“…GUN is far more impressive than it has any right to be… a fine-tuned comic with its own voice and a distinctive look.” – Drew Bradley, Multiversity Comics
Trevor Werner is the sinister Mister Twist, a 'gun' (Good guys are called capes, bad guys are guns) down on his luck and getting long in the tooth. When Trevor and fellow criminal also-rans, bruised, beautiful Olive Armstrong and aging radical Agent Orange quite literally stumble upon the passed out body of a super hero, the plan is simple - ransom the hero at a black auction and split the take 3 ways. Of course, like all simple plans it goes disastrously, murderously sideways... Gorgeously hand painted throughout in moody watercolor, GUN is unique, with a distinctive look all its own.
GUN is a blast. Fun and consistently surprising story - engaging characters that I want to spend more time with - and gorgeous artwork drenched in color. I absolutely love this comic. Highly recommended.
Jack Foster's first issue of GUN is a lot of fun.* The illustrations are great, the coloring is hand done and very rich and the storyline is a very amusing look at the concept of good and bad - with a Twist.
