managed to wove in some intrigue and gave just enough answers and even more riddles to keep me coming back. It also didn’t hurt that Mr. Block is one of the most delicious heroes with a flannel and beard. Gotta love a man like that. And in combination with a straight laced business woman and a little kink on the side it was a really nice ride.
On top of that they turned into a real couple during this last part. There are a few obstacles to overcome and they bring them together in a much deeper and caring way.
I guess my only complaint would be the somewhat anti-climatic solution to the problem *cough*Randy*cough*. Maybe that’s just me reading way too dark and twisted books all the time, but it felt rather easy in its conclusion. I was expecting more angst and mayhem, maybe.
But mind you, I’m not complaining because Frankie and Derek doing their dirty dance is reason enough to read the books.
What’s left to say? As a whole the Unblocked series (or Timber Towers series, I always get that wrong) is a nice addition to your reading shelf. A scorching hot couple, excellent side characters, fan-freaking-tastic banter - especially in the first books and oh so very hot shenanigans. The writing is wonderful and I seriously love Derek Block. Enough said.
Definitely going to watch out for more Marni Mann books. ;D

What’s left to say? As a whole the Unblocked series (or Timber Towers series, I always get that wrong) is a nice addition to your reading shelf. A scorching hot couple, excellent side characters, fan-freaking-tastic banter - especially in the first books and oh so very hot shenanigans. The writing is wonderful and I seriously love Derek Block. Enough said.
Definitely going to watch out for more Marni Mann books. ;D

Reading this final installment in the Timber Towers series was bittersweet for me. I'll never forget the first episode and being introduced to Derek Block. This alpha-male, sexy hot, bearded hero is unforgettable. If you're a fan of the series you're gonna love this episode. Everything wraps up beautifully and of course the steamy scenes are as amazing as ever! I've said it before Marni is an amazing author and this is one erotic series that should not be missed!

Derek Block was even more romantic, more Alpha, and just more of everything delicious, that had already made me fall in love with him from the previous books. Frankie was also amazing in this last episode, I had always liked her but this time around I was totally looking forward reading the chapters with her POV, because she was the epitome of the strong female character I love reading about in a story.
In this last episode, Derek and Frankie finally surrender to the love that has blossomed between them. Derek tells her all the truths about his revenge plans against the man who killed his father, and as Frankie learns about all the pain he had suffered, the walls that were still protecting her heart,ultimately crumbled. There's still a few loose ends and more pain for Frankie, but with Derek by her side she feels stronger and safer than ever before.
Derek will stop at nothing to protect his Pink Ivory, his devotion to her completely melted my heart.
Episode five was the perfect ending for a story that provided me with all the wonderful feelings I look for, when reading a book. Marni Mann takes us on a journey of true love that completely captivated my heart, solidifying my admiration for her as an author. I really recommend this series because it has everything a romance reader loves and so much more...

In book five Frankie is coming to terms with the secrets Derek has been keeping from her. He is ready to tell her the full truth & anything she wants to know about him. While things are a little unstable between them, Frankie's world begins falling apart, & Derek is her rock. He shows her through his actions exactly what she means to him.
-I felt it in every part of me.
-He truly was perfect for me.
-He gave me what I needed...he gave me everything I needed.
They take some much needed time away & also get justice against Derek's uncle. This book wraps up this story perfectly. Derek & Frankie become solid & really come full circle. There is such an intense bond between them, & a love & intimacy that is just beautiful. We also must mention the sex, cause omg it is off the charts hot!!! I really enjoyed this whole series & thought Derek Block was delicious & dreamy! Can't wait to read more from this author! :D

I am going to keep this short and sweet- Marni Mann gave us a fun, sensual, and captivating series to enjoy. She took us on a journey with characters unique to the story. Nowhere have I read about a man like Derek Block... so consumed with the need to be with a surprising Woman, he nicknamed Pink Ivory.
Yes, this was a Self-Made-Mega-Wealthy-Developer who took charge of everything he did...Now just by that description alone, we should have felt he was another one of many we have read before...
But... Derek had a certain flair and charm... an intensity which radiated off the page...which could have gone very wrong in another set of hands...
But it didn't.
Marni Mann made him this bearded, flannel-wearing sexual force with a focus on business and his woman which all could envy. He was not perfect... but he was perfect for this series.
She also gave him Frankie, a woman who loved letting go... who found her inner vixen with him. She had her own business sense and was successful in her own right, way before knowing him. In other words, she gave us a woman to be proud of. Yes, she too was not perfect- but she was extremely strong and weathered a lot in her life. She had risen above it all-we could root for her.
And then there was the plot. It made sense. People needed to be taught the lesson of how you cannot get away with hurting others. We were given secondary characters who fleshed out each of the lives of the main characters... they felt real... making the day-to-day actual.
Well, I may take that back...Because my day-to-day in business, unfortunately, did not include my lover or hunky man eating me out at my desk during my lunch break...or getting a quickie or my sucking...You get the picture...so maybe there was a bit of wish fulfillment in the writing and reading...
Ah hmmm back to the review...
Through these secondary relationships... we experienced what losing someone important to us felt like...the truth of loving someone all your life and then they are not physically there. It was powerful...it wasn't easy and the way the grief was demonstrated was not cliched.
So this was a winner in my book; a strong plot for me to follow, characters I wanted to find happiness together, and skilled writing.
This is in 5 parts and I am pretty sure it will be packaged as a complete box set, too. After all... Marni Mann has done everything right so far.

5 Perfectly Finished Stars
Several months ago by fabulous buddy asked if I would read an Arc by a new author to me. As I love my buddy and trust her opinion on books, I said yes and my love affair began with Marni Mann and her Unblocked series. I'm sad to say that the series is over but extremely happy that there will be a spin off series!!
This last episode was PERFECT, WONDERFUL, and HEARTFELT. It was where all the past and present collided..... and I LOVED every minute of it!! I cried, I smiled, I grinned, it was emotionally marvelous and it left me joyful and giddy!!
This episode was very sentimental for me. I didn't expect it but it was beautiful and moving. It brought another level of commitment and strength to both Frankie and Derek. It furthered their devotion to one another. Never having to ask someone to have your back, they just do it out of love and dedication for you- that is what Frankie and Derek have together.......Unconditional Love!!!
All the secrets come out.....but once again, the connection and love that Derek and Frankie have for one another is strong and deep. Seeing them weather the storm together is what love is all about. Being there for one another at times of good, bad, happy and sad. This episode brought things full circle. It was wrapped up perfectly and I will say that the epilogue was AMAZING!!! All I can say is Will........OMG- he needs a series too!!!
I also love the secondary characters, Brea and Will and Hayden- they are all very strong and loyal to Frankie and Derek. They are all a true family to one another and I look forward to Brea's series coming soon. To know that this group of people will continue to make me happy is Fanfreakingtastic!!!!
Marni Mann is a phenomenal writer. She pulls passion from all her characters with the most meaningful of words. Words that make you feel every emotion under the sun. She has gone to my favorite author list and is an automatic read!!!

In this final episode, all the missing pieces come together to form the perfect story for Frankie and Derek. Up until now, we know what is driving Derek’s need for revenge and justice but Frankie is still in the dark in many ways. Derek is determined to reveal all to her and just hopes she unconditionally accept him.
”He had his flaws, his secrets, a past that was dark and painful, but he truly was perfect for me.”
With a personal setback, Frankie is forced to examine her life and evaluate her priorities and realizes that Derek is devoted to her. He provides the stability and trust that she needs. Without a doubt, Derek is at his most romantic and is still sexy and insatiable!

I 've pushed this read as long as I could. Not because I didn't want to read it but because I didn't want it to end.
I've been with Derek and Frankie for 3 or 4 months now and I've loved them both as much. To be honest, I wasn't ready to let them go.
I know they deserve their HEA. I know they are meant to be together but how am I suppose to let go the amount of steam there's between them ?
« It didn’t matter what happened between us, what was said or what wasn’t. My attraction to him hadn’t faltered. He was the man I wanted to be with. The one I was falling in love with. »
How am I supposed to not hear Derek dirty talk in another book ?
“Look at me, I want you to kiss me, and when my tongue enters your mouth, I want to feel your cunt contract over my cock.”
I mean the guy is perfect and one of my fav' dirty talker. For sure I know I don't need panties when it comes to him.
In this last part, all will come to light. Final revelations are made. It will come to both Derek and Frankie to make their future their own.
This book has a perfect balance between, confession, lust, love, trust and feels.
Episode 5 has an emotional turn that I wasn't expecting showing yet another string to Marni Mann's bow.
From my own experience, I struggle as much as Frankie did in some part. I cried (one more time... something I tend to do a lot lately) and I shared a lot of Frankie's thought. This made the 5th installment much more personal to me.
Derek's story is not easy either and you will understand where he's coming from and why he was so secretive.
In 5 novellas, Marni Mann convinced me that she writes amazing erotica books with a bit of suspense that keep you on edge until the end.
I'm now eager to have Brea's book. I'm wondering which aspects will be develop more for her story.

Episode 5 is the conclusion of Derek Block and Frankie Jordan's journey. Unblocked has always been a true love story. While intent and purpose for coming about was never in the open, it didn't matter once the heart took over. For these two characters fought the unknown...proceeded into unchartered territory...took what they wanted and needed from one another...finally emerged better...together.
From the beginning Derek Block had a purpose, set in the context of revenge and justice. He was unprepared for a woman to derail years of hard work. Frankie had her own goals as well, but she too fell victim to her libido. Episode 5 has come so far in that the intimacy that once dampened the panties now made the heart flutter as well. Need and want have been mixed with adoration and gut-wrenching emotion. To read Derek, once thought to be so hard and demanding, as he comforts Frankie will leave you breathless...
Hasn't it always been about Protecting the ones you love the most? The reason for the darkness...the omissions of truth...all creating mystique, suspense, and distrust? But what if it was time to open up the past? The heart?
This review was a bit hard to write in that I found myself saddened to say goodbye to these characters and their story. Episode by episode Marni Mann pulled me into something beyond great. She wrote with an edginess and gave just enough with each installment to have me begging for more. I know this will not do enough to convey how amazing this whole process was for me as a reader. Derek and Frankie were so perfectly matched. The story never let me down and I feel Episode 5 was her best work yet!

This is the 5th and final episode in the Tower Timbers series and it’s hard to say goodbye to these characters I’ve grown to love. Derek Block has been an unexpected dirty talking fantasy inducer from the very first book. Who knew I’d find flannel so sexy or that I’d be shopping for a pink ivory door? Frankie is one lucky lady. But I digress.
The story picks up with Frankie having just discovered Derek’s real identity. It’s a potential setback for the couple since Frankie has given herself completely to Derek but it seems he hasn’t trusted her enough to be fully authentic. Derek is worried their bond is permanently broken. In the midst of everything, Randy proves to be a worthy foe who will stop at nothing to take down Derek’s empire. Meanwhile, Reed still wants Frankie back. Can Derek protect Frankie from the outside forces threatening to destroy their relationship?
We finally, FINALLY, learn all the answers we’ve been waiting for! Perhaps it’s the drama queen in me but my main problem with the story is that conflicts are resolved in a way I found to be somewhat anticlimactic. After much build-up and tension between the characters, their issues—the animosity between Derek and Randy, Frankie and Derek’s sister, Derek and Reed, and the strain between Frankie and her father—are settled a bit too easily, too tamely, and too quickly for my satisfaction. Is it realistic? Sure. And as a single novella this would be adequate, but when considered within the scope of the series I wanted more.
Frankie’s libido is in rare form here and there are plenty of naughty sexy times to please fans of the series. Marni Mann can write smoking hot love scenes like nobody’s business. In this episode however, I almost didn’t need them to feel the chemistry between the sensual couple, which is a testament to the excellent writing. Ms. Mann does a fantastic job demonstrating just how far Frankie and Derek have come in their relationship. The strength of their emotional connection is touching and practically tangible. The quiet moments between them are my favorite – the simple touches and glances are somehow more erotic than actual sex.
The plot is as intriguing as ever and the epilogue is both entertaining and satisfying. I’m very much looking forward to reading saucy Brea’s story!

A perfect end to a perfect series. Even though I'm sad it's over, I couldn't be more pleased with where Marni Mann took us for the end of Derek and Frankie's journey. A fitting end. Derek & Frankie stole my heart in this episode cementing them as favorite characters of mine forever.
In the final episode we really see Derek and Frankie each take pivotal roles regarding the importance of their relationship. There's a heartbreaking event where we see the love they have each other really shine solidifying it forever.
Marni Mann wrote a stellar series full of twists, turns, and scorching HOT passion.

Frankie Jordan is the top real estate broker in Boston, waiting and working hard to ensure her Dad leaves her the company.
Derek Block is a developer looking for the best real estate broker to sell out his latest project.
It was a professional match made in heaven. And then some...
For me this series is a lot about the sexual chemistry and compatability of Frankie and Derek. Their physical encounters were plentiful and constant.
I'd say mission accomplish Mr. Block. Have mercy does this man love getting his beard filthy dirty with all things Frankie. He's a dirty talker and and even dirtier doer.
The curveball for them is that of having found each other while they figure out why and how to be together and at the same time striving to still keep their eye on their own personal goal.
Frankie wants to ensure that she can continue to strive to get the company from her father and be able to maintain a quickly consuming and evolving relationship with Derek.
For Derek, we find out the mystery of what fuels his mysterious hate and revenge against Randy - his competitor and other things that I don't want to give away.
There are some secondary characters that I felt were unfinished stories. Brea - Frankie's assistant - and her history is a mystery and I think I want to know more about that. Will - Derek's assistant is awesome except for his choice of sexual partner. And then there's Derek's sister and to me she's a mystery and it still feels strange that she was involved in Frankie's past in the most awful way. These secondary characters are what's left open for me.
The ending was satisfying for both Frankie and Derek and their personal goals and for their relationship. I really did love how it all wrapped up for Derek and Frankie.
It was a hot read with enough story in between to keep it interesting outside the bedroom...or hotel room...or Frankie's office...or Derek's office...or restaurant...or alley - you get the picture.

Aww, that was a perfect ending to the Timber Towers series. Marni Mann has done an excellent job creating a great couple that you can't help but fall in love with. Note that the entire Unblocked series will release 8/25 concurrently as a Collection. If you haven't already read this series, I highly recommend you pick it up.
In this episode, I fell more in love with Derek. Derek never thought he'd find someone like Frankie when he and his sister, Hayden, set out to get revenge on Randy. Now that he has, he needs to make sure he keeps her safe.
In the midst of Hayden and Derek getting all of the evidence they need, Frankie looses Anna, the person who raised her. Derek is so loving, caring and supportive. The letter from Anna had me shedding a few tears. He later whisks Frankie away to Napa where they get to spend some time alone together. The sex is still hot and sexy. The trip is cut short though and Derek has to go back to take care of business with Randy.
I think Marni has done an amazing job wrapping up all of the loose ends to this series. Nothing felt rushed and it held my interest until the very end. In fact, I would love to have one more novella. Just a small glimpse into Derek and Frankie's future.
Thank you Marni for the opportunity to read this series. It's been wonderful following along with Derek and Frankie. No other man can make flannel so damn sexy.

This picks up right where Episode 4 ended. Everything is finally revealed, to Frankie, and the readers. It’s the culmination of all the work put in by Derek and his sister. It’s the final step for Derek to fully let Frankie in. It’s the solidification of this beautiful thing between Derek and Frankie, being there for each other thru thick and thin, fully embracing their connection and what they mean to each other.
I appreciate the fact that Frankie, for all her questions, did not automatically go to that bad place and doubt Derek, which could have created drama just for the sake of drama. It shows maturity and trust, 2 of the foundations of a good relationship. I appreciate that Derek acknowledged the oversight on his part which led to appreciating Frankie even more. Frankie for all her sass and take charge attitude showed a really vulnerable side here, I thought, which Derek luckily knew how to cherish, just making me love Derek even more. Oh you dirty-talkin’ hunkalicious sweetheart you! *g*
Seriously, I will never look at flannel the same way again. And if that flannel comes bearded… well, then… LOL

Unblocked – Episode 5 (Timber Towers #5) – by Marni Mann
4.5 stars!!
This is one of those bittersweet reads as this is one series that I did not want to end. Marni Mann has that knack of endearing her characters to you so hard that you never want to let them go and that is exactly how I felt with Derek and Frankie, I didn’t want to say goodbye.
Derek Block was one of those characters that you couldn’t help but fall in love with. You knew he had issues from the start but with Frankie he began to learn to deal with them and throughout this series the growth in his character has been exponential. Frankie showed him that he could love and be loved and in this instalment his character exudes emotion and that is something that has taken a while for him to convey, it was a huge stepping stone for him and only made me love him all the more.
In this instalment it is the culmination of their relationship, this is where the past becomes just that, the past and these two look forward to a future. They still have their issues to deal with and these are all tied up by the end. I was glad that this part of their story was not over in a flash and the suspense and intrigue continued till the end. Derek’s last bit of past was Randy and I am glad that he got his just desserts, finally.
As in true Marni Mann and Derek Block style this book had its fair share of steam, these two on a physical level cannot help but scorch your kindle, their connection oozes from the pages and seriously melts your panties. What this man can do is...well...ermmm...is there anything he cannot do? But seriously, their connection is palpable, my heart races with these two and that is when I know the author has got me, the characters have got me and it is one feeling I treasure when reading a book.
This book was super emotional in places and had me in tears so you may need tissues but to see these two connect on such a higher level had me in happy tears too. This is what I love about Marni Mann’s writing, she never fails to deliver on that character connection and she somehow always manages to hit me in the heart. Even the very first book of hers I read many years ago had that impact hence why I have continued to read every single book since, she has become one of my auto buy authors.
The Unblocked Series has been a fantastic read and one where I have looked forward to every instalment, if like me you have bought them piece meal then Episode 5 goes live today (25th August) but also if you have been saving yourself to read the whole series in one go, then Marni Mann is also releasing the total collection today too!
I cannot wait to see what Marni Mann delivers next; I for one will be at the front of the queue.

In the final installment of the Timber Towers Series Derek must reveal all his secrets if it means keeping the woman he has fallen in love with. He never imagined Frankie entering his life and being placed in the midst of his plan for revenge 0r that she’d be placed in danger because of him.
As Frankie and Derek journey comes a close we get all the pieces to the puzzle and get the story all wrapped up nicely with a fantastic epilogue that was pure icing on the cake.
I always find it hard to review the final book of a series and not encompass the entire series into it. When I started this series I had no expectations going in. I had a lot of reading friends who had nothing but great things to say about this author and this story – so I went in sort of blind, relying on like-minded readers to not lead me astray.
I enjoyed every second of this story. From every climatic twist and turn to the between the sheets heat, loved it. Derek Block was pure sex. From his scratchy beard down, flannel covered chest down to his steel toed boots. He was not just sex on a stick, he was sex on a 2x4!
Nothing was lacking. From the story line, to the characters – it was all done exceptionally well. Frankie was a fantastic heroine and we got to see such a human side of her during the final episode. I think her moments in this conclusion were flawless and it just pulled the last pieces of her character together.
Timber Towers was my first Marni Mann experience and I have to say it won’t be my last.

Wow just wow
Frankie an Derek's relationship as been a rocky 1 an it just kept goin on that road until there started open in up 2 each other an in this book they did everything was out there 4 both of them 2 c an after what they have both been through an was still goin through I was delighted they had each other cause they needed each other so much with Frankie dealin with Anna passin away an Derek still dealin with Randy there heads were al over the place Hayden Dereks sis was finally getting what she needed 2 get the ass put away but Randy still had a few tricks up his sleeve 2 make Derek angry they were both al over the place
Finally the questions have been answered an justice as bein served I sound like I m in law haha but I m so happy these 2 deserve happiness an a HEA I was delighted with the way this book went there was loads of sexy time which these 2 were great at at this stage ;) an it was alway so steamy with them an I thought it mite of gotten a lil slow this book but god no it didn't there was still drama up 2 end but it was some great drama

I'm so sad that this is the end! This series hooked me from episode one and I would count the days until I was able to read the next one. Unblocked is a series that has all the elements I look for in an amazing story.... the writing is seamless, the unusual plot drew me in and the sex scenes were off the charts! There was also a bit of suspense thrown into the mix which had me chopping at the bit for more. It's not very often that I equally like both the H and h, but that was the case for me with this series. Both characters have their flaws and it took them a while to get their shit straight to come together, but I definitely enjoyed the ride they took me on!
I am so honored to have had the opportunity to review this series. It introduced me to an amazing author and I look forward reading more of her work in the future. What makes it all better was hearing that Ms. Mann is writing a spinoff series about Frankie's assistant Brea. I just love her and can't wait to learn more of what makes her tick!!

We finally got to see how it all went down between Derek and his archenemy, Randy White. Well, I've got to say it has some interesting tidbits there, but the suspense is not the strong point for this series. It feels a bit too easy and now that I recalled, the only thing that Derek did was extracting information from Tamra in the beginning. It seems like Hayden is the one doing all the legwork behind the scene.
Anyhow, the best part of the series is still the erotic scene. Hmm.... Panties definitely not needed. Add in a healthy dose of love declaration with the lust swirling in the air, it guaranteed one wickedly great concoction.
A satisfying ending to the Timber Towers series. Is sad to bid farewell to Derek Block, his tongue and Frankie Jordan. I wonder will there be more for Brea? That woman seems to be hidden a whole closet full of skeletons.

Oh wow I love when someone recommends a book or a series and it turns out to be a really great read!!! Unblocked Series by Marni Mann was so good..sexy...excellent story and had one hell of an Alpha that just melts your panties in second!! Derek Block and Frankie Jordan were amazing together..usually the female character gets on my nerves with their " I don't know what to do about anything" attitude but Frankie was strong...independent and a total kick ass female!! I will definitely be recommending this series to everyone.

4 "Justice is Served Best Hot" Stars! Episode 5, the last of the 5-part Timber Towers Series, was a fitting conclusion to this erotically charged, real estate based, romantic suspense series. We finally get past events totally revealed and obtain answers to all our questions. Please note though that this series must be read in chronological order, so if you have not yet read Episodes 1-4, then you will not want to read the rest of my review below, until you have done so. The good news is that all the Episodes have now been published, so if you haven't yet started this serial, you can start it now and will not have to wait to get the whole story!
Episode 5 continues where Episode 4 leaves off. Frankie is in danger as Derek and, his sister, Hayden get closer to finally doling out justice. Moreover, Frankie's ex has yet to completely be convinced that Frankie has moved on. Derek, being the dominant man he is, needs to reconcile his need to control with Frankie's desires. Moreover, Frankie has an unrelated, tragic event that tests her her ability to cope. Will Frankie be able to trust Derek to give her what she needs at a time when she needs him the most? And will Frankie be safe in the end to enjoy a HEA with Derek?
The heat level definitely ratcheted up in this last installment! I love Derek's alpha moments! Moreover, it was nice to see how it all came together in the end. This was my first read by Marni Mann, but I will definitely be looking to read more of her works in the future.

4.5 Spicy Mouth Stars
Derek has decided there are too many truths and explanations he's been keeping from Frankie. It's time to come clean with it all. She will finally understand what all the secrecy has been about. Once Derek tells her everything, she's determined to help he and Hayden get what they need to destroy Randy White.
But before that happens, Randy comes after both of them. Workers are hurt on one of Derek's sites and Randy physically goes after Frankie. The story finally comes out in a deposition taken from Derek, that Randy is a conniving, cheapskate, who is more interested in the bottom line than the safety of his people, including family.
Once Randy is out of the way, he and Frankie finally have the love and the life they've always wanted and deserve. Derek finally has a lifetime with is "pink ivory."
I loved how the story wrapped up. The only reason its not getting a full 5 stars is because of something that happened, that I thought could have been a reason for a character to go to jail , but it was just dropped. But I still loved the entire story and would definitely read Marni Mann again.
Highly recommended. Lots of twists and turns and well written intimate moments.

It's all wrapped up, all my questions were answered. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I've loved the characters and story.
Frankie was the highlight for me.
And Derek was a VERY giving man ; )
